agreed. It kind of makes me sad that people look back and think of themselves as cringe. You were having fun at the time, who cares if you were bad at it, it should be a valued memory
I feel like Sean would really like Stray Kids and Ateez since he prefers the darker songs also for girl groups I recomend Dream Catcher for the same reason Stray Kids: topline, ITEM Ateez: Halazia, Guerilla, Wonderland Dream catcher: Scream, deja vu
I'd love to see him react to Stray Kids, Seventeen, Ateez, XG, Dreamcatcher, etc... (Also at 22:23 you asked about which group people consider the best in their dance routine and I'd say that Seventeen has been known for their dance skills since their debut in 2015. 'Super' is a song by them that you'd love)
Yes, SEVENTEEN are literally still the reigning & undisputed Kings of K-pop Dance!!! There are so many amazing dancers out right now, of course, but nobody has consistently brought it like SVT for the last 10 years, and are STILL consistently bringing it hardcore and to the high level they do, when it comes to dance, choreographies, synchronization, & performance, each and every time.
Finding out that Sean is a fan of SHINee & then singing the opening lines of Lucifer together somehow means the WORLD to me (and I too, watched SHINee's dance practice videos in my bedroom & taught myself the choreography 💃💃)
Sean, as a fellow Kpop dinosaur myself, here are some recommendations for newer Kpop music for you to explore Kpop groups you may like: Dreamcatcher: Girlgroup, their sound is a mix of Kpop and rock, mostly on the metal or j-rock sound type of rock, dark concepts but still really catchy sound. Their fandom is also really nice and safe compared to your average toxic fandom so is always nice to listen to them and interact. Stray Kids: Heavy onto hiphop, edm and noise Kpop, but in a really well balance way, and they are self-made. Very creative, every member proves something new to their sound, dance and lyrics. I cannot put in words how amazing they are both as musicians and as people, 10/10 would always recommend. ATEEZ: Also on the hiphop side of Kpop, lots of mix genres, their Pirates concept is chef kiss, I have seen them live and its unbelievable what they do in concerts Seventeen: Best dancers currently, music wise they got you on the edge wondering what sound are they doing to do next, mix of self-made sound with well know producers. They are also so funny. Red Velvet: since you like Girls Generation and F(x), I think you would love their Velvet side more since is more dark concept or R&B base, but their Red is basically the innocent happy concept to the max, later on on their. career they adopted a Horror Feminine concept which is not common at all in girl groups, the last Kpop group that tried something like that was VIXX, which you may be familiar with. NCT: This may be not up your alley from the amount of members, but I think the NCT 127 and WayV units would be your taste, maybe more WayV since they have more dark concepts, NCT 127 have more of a attractive boy crush concept and noisy sound, but their R&B side is impecable. OnlyOneOf: More of a sensual, dark yet provocative concept, their sound is as seductive as their appearance. They are not as popular sadly, but their music is really good. Soloists you may like: Taemin: Since you love SHINee, PLEASE give it a try, you are gonna love it, I promise, his concept are dark, sensual, low-key thriller terror inspired. His sounds is this mix of classic Kpop, western R&B and eerie yet inviting sound, plus lots of androgynous and ambiguos vibes, mixes of feminine and contemporary dance with hiphop, Its a delight to hear and watch, he is a genius, Jonghyun would be so proud of the type of artist Taemin grow up to. Sunmi: She was a Wonder Girls member so you may know her, if you like Taemin's work, hers is a lot like it but more on the glamorous femme fatale concept. Amazing choreographies. Chungha: Keeping the vibes of the last 2, but more on the voguing, edm, lots of inspiration on lgbt+ clubbing sounds. Kinda like Charli XCX but in Kpop Bibi, DPR Ian, Dean: The 3 of them are on the same type of independent R&B and hiphop sounds, more mature than the mainstream Korean music sound. A little bit more rock base for DPR Ian music. Bands you may like: Xdinary Heroes: for being a Korean rock band their sound is so much like what you spect from J-rock from early 2000's, mix of screams, psychedelic rock, electronic sounds, you would feel like an anime protagonist hearing them lol. They are self-produced and you can tell in their sound how that sets them apart from the regular Korean music that is popular nowadays. Day6: More on the indie type of rock, yet they have from time to time harder tracks, they have some of the most beautiful song in Korean music, to the point they have been covered left and right by almost every new kpop group. I'm not sure if you remember that time when you play with Jae and spoke Korean to him during the pandemic? He is now an independent artist and streamer but used to be one of their bandmates until 2022. Both Day6 and eaJ music are fully recommended. Hope this helps you or anyone that wants to get back into Kpop or wants new recommendations.
Judging by Sean's tastes, he might like Ateez - Guerilla, The Real TXT - 0X1 Lovesong, Puma Stray Kids - Thunderous, Topline Xdinary Heroes (I don't listen to them often but they're an amazing rock band, their fandom can suggest some songs).
Since it't looks like Jack prefers darker and louder songs... from newer boy groups i say he would like Ateez, Stray Kids and maybe Enhypen. As for girl groups it could be Blackpink, Babymonster, Aespa
The main newer names in Kpop these days are: Male: Stray Kids, TXT, Seventeen, Ateez, Enhypen, Zerobaseone, NCT, Boynextdoor, RIIZE, Treasure, Ikon, GOT7, Oneus, Xikers, The Boyz, ... Female: Aespa, ITZY, TWICE, StayC, Newjeans, LESSERAFIM, IVE, TripleS, Kep1er, IZ*ONE, ILLIT, IZNA, ... Also some things have changed in the way the industry works. Idols gain popularity in the west earlier than in Korea, because of certain music styles. Idols most of the time have no positions anymore, they need to be diverse and able to do a lot They participate in survival shows to make their debut, they make these shows to make the best group of idols possible like: Produce series (I.O.I, Wanna One, IZ*One and X1), LOUD (Kickflip and TNX), The Unit (UNB, UNI-T),... Groups need to have at least one english speaking member and groups are way more global then before (at least 2-3 foreigners most of the time) Labels like JYP, SM and HYBE have created international groups like VCHA (american girl group), KATSEYE (international girl group) and DearAlice (Brittish boy group). The music has also become more westernized but most of the time with the authentic K-pop sound still integrated into the music The whole fandom wars is still a thing and idols are getting critisized fot their way of doing anything a normal human being would do (exept for NCT's Taeil, that story is insane). But I feel like the industry is becoming a bit less strict and more accessable to change. If you want some more info check out this video of DKDKTV "KPOP HISTORY in 20mins | From SeoTaiji to BTS": ruclips.net/video/kPS4tCHT6SA/видео.html
For newer boy groups who make noise music I can recommend Stray Kids, Ateez and Xikers! Also I'm so excited that you've been into Kpop when I also got into my first Kpop phase
SHINEE was the band that got me into K-Pop and was my favorite k-pop band; my friend and I were so lucky to get to see them in Chicago. It was such a different concert experience - they had little intermission games where audience members could go on stage and play with them.
Unfortunately, the k-pop world is still a mixed bag of stuff. Fandoms are absolutely insane, tearing at each other's throats over every possible perceived slight. There's also been a rise in what's called 'solo stans', which means ppl that are so obsessed with a single member of the group that they're rallying to have that member leave and start their own thing (and on the opposite side there's those who hate a member and want them to leave to protect the rest of their precious members). For example, recently a member of Riize, a 7 member boy group, got the worst treatment because he had a girlfriend? and smoked? before he was even in the group?? The company did nothing to help and these kstans went insane (there's been a recent trend of antis sending Funeral Wreaths with vile messages to the companies, talk about yikes) . It's bad, it's a very toxic place in general and if you find a few good friends that are ...y'know, mature enough to use their brains, then that's great, but in general every other day there's a "scandal" Some artists, if they're popular enough have more of a leg to stand on when signing contracts, but a lot are still basically owned by their companies. Some groups I'd recommend listening to, from the more newer generations, i guess, would be some of the BTS members solo albums (as you said, some are still in the military but they pre-recorded individual albums), Seventeen (one of the top groups when it comes to choreos), Stray Kids (this one seems to be very much to your taste, I think? They're also friends with Ryan Reynolds, ayy), Ateez (there's a lot of new groups, but idk if you'd be that interested in groups that are spanning between 18 and early 20s year group). For girl groups, G-Idle, Mamamoo, Twice, Red Velvet (I'm also trying to name groups you haven't mentioned that you've heard on tiktok already). Different members of Shinee and Big Bang are still putting out music, definitely recommend checking out Taemin and Key's stuff as well as Taeyang and G-Dragon If anyone comes at me for not mentioning a specific group, I will knife you. Please be mature about it oh my god.
Omg, you have no idea how much I appreciate this update on the k pop world!! ❤❤❤❤ Haven't been in the loop ever since 2022, so this bit of insight is genuinely appreciated!!
@alanardominim I found my best friend in the world through Stray Kids. She's literally my platonic soul mate. And we never would have met without kpop. But I also at the same time have had to pull away from some other Fandoms for my own sanity because the toxicity is out of this world. It's a catch 22 society
@@moopotatokimchi I have a similar experience, I found my soulmate when we were very active within a kpop fandom. I as ARMY and he as EXOL. I love him so much, we have been best friends for nine years.
Talking about choreographies, Seventeen are well respected for it. Not only for their dance but also their synchronization. Other newer groups involve Ateez and The Boyz.
i wanna recommend this old group called Vixx because they have incredibly cool concepts and themes to their music videos and well, their music in general. but they’re an old group, 2nd gen and i don’t think they release as much music as before. they still have cool songs tho, a very 2000s feel :-)
oh someone needs to tell him about NCT 127 and ATEEZ, i feel like "noise music" is his thing esp. songs like fire truck/wonderland. sticker by 127 would send him into orbit lmfao
@ Totally agree! I'm still a baby Stay, but I've listened to all of their albums and they just tickle my brain the right way. You can really see their progression as artists and it's just amazing. Plus, Chan's entire philosophy behind the name and what he wants it to mean to the group and Stays. Love them
I adore Seventeen for choreography and style. Their songs are so diverse from cute to harsher. Stray kids has probably the most unique sound in all of kpop right now as well.
As someone who also kpop around the same time as sean this was so fun to watch!! I don't really have any friends who were into kpop around the same time as i was so this was so fun to vibe with someone who gets it, thank you
I feel like one thing that rock fans and kpop fans have in common, and tends to be our middle ground, is that we really love songs with a HARD hitting bass. Because all the songs he pointed out are the same ones I like and I found this common across rock fans as well. So Stray Kids and Ateez will be right up your alley. As for actual new groups, 82MAJOR has some great heavy-bass songs as well.
You're so right; the rock to kpop pipeline is real and I was shot through it at a rapid pace lmao. I loved the drama of early Kpop, and if a song has a good beat and some nasty bass, that's my kinda song. I do also appreciate good vocals and melodies, and Ateez has those as well (although I wish they would utilize melodies in the choruses of their title songs a little more often - Answer was the song that got me into them and that's probably because it's hard-hitting while also having a beautiful melody).
Goo Hara was the one that brought me into kpop. It breaks my heart everytime I think of her. She was the brightest, strongest and happy idol I knew. Too many things happened at the same time for her. There's not a day she's not missed. Forever in my heart and the hearts of many. She changed my life and I'll forever cherish the memories I have of her and her smile. Love You HararaGu♡
Yeah XD. I was never really an avid listener of K-Pop, but years ago there were a handful of songs that I enjoyed and Sherlock was one of them. I was surprised about how much of the lyrics I remembered
I knew you were into K-pop but I never expected you to make a video on it, it was really fun to watch as someone that just got into K-pop in the last couple of years! As for newer groups I think you’d like, definitely ATEEZ and Stray Kids which I know a lot of ppl have already recommended. One of my personal faves that’s a little less known is Oneus, they have a lot of songs that incorporate traditional instruments/elements which I love.
22:25 SEVENTEEN is widely regarded as one of the best groups when it comes to dance and performance. they have 13 members and at one point (idk if still true) they were the most synchronized group according to a computer analysis. but honestly most kpop groups now have great dancers and theres a big emphasis on dancing in the industry right now.
SVT is still 13. It's just that one of their member, Jeonghan, got enlisted and is serving the military. Jun also got occupied filming in China for a while but is now back and is in every activities.
@@ryreyraph the “idk if still true” was in reference to them being the most synchronized group! seventeen are my ults and i dont keep up with many 5th gen groups so i wasnt sure if they are still the most synchronized group
@@meluncholy2889 honestly, same. Saw some clips of some 5th gen groups, I think it was RIIZE. They're pretty good. Still, SVT is still undoubtedly the most synchronised group for me. And them having a 13 member group and still being synchronised, is just purely amazing.
You would definitely enjoy Stray Kids like many others have mentioned in the comments. They have a bit or a darker sound, and their music videos are also pieces of art. So cool that you enjoyed the same exact songs from the 2010's!
SHINee was the band that got me into Kpop a few years before it got popular here in Sweden where I live and their song Hello and Lucifer were the first two songs I even heard. To hear you listened to them too feels so cool and reminds me of the fact that we’re all just people living our own lives simultaneously 🥰🖤
So happy you made this video! I had a similar experience to you! I listen to kpop here and there these days, but back then kpop was new to me and I thought it was the coolest thing ever (still think it’s amazing, especially that era). One of the things I loved about it was the music videos because in the US and Canada, music videos were very much like… someone standing and singing at the camera, but kpop was so dynamic! SHINEE was also one of my favorites! Also G-Dragon, TOP, Big Bang, Super Junior, Girls Generation, Brown Eyed Girls, and some others. The dances were fun, the visuals were fun. All around good time!
Lucifer had me in a chokehold😂 I never did learn the dance and still just flap my hands wildly and HOPE I look as cool as them😅 Omg Sean Shock takes me back so far i haven't listened to that one in so long
"Jacksepticeye takes a kpop dance class" when tho??? 🤔😅 But if you want to get into some newer groups with that darker tone, I think Stray Kids, Dreamcatcher (they were in the thumbnail for one of your Perfectly Cut Screams videos!) And Ateez would be absolutely up your alley! Another one of these with comments recommendations would be so fun!
@astoria-b even some of the older stuff - District 9, Hellevator, Mirror, Maze of Memories, Grr. Their early stuff is so slept on because of the Woojin stuff. But I remember when they dropped. They were everything!
It’s Friday morning and I’m starting my day time travelling!!!! Thank youuuu!!! The cringe from the memories of learning the dances in my parents living room and private concerts on my bedroom at 3am 🤣🤣
finding out jack is also a shinee stan was not expected but I'm so here for it. I'd totally check out their newer stuff, and all the members have solid solo careers too now!
EXO was the group that got me hooked. I remember the back like 10 years ago when I would stay up until like 2am for the release of a new album. I loved the era back then with all the different groups. Ah, what a blast from the past
i think its a universal experience of old kpop fans to dive through 2009-2014 kpop, wearing a black hoodie, singing the few words and dance moves you remember, like yes that was my peak era
In terms of hard choreos no doubt the start of that was Shinee, but currently hands down, the choreos that go HARD are Seventeen. Specially I Don't Wanna Cry and like the start of Adore U, the whiplash of having to do the scorpion right after lying down 😂
I started listening to old kpop like a week ago, and now Sean starts reacting to it as well, AND HE LOVES SHINEE, they are still to this day my faves and i love them to the core 🥹🥹🥹🥹
As a non K-Pop enjoyer (I was just never initiated to it), this video feels like a friend showing me there favorite music and I wiiiish this was something more doable on youtube, I really just loved this ❤❤❤
sean youre truly a man of taste.... second gen kpop is some of the best shit out there. this was such a fun video to watch as someone who got into kpop around the same time!
I'm so happy you did a video on this! BoA and TVXQ got me into K-pop, and I started listening to Girl's Generation, SHINee, Big Bang, so much nostalgia! I still listen to K-pop to this day and will jam out to the older songs. I've been listening to K-pop for almost 20 years? Crazy! Jonghyun's death hit me so hard that I had a dream about him that night when he passed. I was bawling my eyes out, and he gave me a hug goodbye 🥹 🩷 Thank you, Jack!
You have very similar taste to me. Most of what I listen to is Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Xdinary Heroes. 'Older' stuff I love is older EXO and BTS (both went softer in their later releases), Shinee, MONSTA X. I too don't typically enjoy the softer 'love' songs and much prefer something with heavy rhythm, I think it's called Noise Music. The stuff that's loud and powerful and 'pump up'. Stray Kids made/collabed on the song Come Play for Arcane S2 which you might already know, and also the credits song for Deadpool and Wolverine, SLASH
most of my favorite K-pop groups were gen 3 to early gen 4, so early 2010s cuz i loved how unpolished they were and seeing the improvement across comebacks, but i do love a shiny new look. EXO (ot12, but idk about Kris), BTS, VIXX (ot6), Day6, NCT (all units, including WayV), Dreamcatcher, Red Velvet, KARD and Twice are just a few that i remember loving in the height of my phase. i still love them for the most part.
I went on a nostalgic throwback not only with Kpop but also with Jack. I've been a SHINee fan since 2012 (My first Kpop and ult group until now) and followed you since 2015 I think and when I found out that you were a SHINee fan when you sang Sherlock in one of your videos, I was so happy ! And now seeing you talk about it is really amazing, since I've always wanted a video of you talking about it. Now It's a dream of mine to see you react to newer SHINee MVs and solo works too. Thank you for this video, it really made my whole month ! ps: Old kpop is the best for me !
The SHINee love 💕💕 I feel like ATEEZ might be your style, they're also incredible dancers/performers. Some of The Boyz songs as well, especially their recent ones. aespa as well. Love this overlap of content and what a blast from the past, thank you!
Sean being a 2nd gen stan makes so much sense. And also TASTE. Seconding the recs for ATEEZ and Stray Kids. I think he’d adore them. Dreamcatcher too! And I am BEGGING for him to watch some of Taemin’s solo work.
Omg I love how he knew older songs. Oh mine favorite kpop groups are BTS,Dreamcatcher,Taemin, and then SKZ. Honestly I think the fandom of the different Kpop groups are okay and slowly getting better;but isn’t prefect. Kpop groups as a whole are definitely respected more in my opinion. But there’s still so much that has to change;one step at a time
I'm might be sound toxic for you, but my biggest hope is "SOME of the army will realize, that BTS, don't pave the way for ALL K-pop". For themselves, definitely YES.
I am so glad you are doing a video about Kpop! The artists that really got me into Kpop are older milennial artists, like TVXQ(I knew them as DBSK back then), Se7en and BoA. But I love the newer artists like Blackpink and TWICE
JACK!!!! You made my Shawol heart so happy 😭 🩷 I've been a SHINee fan since 2009. Seeing you love them and honor them is just.. that made my whole year
I'm so happy right now. All the groups you've shown so far were my introductory groups too!! I got to see BEAST back in 2012 do shock in LA atca festival. It was AMAZING.
This was such a great trip down memory lane! ❤ Thank you for doing this. I miss all of these songs so much! I am also in the dark when it comes to the newer groups lol. I hope you do more of these.
trying to learn the dances to kpop songs is such a canon event everyone has done it 😭
agreed. It kind of makes me sad that people look back and think of themselves as cringe. You were having fun at the time, who cares if you were bad at it, it should be a valued memory
doing it as a workout kinda helps
literally can't stop doing the SKZ JJAM dances at work 😂
omg my first one was as if its your last by blackpink. might get back to trying again because i gave up on it.
No joke, my son and I are learning the dance to Maniac by Stray Kids lol
I feel like Sean would really like Stray Kids and Ateez since he prefers the darker songs also for girl groups I recomend Dream Catcher for the same reason
Stray Kids: topline, ITEM
Ateez: Halazia, Guerilla, Wonderland
Dream catcher: Scream, deja vu
Yessss Dreamcatcher!
three of my favorite groups!
ATEEZ MENTIONEDDDDD
YESSSS I totally agree especially if he really liked Exo and Bigbang
STRAY KIDS WORLD DOMINATION MENTION🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love the fact that Jack didn't play any of Seungri's parts in the Bigbang songs lmao
lmfao i was hoping someone else noticed, too!
seungshit is not part of BIGBANG 😤
Same lmao
@@minkiemouse literally all he did was smoke weed
@@schrodingersseraph youre confusing him with TOP. Seungri is a sex trafficker lol.
@@schrodingersseraphseungri?? or top..
Him being a SHINee stan and him remembering Jonghyun as well as Goo Hara made me cry ugly tears in my bathroom with my hair drying in my hands.
and sulli
Everything about this is PAINFULLY relatable, being a older kpop fan makes you just laugh at yourself when you reflect but it’s also so wonderful.
I think Jack would legitimately eat up "Guerilla" by ATEEZ. Also something by Stray Kids... maybe "Thunderous"?
You're so righttt
YES
You are sooo right!
both great songs
Liking kpop has become tism coded 😂❤
I'd love to see him react to Stray Kids, Seventeen, Ateez, XG, Dreamcatcher, etc...

i feel like jack would LOVE dreamcatcher
Seconding XG. I know they're technically not Kpop, but it needs to be added. They're fluent in Korean so good enough lol.
Seventeen the kings of dance !! Thank you for recommending them, i’m a stay and atiny but my first loves were Seventeen !! 💖
Thank you for taking a minute to remember Jonghyun, Sean! 🧡

GOT7 appreciation comment passing by since they're 3rd gen and they just had an amazing comeback 💚
I love that you made a vid about kpop. Hoping you'd make a sequel to this maybe diving into the newer gens/kpop stuff.
Ah yes, Taemin’s iconic striped shirt for the Lucifer dance practice 😂 It will never get old.
Judging by Sean's tastes, he might like
Ateez - Guerilla, The Real
TXT - 0X1 Lovesong, Puma
Stray Kids - Thunderous, Topline
Xdinary Heroes (I don't listen to them often but they're an amazing rock band, their fandom can suggest some songs).
For Xdinary Heroes I'd recommend Strawberry Cake and Freakin' Bad
Xdinary Heroes’ Save Me is what grabbed me after Han shared it on his IG. Probably would fit in with his tastes.
NCT 127 - Fact check. Not one for boy groups but NCT 127 somehow surpassed the gate because of how hard they go.

The whole fandom wars is still a thing and idols are getting critisized fot their way of doing anything a normal human being would do (exept for NCT's Taeil, that story is insane). But I feel like the industry is becoming a bit less strict and more accessable to change.

How you gonna leave out Blackpink and Red Velvet?
@@gravityUTubebecause they’re not newer kpop groups
@@triqstarrand TWICE are?
you forgot G-idle
I didn't think I was going to feel nostalgic about kpop so soon, but him reacting to Lucifer got me there 😭🙌🏾
me toooook
part 2 of this video but you reacting to newer k-pop stuff like ateez and stray kids would be SO COOL AND FUN
For newer boy groups who make noise music I can recommend Stray Kids, Ateez and Xikers! Also I'm so excited that you've been into Kpop when I also got into my first Kpop phase
i second these recommendations!! i love all three of these groups
XIKERS MENTIONED RAAAAAHHHH
WHO GOT THE MOVES🗣🗣 LOOK AT MY SHOES🗣🗣
OOH I've been meaning to check out Xikers! I saw their 'WITCH' dance practice and was absolutely blown away!
The Rose makes noise songs too. Highly recommend Back to Me or alive
SHINEE was the band that got me into K-Pop and was my favorite k-pop band; my friend and I were so lucky to get to see them in Chicago. It was such a different concert experience - they had little intermission games where audience members could go on stage and play with them.
my worlds are colliding right now. i love that you love shinee!
Jack speaking Korean will never fail to amaze me 🥹😂
Unfortunately, the k-pop world is still a mixed bag of stuff. It's bad, it's a very toxic place in general and if you find a few good friends that are ...y'know, mature enough to use their brains, then that's great, but in general every other day there's a "scandal"
Some artists, if they're popular enough have more of a leg to stand on when signing contracts, but a lot are still basically owned by their companies.
Different members of Shinee and Big Bang are still putting out music, definitely recommend checking out Taemin and Key's stuff as well as Taeyang and G-Dragon
If anyone comes at me for not mentioning a specific group, I will knife you. Please be mature about it oh my god.
God you are so right about the toxicity. Some fandoms are better than others from what ive seen but generally its a mixed bag frl frl
All members of SHINee are still putting out music!
Yeeees seventeen especially being such a bigger group and being so in sync
Never in my life had I once thought I would see Sean dancing to Lucifer, I can now die in peace
i wanna recommend this old group called Vixx because they have incredibly cool concepts and themes to their music videos and well, their music in general. but they’re an old group, 2nd gen and i don’t think they release as much music as before. they still have cool songs tho, a very 2000s feel :-)
Omg Vixx hell yea, I loved 'Chained Up' and always used to listen to Leo's solo song "Touch & Sketch."
seán and shinee??!! an unexpected crossover i didn’t know i needed until NOW
As a current kpop stan (since 2016), girls generation and shinee will forever be iconic :)
Girls generation on top 🙏
GIRLS' GENERATION MAKE YOU FEEL THE HEAT!!!🔥🔥
yesss
we joined around the same tome
@ cool! :) who was your first group?
oh someone needs to tell him about NCT 127 and ATEEZ, i feel like "noise music" is his thing esp. songs like fire truck/wonderland. sticker by 127 would send him into orbit lmfao
oh my god PLEASE 😭 my atinyzen heart would drop dead 💚 sticker is my fave kpop song because its just so insane
HE WOULD LOVE FIRE TRUCK! I thought that too!
@@fireruby1882 he so would! AND kick it, with the all the martial arts inspired choreo 🥹
Ateez definitely has some of the best Choreo right now, and them and Stray Kids probably have a sound most similar to what Sean likes.
Stray Kids is my favorite. I genuinely believe they have a song for everyone because they’re so diverse
Edited my comment because my fingers are dumb and can’t spell lol
@@jenclink 100% and I think they fit that 'dark and gritty' best. I've been a stay since debut and their journey has been *incredible*
he needs to react to skz
@ Totally agree! I'm still a baby Stay, but I've listened to all of their albums and they just tickle my brain the right way. You can really see their progression as artists and it's just amazing. Plus, Chan's entire philosophy behind the name and what he wants it to mean to the group and Stays. Love them
I adore Seventeen for choreography and style. Their songs are so diverse from cute to harsher. Stray kids has probably the most unique sound in all of kpop right now as well.
this vid has brought me so much joy
thank you
As someone who also kpop around the same time as sean this was so fun to watch!!
I've been in love with Be:First after I discovered when they collabed with Ateez for "Hush-Hush"
22:22 Taemin as an individual haha (I'd say Seventeen as a group; their synchronization is insane for one thing)
totally agree
100% my thoughts exactly!
100%!!! Taemin is the best dancer
You couldn't be so right !
This 🤌
I absolutely ADORE and ENJOY how happy and bright Sean looks talking about k-pop! THIS is how I want k-pop fans react to this industry❤
me toooooo
I recently just got into TXT, But I'll always be an Army at heart 💜
Goo Hara was the one that brought me into kpop. It breaks my heart everytime I think of her. She was the brightest, strongest and happy idol I knew. Too many things happened at the same time for her. There's not a day she's not missed.
Forever in my heart and the hearts of many. She changed my life and I'll forever cherish the memories I have of her and her smile.
Love You HararaGu♡
Watching Seán try to remember the dance was so endearing ❤
T.O.P. is gonna release something new this year finally.. Doom Dada is still one of the best artsy thing I ever witnessed
sooo very excited
Doom Dada is the shit
@LuciLoweline doom Dada dipi da da dooom- its such a Bop. Turn it Up is my go to jam though. That one slaps so hard.
I feel like jack would like straykids
2:23 proof that Seán had always had great taste
This makes me so happy!!!! I love young k pop loving Jacksepticeye!!!
Stray kids, ateez and enhypen are a few of our favs
you dancing to lucifer made my heart happy lmaooo
SHERLOOOCK AAAAA this is such a throwback!
Yeah XD. I was never really an avid listener of K-Pop, but years ago there were a handful of songs that I enjoyed and Sherlock was one of them. I was surprised about how much of the lyrics I remembered
i love seeing videos like this where Seán reacts to stuff and is actively enjoying himself! it really is a breath of fresh air.
Correct
Seventeen are still the most synchronized boy group, but Kep1er is now the most synchronized group overall.
WHEN YOU PUT ON ELECTRIC SHOCK I GOT GOOSEBUMPS! I was obsessed with that one!!
Lucifer had me in a chokehold😂 I never did learn the dance and still just flap my hands wildly and HOPE I look as cool as them😅
Omg Sean Shock takes me back so far i haven't listened to that one in so long
I love ATEEZ so much, and definitely recommend them to listen to in your spare time! It'd be a great group to explore :)
Another one of these with comments recommendations would be so fun!
omg I bet Sean would LOVE Stray Kids if he likes the darker vibe!! like god's menu, lalala, ITEM, thunderous, GIANT and CASE 143 for example
@astoria-b even some of the older stuff - District 9, Hellevator, Mirror, Maze of Memories, Grr. Their early stuff is so slept on because of the Woojin stuff. But I remember when they dropped. They were everything!
The two loves of my life, gaming and k-pop are uniting! Thank you Sean! ❤️
This literally makes me so happy, seeing Jack react to all our favs(including his), oml.
10000000 points for putting Lucifer in the thumbnail!!!!!
this being uploaded whilst i literally plan my shinee tattoo is INSANE i now have even more major respect for you sean 🙏
Spedicey & K-pop, what a time to react. It'll be quite a watch for sure. Tack for the upload Mate 🐺 🐾
It’s Friday morning and I’m starting my day time travelling!!!! Thank youuuu!!! The cringe from the memories of learning the dances in my parents living room and private concerts on my bedroom at 3am 🤣🤣
My favorite kpop groups are NCT(my number1 group!!), Enhypen, Stray Kids, Onewe and Ateez those are my top groups. But I listen to a lot more too!
finding out jack is also a shinee stan was not expected but I'm so here for it. I'd totally check out their newer stuff, and all the members have solid solo careers too now!
I remember when I first heard 2NE1 and I was like oooh this is good, there's a lot of great stuff here and then CL's breakout album dropped. Loved it
EXO was the group that got me hooked.
THIS IS THE JACK CONTENT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR 🎉
As a non K-Pop enjoyer (I was just never initiated to it), this video feels like a friend showing me there favorite music and I wiiiish this was something more doable on youtube, I really just loved this ❤❤❤
its so heartwarming to see a guy i watch purely for gaming also have similar interests 😭 u should def do a vid with evelyn learning a dance!!
I feel like Jack would love cypher pt.3 and maybe yoongi’s solo albums (and Ateez!)
sean youre truly a man of taste.... second gen kpop is some of the best shit out there. this was such a fun video to watch as someone who got into kpop around the same time!
Second gen for the win
In my opinion the group stray kids has crazy dancing and so does Ateez.
I was bawling my eyes out, and he gave me a hug goodbye 🥹 🩷
Thank you, Jack!
I love that Sean did this video!! I feel like he would really enjoy Stray Kids, and Ateez! Also I think Seventeen has the best choreography right now!
Oooh, I frickin' love Kard!!
I never thought I needed this combo in my life. I love this !!!
Ateez and Stray Kids are great groups!!!
0:20 HOW IS THIS REAL I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING CRAZY
I am so glad you are doing a video about Kpop! The artists that really got me into Kpop are older milennial artists, like TVXQ(I knew them as DBSK back then), Se7en and BoA. But I love the newer artists like Blackpink and TWICE
JACK!!!! You made my Shawol heart so happy 😭 🩷 I've been a SHINee fan since 2009. Seeing you love them and honor them is just.. that made my whole year
I love how much fun you're having in this video!
trying to learn the choreography to lucfier specifically is so real Jack, we've all been there
I'm so happy right now. All the groups you've shown so far were my introductory groups too!! I got to see BEAST back in 2012 do shock in LA atca festival. It was AMAZING.
This was the last thing I expected to see in my recommendations, I love it!!!! Sean bopping to kpop is amazing
I love the fanboying 😁 You got some good taste 🥰
OH MY GOD, FX AND GIRLS GENERATION JUST OPENED CORE MEMORIES FOR ME THAT I HAD LONG FORGOTTEN
Girls generation on top 🙏
This was such a great trip down memory lane! ❤ Thank you for doing this. I miss all of these songs so much! I am also in the dark when it comes to the newer groups lol. I hope you do more of these.
