Nothing ends a rivalry like standing point blank from your opponent and shooting at each other until one of you is dead. I think more problems can be solved this way.

Soundwave was always my favorite. That voice, his cassettes, and his loyalty and faithfulness was always inspiring to me as a kid. Soundwave's name was the only one Megatron/Galvatron cried out when he was destroyed. Tells you something.
Who was it that thought to carry Megatron's dying body onto the spacetrain after the mortal fight with Optimus Prime? Soundwave.

We saw during therapy that parts of Megatron are still in there. He built a gun, something he used to turn in to. Soundwave was his most loyal follower, so the fact he cared means that much more because thats a connection to his past self.
Megatron and Soundwave were besties throughout season 1,and Galverton is basically Megatron on steroids with anger issues. Galverton also showed compassion for Soundwave in that screwy episode Carnage in C minor.
I honestly thought this was the original dub. This was so well done that you couldn't even tell this is a FAN dub! Stellar work!

I kinda prefer the other redub for this part (I forgot which one it was). The scream was replaced with the line "Integrity...dropping..." which fits Soundwave better imo.

Stevie P83 NP man! I’ve seen a lot of others come close to the Soundwave voice but this I’d argue this is the closest we’ve gotten. What software did you use to recreate this? It sounds like something out of Reaper.
@@airborne_productions2485 thank you I really appreciate that. So I use Adobe Audition and I use a vocoder and a keyboard to get the "key changes" of the voice

It's amazing what a redub with show-accurate vocals, musical score, and sound effects can do to elevate an otherwise 'me' continuation of the original show!

Instead of sounding like some generic cylon voice or something similar to that you managed to get it right? Did you use a particular vocoder and did you do the inspector gadget, Dr Claw impression beforehand?

This is better than the original Japanese version. Blaster can use a little bit of work.

This is the Japanese version. It's just dubbed in English with the original Transformers voices.

The G1 cartoon music makes this scene way better. This is basically why i think Hasbro and Sunbow should have imported the Headmasters anime and used the footage to create additional G1 Season 4 episodes.

Wait, his name's not Blaster, it's "Billy." Lmao! Except for when Blaster called Hot Rod, "Rodimus," this is fantastic! I assumed that Blaster ruptured Soundwave's Energon Cube generator and when it detonated, it blew up his laser core (spark chamber). That's my in universe explanation for his random explosive death, haha.
It certainly shows how little dialogue there was in Headmasters, in comparison to the shows before it, so I appreciate all the added lines. Again, absolutely amazing work! =P

😂😂 I have the new zealand dub version originally before I got the Japanese sub titled version and it made me want to pull my hair out every time I heard them call blaster “billy”. Good thing they fix it after he was remade but called him blaster instead of twin cast. Anyways I still had them calling spike “sparkle”. I still hear it to this day.....

Actually, with modern technology, they could redo the dub for the entire cast. Make it indistinguishable from the original. As long as you have the original files and enough sound of it. With Welker and Cullen still alive they could do a lot already without having to reuse. But for Nimoy for example they'd have to use tech.

the voices sound great, but i can't help but miss the Headmasters soundtrack and the mecha anime sound effects - but personal preference aside, pretty good job!

G1 was my childhood awesome work on this. You captured that 80s style and presentation flawlessly. Great imagination and adaptation. :)

I really think the US versions of transformers had less fighting n the only death was of Optimus Prime. This would’ve been great to see
It's certainly ten times better than that joke of a Hong Kong studio under the name of Omni Productions who did some bad dubbing for Transformers. Not to mention wrong names for them.

its from the japanese headmaster line, this wasnt produced by Hasbro and such, we got the whole rebirth of prime stuff, but there s alots of japanese stuff we never seen that was drawn by the same artists as S1-S4 of G1.

It was taken from the movie. There is a part where pincer claws are attacking hot rod and Cup and this is the sound used for those claws

So Roddy just accepts Blaster’s death while Soundwave’s boys collect his head and make him a new body? Come on, Rodimus! And then Soundwave, whose new body looks identical to his old one, essentially steals Blaster’s name by renaming himself to Soundblaster.

Headmasters is not a great series (and I'd say worse than vanilla G1) but I'd say that with the proper sounds and voice acting like this it can be tolerable, and you did a good job!

@@stephenparkes I did not get far with it tbh, i had wrote a script, but the editing kinda stopped, mostly because i dont have the needed sound library to pull from (i need to get the rest of Sound Idea's stuff tbh) i may give it another shot, taking inspiration from your ver.
Btw if you can, i'd love to know about your carrier tone that you used, grim's isnt as close as yours turned out tbh, i'd love it if i could get access to it.

It's interesting you chose to cut the cassette's dialog, but it actually ends up feeling more like the english half of g1 for it. Especially since all the flying lil buddies just squack/scree in the EN ver.

Renaming him Soundblaster was a bit ridiculous though unless it was supposed to be a last dig at his rival by taking his name - a bit like how the Predacon Divebomb took that name from Swoop in the G1 (UK) comics.

I wish there was a complete redub of the entire series like this. I HATED the original dub an still cant bring myself to watch it to this day because of the terrible dubbing.
Try PrimeProductionsULTD channel - they are doing fantastic work in redubbing the entire Headmaster series, it’s slow work but what they’ve done so far is excellent.

it's from the Japanese Headmaster series, not sure which episode exactly, but it's one of the early ones I think.
Sound wave and blaster were my 2 favourite communication officers 👍🏻💯 it would have been cooler to them using their "music" electronics type powers like in the first generation. I forget the episode at the moment...the used their speakers and vibrations to knock each other out..lol..I love the transformers,since I was an 80s kid.👍🏻 Thanks for this upload I haven't seen it in a long time. Awesome edit too...I wouldn't have known with the English dub.. perfectly done mate.
