Great video. The Sky Hook will come in handy for me and my other ham radio friends in positioning antennas (I know that technically, it should be antennae, but trying not to be pretentious) by using a drone w/Sky Hook to drop a light line over the tops of trees and then using that line to pull up a temporary antenna.

I’m a HAM as well. Antennae is the original correct plural of antenna. However, in opinion due to a puss poor educational system, antennas is now accepted as the correct plural for antennae that are not sensory protrusions from the anamalia kingdom. Those are. Is antennae while our antennae are reduced to improper English because of said educational system.
Also, you can 3D print a number of drone attachments to do this with many being much better aligned with the aircraft center of balance.

Back in the 90s when I was in the Marines, we used to send the newbies down to the flight line to retrieve a sky hook, which didn't exist. I guess now we can't play that prank anymore. Great video.
ken one thing ive learnt from rc flying is dont push ya luck these aircraft do have useby dates but then the guys said to me get over it that made me learn

DON'T Sky Hook me, Ken! I can't afford a Phantom or Mavic - all I have is a cheap Hubsan H501s and I can't control the lights. Well, anyway, you have encouraged me to do aerial photography as a hobby (even with the Hubsan) and given me good attractions to visit! You guys keep up the good, funny stuff Luv your channel!

Hi Ken, I just use a hooked bit of metal to drop my parachutes, when you fly forwards the parachute stays on and when you kick the drone into reverse the parachute falls. Its simple , light , and works. By the way I love your videos . I fly a used Mavic Pro.

Well what i see here is a solution looking for a problem. I do appreciate the technology leap of this product over the earlier competition but am scratching my head as to what the heck I could do with it for the price of $200. I believe other videos have established the lifting capacity of the P4 series as just under two pounds and that with highly reduced flight stability. Thinking about it I can see a way to move the load CG to the middle and get a release there, but there might be a sensor conflict with that setup. Another cool money pit of a toy whose use might be in a new competitive sport involving precision "bombing" of a target with small water balloons or flour sacks. At this price I would balk at buying one , get it to under $100 and I would be interested.

A friend of mine 3D printed a little zig-zag gizmo that will mount on any drone. All you have to do to drop is wiggle the right stick left and right a couple of times and the string holding whatever you are dropping zig-zags it’s way loose. Cost...less than $1. Seems to work every time at any distance you have control of the drone.

Good call on putting the go pro on the parachute - cool, but on the drone too. It was neat to see how shaky it was up there, but how steady the footage was!
