It shouldn't be as addictive as it is. Same quest over and over exploring the same map..maps now. But I can't stop playing it. Something about how the dinos look and move, the good graphics with screenshot potential locations and the never know what's around the next tree just doesn't get old. Once you die about 20 times you learn how to hide, fight and not die..as much. Every death is a lesson so don't give up.
I think it takes a lot longer then 8 hours to grow a Dino to a full adult . I think that’s the biggest problem and the thing that’s holding the game back. Personally I think they need to cut the time down to like 20 quests per stage right now it’s 50 which is freaking insane.The way it is set up now most , I guarantee there’s probably loads of people out there that will never reach adult or if they do they’ll just grow one and move on from the game .
Yeah it took me like 4 days and I was grinding pretty hard....plus getting eaten ALOT 🤬😫
This is my second day playing and I’ve only gotten to adolescence. I put in maybe 8 hours today alone so Ik for a fact that number is not close to true. Mainly cuz players love killing juveniles for fun even if they don’t eat meat. (Yes Herbos rush me n kill me regardless) and I made a herbivore and it’s the same deal; do a quest, get killed, do a quest get killed.
Yeah official severs will do that but other servers won't be like that and you grow faster.
Takes me 4-8 hours to get a dino do adult solo, u just gotta know the map
I think they need to add passive growth rather than more growth per quest. That way you can still grow if you were just wanting to sit and hang out with friends and not quest.
Personally, I would recommend new players avoid official servers.
So I’d have rated the game differently for official servers vs community servers.
Really sucks if you’re playing as something slow on official and get killed on sight. You end up losing I think like 6 quests worth of progress, which can be a while to farm again.
At least on community servers, passive growth feels more realistic to me. You grow basically by surviving.
But I’m more of a casual player and enjoy realism more than the free for all dog eat dog style world on official servers
Yea.. I just got the game two days ago. I used to play ark n got it when it was in game preview so I have faith in this game. The community? Not so much. I’ve met maybe 5 chill players, everyone else has made it difficult for me to grow past juvenile. A player would camp outside of cave n kill you as you spawn then call you trash in chat or say how fun it is to eat you. Meanwhile your hour n a half of grinding exp gets regressed to nothing so some random person can get some laughs.

This game has a lot of potential they just need to add more content and it will be 10/10 for sure
Also one thing they really need to fix is the dbuff when your near hc for too long yes I know it’s to stop campers but the Dbuff range is too far just give us spawn protection and that’s it LBM etc isn’t the same anymore

@@BennyLFC_ That debuff is to stop extremely toxic players who camp them to kill players.
It's a prevention of those types of players.

Some ideas i think the game could have is Of course Ai dinos, Maybe a stronger version of certain dinos will appear and you can fight it for marks and growth, Or just packs of dinos roam around and do things.
Weather type things? Like:
Heat waves- You’d have to stay near water, Find shade etc or you’ll be dehydrated very fast.
Maybe flooding- After a good bit of rain areas can he flooded so sarcos, Kai, Etc can get dinos easier that are stuck in water.
Idk, Maybe others have better ways these could work?
Agreed! Those weather events would also help other players run into other players by funneling them through certain areas of the maps (away from storms, towards the water, etc.). AI dinos would be great as long as they are 'smart'. Lastly, I'd really like to see some sort of grab mechanic for sarcos (at least on small dinos).
@@MichaelOConnor14yes the grab mechanic should only really work on small dinos because it wouldn't really make sense for a sarco to be able to grab a larger dino
Yeah, they can even talk with Sonar Studios (Creatures of Sonaria) to do some partnership... I mean, even Sonaria being a Roblox's game, still have more environment than PoT
I have hope that the devs will add new content and fix the issues
AI for single player
New exciting abilities for each dino
Buffs (looking at the dasp) and nerfs
And of course fixing questing and growth
I'm willing to stick with this game it has so much potential
I’d love to see some power attacks added to Dino’s that we know had strong bite forces that aren’t just apex
I’d like them to remove the long cooldown they added to the ducks claw. Way too long tbh
In my opinion(only my opinion dont jump me for it)
1.Nesting(Hopefully by breeding 2 subspecies EX:a speed and defense....baby inherits the positive traits idk. Dino stat mutations maybe?
2.Scent tracking for Carnivores
3.Dinosaur AI
4.More dinosaur abilities
5.Certain dinos need buffs(EX:Allosaurus,Amargasaur,Dasp to name a few).
6.More Playables

I'm a dino nerd so I give Path of Titans a 8/10 I really enjoy it with friends
Heck to the no with scent tracking, that would only make KOS worse, specially for babies. Also, I'm not so sure about nesting, I don't think it will be as engaging as it needs to be to keep people playing.
Well Nesting and Ai dinosaurs are a planned thing for PoT. :)
They used to already have Ai testing in the past you could watch.
They took that off as they want to optimize the game so when they do put in Ai dinosaurs it won't lag the game and ruin the experience for players.
The only things i dont like about this game are people mixpacking and playing unfairly and that there is no minimum passive growth on official servers
I mean if you don't like the mix packing you can play comunity servers with rules

Then don't play on official. Lol. Official servers are stressful garbage. Literally you quest for hours only to grow a tiny amount after completing each quest and you get a really small amount of mark points. And if you get killed by another dino it sets you back possibly hours worth of growth and even removes an amount of your mark points. Official is not worth playing.
Play on Community Servers with passive growth and an increase in the amount of mark points per quest completed.

Super packs ruin player interaction completely, specially when they are mixed. If there are 10 rexes grouped up there's simply nothing you can do about it, never mind if they're also grouping with EOtrikes. This effectively renders the current weight and grouping system useless.
We need greater quest diversity with better quests that actually feel engaging, picking up acorns for 8 hours straight isn't sustainable for the player base in the long run, and I'm willing to bet that this aspect of the game is surely what makes it bleed the most players. Also, the devs aren't doing anything about it, If anything, they are doubling down on this terrible questing system by ignoring the player base and refusing to add passive growth or bumping up the amount of XP you get from questing. There's a QOL change that's only a single line of code long and that can help tremendously with this issue, just double all EXP gain from all sources, and right then and there they would've reduced the amount it takes to fully grow a dino in half.
Some dinosaurs are in dire need of a revamp, at least on the mechanics and abilities department, you have some of them running around with only a tail swipe, a bite and two hide options. This is terrible for build diversity, making some dinos play exactly like others with the only major difference being their stats.
And much more... The game still has a long way to go.
An interesting thing they could take from games like Death Stranding is the features such as helping each other to do things and quests, or when people walk a path for long enough, it becomes a footpath that everyone can see.
A couple of things that I have my own personal assumptions or take on about this game are the single-player mode to me is meant for map exploration getting used to your dinosaur and just basically being able to do things on your own without being hassled by anyone. If you're trying to grow and be competitive then you're playing on a multiplayer map anyway. Touching base on the lack of skins I feel like there are a larger number of possibilities with skins considering you can mix and match their colors fairly freely. And the entire issue of there being a lack of skins is kind of a moot point when there is a large community of people willing to mod in any skin you can dream of. So looking at the game as a whole would be more suiting in my opinion. The fact that the devs support modding so heavily really speaks a lot about the company as a whole. It gives the game a lot of lasting power. I would say it's definitely worth it.
I think the quests feel more like a place holder. Until they get nesting or events in what else you gonna do?
The questing is a decent idea BUT it is just the worst quests of MMOs with less character.
I think a mix of questing and passive growth is the best route, you can grow passively if you want to but speed it up by doing quests to get boosts. Eventually tie in skins and ability unlocks to some quests or achievements.
The problem its trying to solve is the Isle's habit of making you hide in bushes for hours to grow. Which was both boring and made the world boring. So I appreciate the active drive you have in leveling. Its just clearly not perfect now...
The quest make sense if you forget you playing a game. The quest are there to make the world look more alive.... My dog walks around picking all kinds of stuff up. He is grown now lol
The only things I want to fix about the game are simple. Very super small passive growth that gets boosted a little when you eat and drink. Just makes sense.
Then to not get confused in multiplayer. NOT ai dinos, but small Ai mammals and lizards you can catch without having to find a burrow (but still keep burrows)
Lastly for questing, they could easily add more things like (stealing eggs from nests) (finding feathers to make a nest) or even (mark territory) you go around to 4 or 5 locations in the area and scratch trees or something. There's tons of potential.

They really need to add AI controlled dinosaurs. To make it feel less empty. That alone would elevate the fun level to a different level. And maybe not just have the ones they already have in the game just be in burrows. Have them running around in the world.
Lastly I think they could try and break the water sources into sections. That big lake should for example be broken up so that if you're on the south shore that it doesn't affect it all the way at the north shore. But to be honest I'm not sure what the water quality really adds to the game?
For me is HUGE plus, that the dinosaurs I bought on my android version I have on PC too, so I can start playing on pc, then shut it down, and continue on android phone (I prefer with gamepad). I don't know if it works on consoles too, but on android is the game the same as on PC (thanks to Unreal Engine 5 it needs a realy good HW, but it is the first game where I see the same graphics on android like on PC), it is one of the things why I am buying dino packs, the other side is, that by buying the dino packs I am supporting the developers.
They need to focus more on the core gameplay than releasing so much Dinos. It’s exactly why a lot of things feel unfinished. They think people would be happy if there’s more playable🤦♂️ nah I rather them work on having a better ai or when my Dino is resting and it’s tail doesn’t clip thru rocks or when I’m swimming and the water has ripples. Just small details like that matter more than releasing repetitive Dino’s that damn near has the same bite, jump,rest and walk animations.
I started playing at launch. it has improved a great deal since those days. Questing needs more development but the devs know this and are working on improvements. Combat is a bit rough also. I can never tell when my hits are landing. I dont mind the grind, there are other games out there that are much more of a grind! I wish the game had a matchmaking system. You have to use general chat to find a questing partner which kind of sucks. The map is a mixed bag. Panjura is a Beautiful open world which I think is based on the Pacific North West during the Cretaceous period. However, when you open the map window you are not given any region location labels of any kind, nor can you make marks or notes of any kind. I dont understand why this map has so many cliffs and rock walls! They can be real annoying and falling results in high damage. Game is much better than it was at launch but still needs work, however I am having fun which is the main idea after all.
It would be awesome if they added passive growth and made it so the quests just boost you to grow faster. And there are actually no more mobile downloads available right now
I'd agree with your score but for theThallaso which is a game changer. Great fun to play. Even makes quests tolerable. 8 out of 10.

I think... 100 players are enough for 1 server. I'm rly happy to see no one while doing these rly, long taking quests for growing up.
Also, I don't like it that u can not waystone herbis as a carni (or carnis as an herbi). Group... Okay... but why not waystone? Yeah. U could waystone to kill, but what's with chillin' together doing their own quests as friends? (We needed to across the whole map to reach each other)
Also, big big point. The quests. If u don't have any friends online or playing that game... u need to ask random players to help u... Otherwise, u need days to grow up... Cause u will definitely get killed sometimes. The quests should be more interesting than just collect or bring something... Also, the quest to kill is not rly something special...
In my opinion Also some dinosaurs should be nerved or should get an upgrade. U can literally see at the start which dinos are strong and weak. As a weak dino, u NEED to have some friends around, or u are just playing to be food for other dinosaurs.
It is not rly much fun to play alone tbh. Als, not as an adult Dino. Cause it doesn't rly matter what kind of dinosaur u play. A group could kill u instantly. If u think, as a trex, u should be save... Hahaha... no. Ur not. Also, a little group of megs could kill u.
As a baby, u need to be very careful ( it took a way longer to grow up bc u have to run away often or hide...) or u need luck with friendly players. Some of them will say "awww a baby! Let me help u!" And some will say "oh what a fool, let's kill em"
Also not funnzy... Some players kill u when u get out of your homecave (a safe spot where u can put on and off abilities)
They wait for u to get out (they will have a debuff), but it doesn't matter when u are a baby and outside waiting 2 allos for u. Got killed so many times... I can't count, and I'm playing that game now for 1 or 2 weeks. I also deleted some dinos bc I lost so much xp as a baby or a teenager...
I learned that u can trust nobody. Even if it's the same species or same group. (Next point) U can try! It could be a wholesome person! But beware.
Sadly, u also get damage from the same group members. If u want to kill someone, u could just leave the group and attack after.
Also sad that u can not use ur dinos on the other map. U have to start a new dinosaur if u want to explore the map. (I know it's new and should be fixed soon)
I would like to have some AI players on the map when the server has reached 50 players. (not much) Cause they would not kill u instantly and would also be food.
As an herbi, it would be nice to have more options to eat. Me and some friends die sometimes of starving. But I also think we walked by some berrys but didn't recognise it bc they don't look very, very different from normal bushes sometimes.
Could be addet that the dead bodies or berrys have other textures. Like for dead bodies... more dinos and for the berrys more colourful berrys or other bushes.
Also, I would love to have more dinosaurs. But I think that will happen in the future.
More functionality for being female or male. I mean, the fact that the colours are different is nice and realistic but could be more added.
Also, an option for voice chat would be nice cause often players don't look at the chat. It don't have to be a permanent voice chat, but in near distance or sth in that way would be nice. (Had to ask most players to hop on Discord to talk for better communication)
What I like:
It is fun to play as a dinosaur.
Nice community servers.
Sometimes nice player who will help u doing your quests and let u own the full xp. (I've met 2 wholesome people on this game, and we're now in good contact)
Some nice and interesting abilities. I would love to grow up every dino species for once to see what they actually can do.
Report option for bugs and mean people. That has to mean that the game developers want to do their best that u can play. (One of my friends got stuck between a rock and a tree... he had to die) ((also a friend got stuck underwater and drowned))
It's really funny with friends to play. You can just walk down the hills and play a dinosaur rp or try to challenge your friends... doing fights together or just annoying your friends with little bites...
I like the physics. Love to play with tails around.
The fact that water can become dirty.
The little things in that game are very beautiful. Also, the footsteps u left behind or the scars that stay on the dinosaur for a time when u had a hard fight.
It is nice that the game has a lot of mixed players and players from other countries.
Own group chat that u don't have to look in the main chat where everyone can write.
Big map.
Waystones and homecaves.
Interesting dinosaur species.
And I rly rly love the sounds u can do. (Would ne nice if u could see what the sound means from other dinosaurs.) ((With time u remember what a player wants from u but if u see a dinosaur for the first time... it's complicated))
Nice that u spawn on a random spot after dying. It's also annoying, but it's a way to dodge spawn killing.
It's nice to see how u get your coloured skin slowly while growing up.
It's a nice feeling to reach an adult dinosaur. (Can be hard work)
U can play that game for hours. (Quests annoying, yes, but u have a lot of dinos to explore)
I would give the game a 6-7/10, but it could be a 10/10 in time! I will still play that game for the future, and I'm looking forward to what it will bring.

They need to remove the growth quests and just make it the isle growth ( eat and drink more often to speed up growth)
I think path of titans is a solid game, but should they have charged money for the experience from a consumer perspective I don’t think so. In my opinion Path Of Titan has yet to develop a flow state when it comes to additional new content. They seem to leave people disappointed more than the contrary. Pynco and Pachy release were both underwhelming and controversial. When Kaiwhikea and Thasslo release the feedback was a lot more positive but, left players still disappointed with how underwhelming they feel. The one thing you can’t deny is the great reception Gondwa has received from it’s core audience. Questing could use a overhaul to be more invigorating for players to indulge in. Draconia does a better job at it than Pot imo. It’s the best dinosaur survival simulator on the market currently and I think it deserves that title, but it could be so much better than it is currently.
about costumized skin, there a pattern change too. have you ever changed your dino skin pattern other than skin color ?? sometime people forget change pattern skin...
Do you think you could make, or direct me to, a video on improving fighting as a Kai. I find them kinda dumbly when fighting.
Dead ass, the devs would make hella money if they put in buyable skins. I feel if they sold unique and colorful skins people like myself would definitely pump in a few bucks to get said skin. Also please for the love of god put in passive growth, it doesn’t even have to be good. Like 1second of growth every five minutes, or 30 seconds of growth every 10 minutes. Literally anything to make growing up more realistic.
I just stumbled across this and I really want to try it out kinda reminds me of Man eater it looks like a relaxing game where you can turn your mind off and just wonder around.
I think the game is 6.7/10. Here is why. (All based on my personal opinion)
1. Questing
Questing takes away the feeling of a dinosaur SURVIVAL game. And you do it to earn marks to GAIN abilities which is odd for something dinosaur survival based. However, this leads to my next issue.
2. Marks
Marks also take away the experience of a " survival " game. Paying to use skins or abilities not only takes away from the aspect, but the fact it costs so much is a pain in the ass.
3. Variety
This game lacks the variety of even more UNIQUE dinosaurs, flying reptiles, and aquatics. And even possible new AI variety. They can introduce Squalicorax or Onchopristis for aquatic AI. Or even Ischyrhiza. And flyers such as Dsungaripterus, Ornithocheirus, Pteranodon, or even Ceradactylus. And predators like Megalosaurus, Torvosaurus, Saurophaganax, Albertosaurus, or even Majungasaurus. And aquatics like Kronosaurus, Styxosaurus, Attenborosaurus, and much more. There are a variety of unique species to add in Path of Titans which are barley mentioned and need the spotlight into more popularity.
So in conclusion, the game has much more potential. They may need QUANTITY, but QUALITY comes first. You can't add the decorations without the right tree. But the game is showing potential with updating swimming mechanics, ete.
I think that they shoukd scale growth by size of creature given that it doesnt take as many years for something like a deinonychus to reach adulthood vs a red which would take at least 18 to 20IRL so caking growth rate off size would be a healthy option and yes they definitly need to improve questing and add AI once thry do that holy crap this game will be a beast
It was my favourite game released on playstation last year but now I can't log onto any community servers as it says I don't have enough space for mods despite the fact I have 600gb spare 🤷

The huge lake should be split into at least 5 regions of pollution(N,S,E,W,Center), + maybe the round minilake as 6th.
I think if they can't work on the quests soon they should at least make the quests more rewarding like some of the unofficial servers do.
I am a console player and the more videos I see the more I want it so I’m excited to get it probably gonna get it for Christmas and out of all the videos I’ve seen it’s cool but I do have to say it does look a little boring just watching. I know in your last video of is it worth it you did say you thought it was boring for watching it but when you got it and played it was really fun which I can see that so I’m just really excited to play as my favorite Dino which is spino 😁
Leave it 100/150 players but drop in a healthy amount of AI to fill the map and make things more exciting and less just kill eachother on sight since food would be all around as well as the dangers of real players and ai
In this game (official servers) players will see you just started and hunt you down. If you ask them not to they’ll say “it’s a pvp game, if you can’t fight go play single player”. Reminded me of how people talked in sea of thieves as if their is only pvp and no exploration or quests to do, only fighting (for no reward). I tried switching to herbivore in hopes I’d find a group to help me.. nope.. get eaten on my second quest as a herbi and the message I was sent was “sorry I’m hungry” as if free food isn’t highlighted when you get hungry and it counts as a quest. As long as players are running around as adult dinos bored with nothing to do the game will be hell for new players.
I mean, it's on console, and I like dinosaurs, so there isn't much of an option to me, as I can't afford a PC. As far as comparisons, the Isle gives off more Jurassic park vibes, where as POT doesn't at all. I don't mind that though, but the quests do kinda break immersion. Some passive growth on the official servers would benefit, I think that there shouldn't be as many cliffs. It makes the map feel kind of like a city, you can't really just go anywhere, you have to follow paths, you know? Could be that I'm just new to it still.
I think singleplayer should have AI dinosaurs and should be like a realism mode where you can act like a dinosaur without quests and such
you had me at dinosaur 😂 if I see it on sale on the PlayStation store I might give it a go so hopefully by now it's had improvements

Australian Community servers would be nice having to play on US servers while trying to pvp makes it almost impossible.
I have been thinking on getting the game for for a LONG LONG LONG TIME
Id be down to buy this but they need to add more life. Birds flying, roaming dinos, carcasses. Similar to how "Ancestors: a humankind odyssey" did it!
Overall I'm happy that the problems with the game are more related to content or simple things that should be fixed for the final version, in the QA it says their AI has not met their standards yet and I'm ok with that. So the issues are more about the game being still in development more than the core game itself so I will just wait for the final game to be released or the major problems being solved

sure you cant play the game in singleplayer but you dont have to be an admin to use commands in singleplayer but thats about all its good for, testing or looking at dino stats and getting a feel for them however i do hope path of titans makes it more clear cause /addmarks commands are the best for lookin at skins or dino abilities without questing in a lone world when you really shouldn't need too.
edit: if anyone wants to use commands in singleplayer just do /help in the game chat it gives you a list of them and what they do if anyone doesnt know.

Remove the quest or don’t lock growth behind it and the games a 10 out of 10 for me
I feel like they need to stop being so limited, like yea everyone loves Dinosaurs but some people like other prehistoric creatures who are not dinosaurs such as mammoths and megatheriums or sabertooths to dire bears or dire wolves, and mix packing is dumb minus well let carnis and herbs group at this point, big lack of realism and I feel like making a herbivore that can eat meat(patchy) is cool but it’s not truly omnivore because we have to switch metabolism instead of there being an actually omnivore metabolism. Ano needs a big nerf, people be like “WaLk AwAy” like yea walk away from something hogging a quest area killing anything on purpose because it knows it can. Buff pycno.

The community servers don't run at all for me its broken
How can they even consider bumping the playable server count to 200 when people already rubber band in combat with 100... the combat can sometimes be so unplayable.
If the guy you are fighting has a ping of 200+ it's basically better just to walk away from the fight

The complaints I have with the game is no matter the server it always turns into nothing by pvp. I was hoping for more survival simulation with people kinda role playing but instead it's herbivores attacking everyone,predators attacking everyone, and mix packs attacking everyone. Worse part is when you get a invite and 9 times out of 10 its used to bait you in so they can kill you. Not to mention players camping the spawn areas to kill babies.
5:56 I mean, if Slither io can create a single-player with ai and a multiplayer with users only, then I guess a big game like this can too.
Ive had thought about this but i dont like the growth system cuz im whaiting for its roblox version cuz it dosent have any of the flaws in this game

I think it needs a graphics upgrade. I know roblox games like era of terror that look the same
I wish they would let you zoom out more. Bought the game but refunded because the camera angle is very uncomfortable for me.
It a 9/10 for just needs a few more things to make it a 10
Gondwa kinda sucks water is always bad cuz there not much lakes and salt water is bad it’s hard to find food if your a big carni so you end up dead and most players who die on gondwa other than geting killed by a player is becouse the could not get to good water in time
I just got this game coming from playing the isle. The enviornments are great, the game is well optimized no lad as compared to the isle, the size of the maps are nice. I do hate the quests they are repetitive and i hate that time does not grow your dino. I mean come on.
Should go by food and time for growth.

I hate the stamina drop off at adult age, thats my biggest disapointment
Yeah, they should make a new species of dino but it can only be used as an AI.
Its so weird they attempted to do some realism like water quality but then have you search for twigs and grass for 8 hours to grow

Honestly players would still try to attack other players, that’s the nature of a gamer to terrorize another player I would like to see A.I but they are stronger and have there own A.I specific skins
It is a solite 10 why play single player go to community servers and play there jou have passive grow and encounter lots op other players so enouch food end pvp just pick the right server

game obviously needs pve, however the games needs more endgame content maybe like some bosses that unlock evolution states once you kill them
I bought the game when gondwa dropped, being a very bitter ex Isle player and I must say....It was really disappointing. I gave it a very fair shot for 2 days more than 10 hours and I must say I really dont want to play it ever again...didn't imagine picking mushrooms would be my gameplay loop for a dinosaur game
I'd like to see more people on one server at a time, i mean max is now 100, 150 would be perfect. Like yesterday, i had 90 people playing, but i saw only 5 other players even tho i was moving alot.
Also, if they did something to prevent mixpacking, the game would be perfect for me
I played The Isle earlier, but they failed to finish the game. They've been developing it many many years but nothing has happened
Ive been playing for 2-3 days and its been the worst experience, on the official servers every single person just kills me on sight and the quests are honestly the most boring game loop
Like im a guy who would pay 100 euros for a game like this BUT the mood killer for me is the fact there is literally no AI dinos. Im not a multiplayer guy, but i'd love to play this solo with a dino population comparable to ARK Survival Evolved population. Maybe little less.
Game pass would be perfect for this game bc game pass=more players. It will fill the game up
Tried this for the first time with a friend yesterday and I just don't understand the appeal. It just feels like a mmo sidequest simulator and if you decide to PVP and lose, you have to do fetch quests for hours all over again depending on the dino you choose.
Spent hours playing this game and starved to death as a herbivore because there was such a lack of food
The pc version is great
So worth it to play it but I'm in mobile so it's free hehe
Personally I love this game, I hope they add on as much content as greedy Rockstar Games developers! 😆
