I was always confused by the term 'influencer', then two things happened this week. 1.While watching a youtube uk dashcam compilation, someone listening to the AutoAlex podcast in the car. and 2. While in a well known supermarket in the late evening, overheard a group of late-teenage lads saying "Egg" repeatedly to each other.
I bought my NC2 at 18 a couple of months ago and I'm absolutely loving it. It's already on some high quality coilovers and next up is some nice wheels and an exhaust
@thebritishbiker8197 I'm using the car as my daily right now and I don't have much budget so an exhaust would be a far better choice over arbs in my situation at least. With just the coilovers it already corners super flat

I think it says a lot when I’ve owned everything from Lotus/Porsche to AMG/Giulia Quadrifoglio, and currently even have a TVR in the garage, but you genuinely can’t beat a modded MX5 for a bit of fast road fun without losing your license.
Used LK back in 2014 when I needed wheels - they didn't disappoint with the JDM choice. Great support when they sent the wrong spigot rings and wheel nuts

I bought an NC just before lockdown for a couple of grand and it was fantastic. Fitted a Cobra backbox for a little extra noise. Id love to drive a sorted one with upgraded suspension and brakes. Due to rust i didn't bother incase it turned into a big job.
5:12 that shaker alone has sold me ngl.. never seen anyone do a thermal shaker before. Brilliant idea, I've been meaning to convert to cheaper and sugar free energy drinks mainly to save my teeth and expensive trip if anything
have one of these. I recommend an NC2/3 as you always hear of the older cars blowing up (the later cars have forged internals and a higher redline). a catless manifold unlocks another 20hp with a remap btw.

ive recently had the chance to drive one of those generations of mx5 at a auction and the car was nasty not that it wasnt a bad car it had mold on every surface on the interior and was damp but other than that and the handbrake being in a weird spot the mx5 gen3 is a pleasant car to drive

@@ivanvrabec8502 tuzna je situacija i u Srbiji. Pre par godina sam hteo da uzmem MX5, i nije se desilo. Kada sam pre par meseci bio u prilici da ga kupim, kostao je 8000€. Za auto od 120 konja to je preskupo. Pa sam lepo kupio Breru od 300 za 5000, i dao razliku za servis.
@@genotsSnor people around these regions usually import sports cars and then they charge you a hefty price difference. So, for a car that costs 5000 up north (2000GBP in the UK), we usually pay around 7500-8000EUR.
I’m slightly disappointed we didn’t get to see Benjy’s reaction to his own car mods before Alex got let loose in it. Fair enough this channel is part of the AA Multiverse but it could still have included Alex in another way (apart from the sponsor segment) and still had Benjy able to feel and hear what difference the mods had made.
I feel like MX-5s are so played out now. Every car person knows its the cheat track day car. But they are small, uncomfortable to ride long distances in, and not the best looking cars. I feel like now there's better options available for the same price that look better, can be made faster around a track, and are more easy to live with.
You say cheap MX-5, yet here they're 6k at the lowest :') And that's if you're lucky, they more often than not go for 10k I really wish we had UK's prices here for cars (or that the UK would join the EU again so there's no tax on importing a car)
You used to find running MX5s and MR2s for £500. Sounds alien now. I remember that top gear episode where they go rally crossing in "cheap bangers" and James May bought a running and driving 2nd gen MR2 (SW20) for 500 quid. Those same cars are now selling for like £6k now.
