Most definitely #1 is From Russia With Love between Connery and Shaw. The intensity of the build up to that fight is legendary. That fight still holds up well in this day and age because of its intensity and realism. It is gritty and realistic. Back in the 60's their were no other movies out there with a realistic looking fight like that.
Two tough opponents, very well trained and each in peak condition, and each knowing one of them is going to die, possibly a slight edge to Grant, as he's likely also insane and also Bond is a little more accustomed to the niceties in life so perhaps not quite as fit, but he's also smarter and more resourceful whereas Grant is brute strength and skill, a very even match and with everything at stake, Grant has been eliminating good opponents up to this point in the movie and Bond is unaware even of his existence and so at a disadvantage, and restricted to the tight confines of the two small cabins, the fight is desperate and brutal, between two pros, and set the standard for how fights should be choreographed for all time
Oh man, you gotta have green four vs Necros, that was such a cool fight! It was pre-Bourne with the use of weapons (ie electrical knife, flour, rolling pin), it was brutal(I.e green four’s face was burnt, Necros’s hand burnt)
Years later when Shaw and Connery confronted one another for the fight scene for "Robin and Marian", Shaw was reputed to have said, "Oh dear God. Not you again!" Train fight scene from FRWL: Best Bond fight, best cinematic fight EVER!
4' of Connery's best fight scenes 1' the train fight scene between 007' and spector assassin red grant in FRWL , 2' the fight scene in with 007' and the Japanese assassin in the office building of asato chemicals , 3' the elevator fight scene in diamonds are forever , with 007' and hired killer/ smuggler peter franks , 4' the pool fight between 007' and bambi & thumper
I liked your list. The only criticism would be the knife fight in QOS being on the list. I personally didn't care for that fight. I also thought that the lift fight from DAF should've been much higher on the list. I think it's one of the best fights in the series. Otherwise, I liked your list. Now that NTTD has been released since this video was uploaded, I'd replace the aforementioned knife fight with the stairwell fight. Just my thoughts.
Well chosen. To this day, Grant is the one I'd least like to go up against. "Any of the opposition around ...?" Sneering down his nose at an unsuspecting Bond. Honorable mention to Greene for his all-out banshee-psycho with the axe, short-lived though it was.
Lazenby’s two fights belong in the top five. So does Connery-Shaw on the train! Craig is also excellent. It’s remarkable how stale and repetitive the later fights were, that were coordinated by Bob Simmons. The scenes here from “Goldfinger,” “Thunderball,” and “Diamonds Are Forever” are perfect examples. Parts of them are downright ridiculous!
Yes they are ridiculous I will agree but it was the sixties so from that viewpoint it was the thing that entertained people of that time so for me they great and fun 👍
@@100woodywu Thanks for your reply; enjoyed your compilation! Actually, “From Russia With Love” (1963) was Simmons’s work, and it was great. Downhill from there! He was glad to avoid “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” (1969), believing that a model and “chocolate box carrier” [Lazenby] was beneath him. Well, thank you, Bob - the film was much better without you! And your “skills” added nothing to Moore’s mediocre movies. Simmons contributed to TV shows like “The Saint” and “Danger Man,” and those fights are not terribly thrilling, either!
@@thomaschacko6320 I love the 1970’s Roger Moore bond movies but his fight scenes can’t be added to anyone’s list lol 😆. Moore looked unfit and unconvincing as a spy even though some of his movies are fun to watch.
Nice list, although you missed a few great fight scenes with Rodger Moore: Moonraker: Bond vs Char in the clock. A View to a Kill: Bond vs Zorin on the Golden Gate Bridge......I know it's a matter of taste though. Still, thanx for posting!
Rodger Moore is great and entertaining but I personally find his fight scenes a bit slow and is probably due to him as an actor. But his first 4 movies as Bond is some of the best.
My bes 5 fight in bond movie :1.006 vs 007 in goldeneye, 2. from russia with love Grant vs bond,3. skyfall patrice vs bond in shangai, 4. live and let die tee hee johnson vs bond, 5. the living daylights necros vs bond
None from the two movies from Dalton?. He took Dario to task by a blow and a headbutt, along with the assassin/imposter in the 1987 movie - despite those not being long at all, he ain't no pushover - don't forget 007 taking down multiple opponents in Octopussy. Nonetheless a good selection.
Yes Dalton is underrated as bond and a shame he wasn’t bond in more movies. He was very close to the spy character in Ian Fleming’s Novels being a dark character rather than the comedy act that Moore portrayed.
Wrong. He is second place because of Ian Fleming persona against blond bond. Read the casino royale novel. 1st place and best bonds r joint choice between Sean Connery and Tim dalton. Period. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The better fight scene stay From russia with love, Thunderball, The spy wo love me, Casino royal and On majesty secret service. In The spy wo love me Roger Moore to make a lot fight scene
Vistdalkongen Norsk I chose the Sean Connery train fight as no 1 because of the quality of fight scene in regards to the era it was made. Parkour fight scene is excellent but there are many fight scenes in many movies of that quality.

Lazenby's fight scenes were pretty impressive, one of them actually led to the guy who played Grunter getting the part..

Definitely the best fight scene, in my favorite movie, of all the movies. A true fight.
Definitely. That was good. Just watch out for those wrist watch garrotes and briefcase throwing knifes.
#7 Is surprisingly intense and thrilling. Fighting in such a tight space in a believable manner rightly... elevated the scene. ^^
I love how Bond strangled Grant for less time than he was strangled himself in that fight, and yet Bond survived and Grant didn't.
Grant was out of breath when he was strangled .
I love the way they speed the film up ever so slightly during some of Connery's fight scenes. Good compilation.
You forgot the Train Fight (Bond vs Hinx) from Spectre. But overall this list is very good.
Love the fight scene in the lift at close quarters with little swinging room . Joe Robinson the stunt man certainly made a fist of it.4:17

Agree, that fight between Necros and the MI6 agent is intense
That was a great fight and introduction to the Dalton era. Things had changed.
Golden eye wins in every department for action sequences
Thanks for the ongoing reminder about the “Filmora” process! Won’t forget it anytime soon!

Imagine if Timothy Dalton was starred in A View To A Kill as his first 007 film?
@@zelphplayz Interesting: the films were only 2 years apart....guess they knew who'd replace Moore....hmmmm, it could have happened huh?
Amazing how in these fight scenes nether Bond or his antagonist aren't missing any teeth.
Main idea was for each individual to overcome the other - not brawling in a street fight.
@@anthonylewis2080 So you are saying in real life they would come out without a scratch in this kind of fight? Main idea or not.
@wiseguymaybe : Far from it, in every situation where Bond is in a melee, there's only one purpose - Damage limitation isn't an option.
I miss The spy wo love me, Bond vs Jaws in the train. The better actor from fight scene with Bond is Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Craig with Lazenby
Sean, Lazenby, Craig and Roger Moore his very marvellous. In fight scene
One honorable mention should be the train fight in SPECTRE
Yes the train fight in Spectre is the one time that Bond could have lost the fight more than any other of his fights. Great fight scene 👍.
