    As a former travel influencer, she’s going to share her health struggles and what led her to hack herself back to health.

    3:57 - Is a vegan or vegetarian diet making you sick?
    5:30 - Why embracing FAT might be the missing key to unlocking optimal health in many diets
    14:00 - How understanding your or your partner’s menstrual cycle helps in achieving success, not just in health but in life as a whole
    14:30 - The surprising truths behind birth control pills (and their profound effects on your overall well-being)
    17:00 - Why a woman’s period is their superpower
    22:56 - The underlying cause behind the escalating prevalence of infertility issues in women and men
    25:00 - 3 foods Aggie Lal eliminated from her diet that revolutionized her health
    27:00 - Why counting calories can be cutting down on your progress
    33:00 - The method both Aggie Lal and I use to navigate eating out in restaurants
    38:00 - Aggie Lal asks me, “What was the most important thing I’ve changed my mind on in treating patients?”
    Aggie Lal, best-selling author, certified nutrition and health coach, podcast host, and TV personality boasts a substantial following of over 1.5 million on social media. Her influence spans diverse domains such as health, biohacking, personal development, entrepreneurship, and travel & lifestyle. Initially gaining recognition for documenting her passion for travel, Aggie later realized its impact on her well-being, leading her to explore biohacking - the scientific and holistic optimization of the body and mind. Her global bestseller, "Instatravel," recounts her remarkable journeys, while her second book, "Biohack like a Woman," uniquely delves into biohacking from a female perspective, offering valuable insights for optimizing health and well-being in routines tailored for women's bodies.

    I noticed Dr G didn't respond to Vegan vs. Vegetarian diets. So, I'll chime in. We can be healthy without eating meat, fish, fowl, or eggs. I became a vegetarian at age 18, I'm 73, with absolutely no health issues, no meds, no drugs, no type II diabetes, no liver issues, no microbiome issues, nothing but healthy by God's grace ♥️ 🙏 try it, you'll like it 😇

      Dennis Ward is Right. I’m 74 and held the Company (that I worked in till retirement more than two decades ago) Record for Not taking a single day of Sick Leave for more than a Quarter of a Century but I am neither a vegetarian nor a vegan but eat pretty much what I enjoy but in moderation.
      My Secret? Since more than 70% of my body is water and I assume that it is Clean Water filtered by my kidneys, I drink mostly Distilled Water to date.

    It's amazing how different bodies are. I can't eat avocadoes and turmeric (among many other things - wheat, soy, corn, cucumbers, tree nuts, any fruits besides dates and cherries, small seed containing veggies or fruits and others, but Dr. Gundry already excluded these for most people). But avocadoes? Those should be awesome, and yet, I immediately break out in a bad rashy acne if I have them. On the other hand, I find white potatoes, de-seeded and peeled tomatoes, and white rice perfectly fine in any quantities. It's so important to figure out what works for you, one product at a time.

    I like the restaurant advice. I often don't feel great after eating out and avoid it for the most part but it's nice to take part occasionally with family or friends. I also enjoy hearing stories of people listening to their bodies and getting healthy. It gives me hope that more people are getting it and maybe we're not all doomed in the U.S.

    Thanks Dr Gundry. Lal was a Very interesting guest. It was interesting to hear what veganism and over enthusiastic fasting did to her health. I often feel a little guilty for eating animal, and we should definitely eat less of that, but I agree that not eating any is not healthy. I also liked your 4 corner table analogy:E-eating,A-attitude,S-spirituality,E-exercise. Sounds like a well rounded lifestyle to me😀

    Aggie if Dr G had more time he would tell you to limit your red meat intake. I think he eats a half of a grass fed grass finish steak once every 3 months. The reason is that red meat causes the elevation of mTor which ages us quicker. He would probably recommend doing more shellfish and make sure your chicken is grass fed. But if the red meat is making you feel good for now I would keep doing what you are doing for a couple of years. You are still young and its not hurting you I wouldn't think.

    Leaves with olive oil.. where are the aminos coming from? or the Omega 3s? I lived in Europe for years and Italians eat an omnivore diet that is fresh and delicious. How did leaves and olive oil become the foundation for this recommendation? and why are they not speaking directly to her entire point of low protein intake ruining her health?

    • @aliciastanley5582
      @aliciastanley5582 3 месяца назад +1

      I don’t think he’s saying eat ONLY leaves & olive oil but eat that and OTHER VEGETABLES and move away from a lot of the grains in particular, flour based pastas and too much beans that have not been soaked and cooked enough to de- lectinize them. This comes from my knowledge of all the other videos Gundry has made and I’ve watched. I’ve probably seen about every video he has put out over the past three years so I’m familiar with what he thinks about these issues. I do Keto and he convinced me to eat ALOT of vegetables and a little low carb fruits in smaller amounts at a time in addition to some meat but also use non meat proteins to try to really decrease how much meat to eat- I’m diabetic. And as a 70 year old I think I need to eat a lot of both meat & non meat proteins to keep from sarcopenia and I am battling now with Creatinine to build muscle. This is essential for ME. People’s needs are different.

    To have a healthy life style one has to work had and cook your own meals. No point blaming vegan or vegetarian or keto or xyz.. whatever your diet, stop buying processed foods or reduce it. This lady simply switched from vegan to carnivore simply because she can’t do without certain comfort foods. I was always a bit skeptical about vegan diet, but vegetarians yes is the best option. Dr. Gundry himself advices in most of his videos to reduce or avoid meat and go for vegetables with healthy fat like olive oil. We in India take ghee, which is also excellent source of good fat.

    Dr Gundry. If cows eat grass (hope there are still some cows like that), and we eat cows, then (as you like to say) we also (indirectly) eat grass (ie, eat what they ate). Should we be like cows, and eat only grass and leave the cows alone? Or, should we also eat cows which graciously process grass for us?

    • @dennisward43
      @dennisward43 3 месяца назад +1

      Ever heard of evolution and the fact that cows have four stomach chambers in order to process grass, clover, hay, etc? Feeding cows awful grains are bad for them and one stomach chamber us.
