Tent daft eh. 😉 Yur certainly good with they cinematic shots. 👌 Never thought of looking at a tent that way. The Stella looks a good, spacious tent. Think I voted for the Xmid. Ye want a lightweight tent on the Pennine Way eh.
Cheers Kev, aye I thought it was between the the Yun Chuan or xmid. The weather is looking cold but the Stella is 2.4kg which will take my pack to 21kg 😬 I can only replen my food on day nine as everything is shut but I think it's not a too difficult hike, looks flat in a lot of area's. Went for a 15 miler yesterday and I was blowing 🥵 get fit on the trail so Robin said lol
It will be the xmid as my pack is 18kg 😮 warm kit and batteries causing the issues. It looks to be cold but dry fingers crossed 🥶 hoping to do it in 14 days and intending to do 2 night navs to be a bit different 🔦🙈
The doors unzip to mesh which would give you plenty of ventilation. The downside is it's black and attracts the sun but more importantly it's heavier than a 3 season tent. Hope this helps?
Hi I just thought I’d let you know the scarp 1 is on sale at the moment. I’ve just took the plunge and got it with the crossing poles for 325 dollars plus import taxes. Too good a bargain to miss.
I’ve ended up paying £77 in vat/import taxes but I can claim some of it back. If u don’t get one let me know as happy for you to try out mine to see if you like it.
@stewartgregson8479 yeh I've just ordered another tent from Ali 🤦 the scarp is a belter of a tent tbh. I may have to sell some kit 😂 That's very kind of you Stewart 🙂
@@greyhikes5236 yeh I’m going to have to sell my terra nova pioneer 2 tent and possibly my x mid as I also bought the x done a few weeks back. 😂 You can make an educated guess whether you will like a tent but it’s not until you use it that you really know.
@stewartgregson8479 omg! That's a big hit lol the x dome looks good especially the weight but I did read that a 4 season inner will be coming also so may wait for that. That's a cracking collection you have there Stewart 👍
And bugs. A tent gives me a mosquito-free space, or I want a different tent. If it's not raining, I want a mosquito net and little else. I want to feel as much as possible like I'm sitting outside but without the bugs..
really nice video
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the video. Great review. I am looking for a 4 season tent
Thanks, I think the Stella has improved a lot since I last looked at it. Thanks for watching 👍
I have the stella and love it
Do you have this version Drew?
@greyhikes5236 I'm using this weekend so will check. I bought last year
@greyhikes5236 yea it's the updated version. Currently using it for the weekend outside Brechin, scotland
@drewsummerton1560 brilliant, let me know how you get on. Enjoy your camp 👍

I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them on the Pennine Way Al. 👍

@ It looks a cracking trial Al. I’ve seen a few videos of people doing it. I will look forward to yours. 😀
Msr is the one for me it maybe slighty heavier to carry but feels sturdier in my personal opinion. It's always my first choice ❤
If one is more interested in 3 season camping than full winter, is the stella ok or does it get too hot?

Good point I belive that black attracts certain insects. 👍
