This Bo Diddley piece always lit the kids way up. Played it many times. Two measures of a great piece to ;perform are this...does it get dancers on the floor and does it sell beer.
“Hand Jive” was originally released in 1958. I was in junior high in Louisville and everybody loved it. His only competition on the radio back then, imho, was Bo Diddley. Was this concert in the late 50s or during the 60s when his son Shuggie started performing with his dad at age 11. Shuggie was a musical prodigy who jammed with Frank Zappa, playing several instruments, and he passed his splendid genes on to his 2 sons, who also became professional musicians with their own bands.
I think this song/tune is absolutely awesome ! Imagine an old school harmonica blended , that other instrument resembles it but it would resonate additional spine thrill !!!!!!!!!
