Both of my figured Mansell and Prost Ferrari’s, and it seems like this one too have their rear right wheel sticking out too far. Is this a common thing on all these Exoto Ferrari’s?

Fantastic car! One of my all time favorites. In fact, I found this video as I was looking for reference material because I am building the Tamiya 1/12 scale version as we speak! Can I make a suggestion? Maybe you should ask Santa for a tripod this year. I was getting a little seasick watching the vid. :)
About the source of the 79 semiauto gearbox its true. These things happened a lot in motorsport. the perception vs reality thing, its amazing. Many solution in motorsport were scrapped because drivers didn't like how they felt. Everything with active on its name usually it was hated by the drivers.
