Good, helpful tips! Thanks for putting it out there, Lars 🙏 Your contribution to the shredding community makes a huge difference and is very much appreciated. Keep 'em rolling.
When I was an instructor I carried a diamond stone with me every day. I used it on my at the start with new clients almost every time unless their gear was new. Even though I was pretty good at knowing where the rocks were and avoiding them I kept my own edges in great condition by just using it every time I got a burr.
Hey Lars, just discovered your channel. Super helpful and informative - thanks so much for all your help! I wanted to ask your thoughts on using infrared lamps for applying wax to a board?
Hi Lars, I’m being a bit picky here but last weekend we were in Solden for a couple of days, the surface was blue ice in places and lots of stones in others. You can imagine the result… I’ve taken out the majority of the case hardened burrs and nicks on the edges of the boards but despite the edges being sharp enough to shave nail filings (or wood - saves my nails) I can still see that the edges are not perfect. If I run the tip of my nail along the edge I can feel it catch ever so slightly (it’s not a burr just tiny indentations along the edge. Do I need the edges to be perfectly smooth (in real life as opposed to a perfect world) I’m just concerned that making them perfectly smooth will require taking off a lot of material (relatively) Thanks!
@@frozenwastz111 you got it!! It is what it is, and we’re all not racing. Fixing it perfectly would require losing a lot of edge. I think you’re fine 🤙
It's a Shorty from 2022. The last year that the model came with a structure. Since it's predominantly meant to be a pow board, Stranda aren't doing structure on those anymore. In cold snow there's no real benefit to a structure from what I understand... Cheater and Pipeliner still have it.

Never done that. But heard great things about it. Wouldn’t know why that could be a bad idea.

The structure on your Pipeliner (yes?) looks awesome!!!! 🏂🏔️🌎

the wax also looks so well saturated, the gods of snowboarding would punish him that if he does a base grind 😂
