You compared the weight of this with the head (about 1.8kg), to the weight of the 1 series without the head (1kg). This one is actually 1.33kg without the head.
Thank you so much for this video, I was wondering if they have an attachment if I wanted to do overheard shots like of me drawing? Or can you recommend a tripod that I could use for both traveling that is lightweight and also to be in doors and has an arm for overhead shots? Thank you so much!
Thanks for your comment 🙏🏻 Looks like you've come to the right channel! If you want to take a look at my playlists on my channel you will find a section called 'tripod reviews' In this you will find reviews on several tripods for all skillset and budgets! Hope this helps 👍🏽
Ahh the problem with 'price' being scored, it sometimes, not always, you get what you pay for. With Gitzo, you will buy a tripod once, with something half its cost, you may buy it 5 times. I have a cheaper tripod currently, and after 3 years the spin lock sheath has come loose and need re gluing and I am constantly getting sand in. Won't happen with a gitzo.

No disrespect but I would expect a tripod review to test the sturdiness, vibration etc……
and usable angles
It's expensive, but not when compared with one of its main competitors, the model(s) from Really Right Stuff.
Did you testet a series 1 GT1545T @2:57 tripod as a series 2? lol. Funny. Doesn't seem trusty... :D

Thank you for the info...great video
This is series 1, not 2
You get what you pay for
Hence the price.
Way overpriced! I get a lot of other options for a third of the price.
Sure. You can tie 3 bamboos together and save even more.
