Got to see them live once and one thing that shows up is both happiness and that there is very much a sibling rivalry. They are happily pushing each other along the path of shamisen and challenging, by example, the other to play even better. Each has subtle strong and weak points and they are acutely aware of it.
You can hear the love for playing they have in every "Hey!" and see it in every smile. They clearly dedicated a lot of time to be that good, and you can really hear the pride and excitement in every note.
fun fact its "HEI" not "HEY" lol just wanted to say! also for a shamisen player they must know this as its required so because its apart of its tradition!
Oh that explains a lot. I always felt like the anime sounds so similar to the way the Yoshida Brothers plays. Edit: I even compared it next to each other and felt that way
Hey hey hey Hidan! How is everything back at HQ huh? I wouldn't know because the time skip hasn't occured yet regarding this photo haha! But yeah it's pretty awesome.
Check out “Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds Of Life” it is very good too! It’s about a delinquent who joins a Koto club. Really good. It’ll get ya in the feels.
Sitting down with this playing in my house in Belfast,, northern Ireland and thanks to utube for the awesome stuff people can post,, big respect to the guys playing,☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
I like Yoshida Kyōdai and japanese traditional music and I'm so glad more people are coming here thanks to mashiro no oto. Maybe I should watch it too.
This song is SO ROCK 'N ROLL. Way to be ahead of the curve, Japan! When these guys are jamming in those fast intertwining parts I can just hear it in the back of my mind being played with lead/rhythm electric guitars. This is an incredibly awesome song, the shamisen sound amazing, and they're just having *so much fun*!! Great video.
I had the honour to see them live in an event organised by the ambassador to Ireland. I was wowed with every song. I hope you all have the opportunity to hear them live.
Great skilled musicians. Absolutely loved their performance. I wish I had an ounce of their talent. Great to see their pride and happiness while playing. Thanks for the great video!
Because of Mashiro no Oto, I've found about Shamisen. I was hooked and immersed myself on how beautiful the sound it produce, it always give me goosebumps whenever I hear its sound.
I've been coming back to this video every now and then for like 5 years now, I don't know why. There's just something about two dudes shredding a Shamisen that's worth multiple revisits
That. Was. INCREDIBLE! What a happy and enthusiastic pair of brothers they were. I loved how excited they looked and the joy on their faces was wonderful to see. God bless them both and their loved ones.
The best part of this is, that they actualy seem to enjoy playing their shamisen in front of all these people. It gives this scene a really heartfelt atmosphere. :)

I though what they're saying in a shamisen anime is just for show, where you feel something when they play. I'm suffering from mental illness, and the way they play really does make me feel free from what im going through right now.
I absolutely adore how they are intoxicated by their own play, for this is devotion, this is passion, may it never wane. P.S. Came here after watching first and second episodes of "Mashiro no Oto" and learned about this fantastically sounding instrument and then a little about other traditional japanese musical instruments like biwa nad koto.

especially the brother on (our) left.
Your nick made me smile. Cheers.
Thanks, mate.
everything made with happiness is better, like the old football players
I mean it just produces such a nice sound

I wish they shout HEI in the album version... It gives even more power to the melody

Came here because of the anime “Those Snow White Notes”. These guys do the music for the anime.
same
The music in the anime is actually done by these guys in this video?
Can't for the next episode of the anime.
So that's the reason why the music sounds familiar lol
Oh that explains a lot. I always felt like the anime sounds so similar to the way the Yoshida Brothers plays.
Edit: I even compared it next to each other and felt that way
And not “Wii would like to play”?
What's even cooler is the fact that it's exactly Yoshida brothers who are supervising all shamisen stuff in Mashiro no Oto
Really? That's so cool! I just finished watching it and still so high about it
dude i need to watch that anime at some point
Eu sempre gostei desse instrumento mas ver esse anime me fez buscar mais afundo sobre, me despertou um interesse imenso
spent all thier budget to n yoshida brothers. nothing left dor director and animation 😂
There's actually a j-vlogger on RUclips who is the apprentice of one of the yoshida brothers

kinda incredible cause normally this instrument sounds about as sophisticated as those guitars you made with elastic bands around your lunchbox
🤣 bruh you was here?
My mom is Japanese growing up she would play cassette tapes of shamisen music 🎵 I adore these guys so talented
Their synchronization and overall skill is off the friggin charts.. Man I can watch this over and over and still be absolutely baffled!
Never even knew what the shamisen was until i watched an Anime "Those snow white notes" this truly has opened up a new level of relaxing music for me.
