Thank you! I've actually learned that drones do better in the snow than in the rain. The propellers are able to clear away most of the snowflakes before they have a chance to land on the drone itself so it can actually stay pretty dry depending on the flakes themselves.
Thanks so much Bill! The first big thing is planning to head to Tehachapi and Cajon in March or April to hopefully get the peak Spring green there. Looking like I may be able to get the Trona Railroad when I'm out there too.
Dan that was absolutely a spectacular freight & commuter trains 🚆 video 📹 the scenery was absolutely beautiful in places, that was mega awesome viewing 👌👍👏
Dan, it absolutely boggles my mind, or maybe, blows my mind, how you have put together so many amazingly beautiful scenes and footage of so many different landscapes in all the different seasons and weather conditions. The winter scenes seem more dramatic and amazing to me, not only for their beauty, but also because of the logistics involved in driving, locating, and flying in the cold and snowy weather. You have really created a very impressive body of work that you continue to add to on a regular basis and that will be around for people to marvel at and enjoy for many years, if not forever. I know that it is a labor of love and you should be very proud of what you have accomplished so far. Just… Wow!
Thank you Rick you're too kind! Yes the snow stuff is always my favorite and you're right it definitely takes a bit more effort in driving to locations! That's probably one of the coolest things is that this will be around forever (hopefully) for all to enjoy. I'm humbled at your praise Rick so thank you again!
Oh man you will love it! I am guessing you will drive to it heading East on the highway so after that I suggest driving just 5 miles farther East to see that massive Joso bridge at Lyons Ferry. It really is quite a sight.
Becky you are wonderful! Thank you thank you more than I can ever say. I am so glad you enjoyed this much. It really does help to continue bringing more great stuff for you and everyone else to see!
Thanks for the new video. Can’t wait to get on the stationary bike and enjoy. I can already tell that I will lose track of my workout time and get lost in the scenery and the music. You do great work! Keep those videos coming. Take care.
Thank you, Dan, for this awesome video compilation of trains that you captured in 2024 in the States of Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. The drone and ground footage of the trains and the outstanding scenery the trains were traveling through combined to make this video so great. I appreciate the craftsmanship of your ability to use the drone to combine the trains and the landscape that the trains travel through to create videos for us to enjoy. Wow John this is extremely generous and I am so thankful! You are too kind and I'm so glad you enjoyed this much. It very much helps to continue bringing you and everyone more great stuff! Thank you thank you!
No fluff, no frills, just awesome cinematography!! Keep up the superb work Dan, and be safe out there trackside.👏
Worthy of documentary on PBS. Excellent video. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks a lot Charles you're too kind!
1:53 quite challenging images. Drone flying in cold conditions while snow fall.
