    By "rate of fire" I honestly though it was about how often they catch fire! LOL I've been trying to avoid lipos because of the dangers they pose.

      Hahahahaha... that's funny! Nah, I've actually never had one catch fire. In fact, I don't think anyone on our team had ever had one catch fire and we all ran the 7.4v or higher. Honestly, if managed correctly (use lipo bag etc), they're really not dangerous imo (and I'm ALWAYS concerned about safety). Plus the benefits they provide are insanely better than other batteries. We played games at sub-freezing temps and lipos didn't even skip a beat.

    Good video. I'm new to airsoft and I'm looking into a battery for my AUG. A 7.4 probably. But still, it's good to know how lipo's work. Everyone says they're the best and then warn you constantly about their recharging.

    Hey man are you still able to get ahold of these batteries? I need one that would fit a buffer tube, preferably a 7.4v that has about 1600-2000 Mah, thanks!

      You're talking about the lipo's? Check out HobbyKing.com. If you'd rather order through me, PM me, but it'll cost you a bit more Lol.

    Hi the cf project I have a very important question for you. How does the turnigy nano tech 2000mah 7.4v battery fit in your kwa crane stock or does it fit I have a km4 ris with the same stock and am thinking of buying these batteries just wondering if they fit in your stock. Do they? Please answer.

    Hi, great video. I've got a few questions regarding the Turnigy 7.4v 2,000MaH 15-25c LiPo specifically. I'm aware that the burst discharge function on the battery allows for quicker trigger response on semi auto, however, I'm not certain if the higher discharge rate will result in faster MaH/life consumption. Also, would the rate of fire of a 7.4v 15c LiPo with 2,000MaH capacity be greater than that of a 7.4v 20c LiPo with only a 1,200MaH capacity. I've heard mixed answers regarding both and I'm very curious to see what an actual owner of the battery says. Thank you.

    I just purchased the SL9 by umarex. It has the Ares version 3 gearbox. All the websites ive gone to recommend a 7.4 lipo. The manual just says to not use any battery smaller than 9.6v. So now I dont know what to get, lol. I also do not care about rate of fire. I just dont want to ruin the gearbox on my $300 gun. Can you help me out?

    • @TheCFProject
      @TheCFProject  8 лет назад

      +caprisun2k1 I did not have any issues running a 7.4v (2S) lipo 2000mah with a 20C (or smaller) discharge rate. I think this would work fine in your gun. In my opinion, as long as you match the mah and the discharge similarly to the 9.6v, you'll actually be taking better care of your gun in the long run. Again, this is just my experience and advice and the manufacturer doesn't really care what I say lol.

    I'm still gonna go for NiMh beacuse I don't want to have a fire extinguisher next to a charging battery.

    • @TheCFProject
      @TheCFProject  7 лет назад +1

      Haha...that's fair. Though in 6 years I've never had one even come close to having any issues :) I always charge in a lipo safe fire bag just in case...

      I've worked with lipos a lot in the past and from 3 batteries, 1 bursted in to fire and other one was a loud pop.

      Completely understand why you'd not want a lipo anywhere near your house now. Lol

    I have a question, I was just wondering how much slower is the 7.4 than the 9.6? Or are they kind of the same ROF? Im kind of looking for more punch in the ROF just a little bit, but if 7.4 is a lil slower i might buy it because of all the pros you have said about LiPo's.

    • @TheCFProject
      @TheCFProject  11 лет назад

      mikey fearzy Hey there! Typically I'd say that a 9.6v nimh will be a little faster to start with. The thing with the nimh is that it's performance tends to deteriorate/taper off as the battery level decreases. A 7.4V lipo, on the other hand, may be a little slow ROF to start, but it will maintain a constant ROF throughout the whole depletion of the lipo battery (don't run it 100% dead though!). I really love lipos and I'll never go back. That's my personal decision though and other people feel different ways. But the perks of a Lipo I can't really live without now. Lol. Hope that helps!

    Hey this video helped a lot! I have an M4 running a V2 GB and although it came with an 8.4 I bought a 9.6v with smart charger to upgrade ROF. I was considering getting a lipo in the near future but now see that I may wanna keep it as is. I do have a question tho, my gun on 9.6 touches around 410-440 fps. Would a lipo increase fps at all for long range semi shooting?

    • @TheCFProject
      @TheCFProject  9 лет назад

      TheKenman88 Thanks for the positive feedback! To answer your questions, I do not think changing a battery will change your fps. The battery will really only alter your rof. You would need to upgrade your mechanical parts in order to increase your fps. Typically a lipo will allow you to cycle your gun better on semi auto (in my personal opinion).

    I'm getting a new ics transform4 gun what would you recommend??

    • @TheCFProject
      @TheCFProject  9 лет назад +1

      Wyatt Walorinta Evike actually suggests running an 11.1v lipo...if you do, make sure it's 15C discharge! My personal preference would be to run a 2000mah 15C 7.4V 2S lipo. It wouldn't produce the same rof obviously, but I like my guns to last a long time.

    Hello! I just resenty purcested an elite force 416. I all ready have both types of lipos (11.1 and 7.4). Could the gun handle the 11.1 or should I use my 7.4s. Thanks!

    • @TheCFProject
      @TheCFProject  9 лет назад

      Sinclair Hall Hey sorry for the late response. Hopefully you've already gotten out to use your 416! If not, I'd suggest starting with the 7.4v. I always suggest this battery though since it puts less strain on the gun and it'll last longer.
