    Do these models T440, T440s, T450, T450s all use the same base cover? asking so I could use a t440 base cover on my t450s

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  7 лет назад

      Hmm. They *should*, but let me check on that. If they are all the same FRU part number then they should all fit.

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  7 лет назад

      I looked at the T440 and T450 BOM lists and the part numbers *ARE NOT THE SAME*

      If I owned one of these systems I would gladly theorize about what cases you could potentially swap in order to change the power supply, but unfortunately we usually only get these machines long enough to shoot them. I'd recommend maybe trying the lenovo forums (forums.lenovo.com) if you're looking for another enthusiast who has this machine and has maybe tried some unconventional stuff with it.

    You did not enabled battery option in bios after replacement.

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  7 лет назад

      You do not need to enable the battery in BIOS. The battery will be enabled when you connect the power adapter again.

    Hi there.
    Will disabling and powering down loose any memory or passwords that are save etc?
    Does the battery need disabling, or can it be changed with just removing the battery?
    Many thanks, great video btw

    • @LenovoSupport
      @LenovoSupport  4 года назад

      It would not cause to loose any memory or passwords. The battery this video is referring to is the built in battery not the external one. For the external battery it can be just removed. Nick_Lenovo

      @@LenovoSupport thank you very much for your reply! I would like to ask a couple more questions. My t440s was originally delivered with a non-backlit keyboard. Is it possible to replace the original keyboard with a backlit one? And is it possible to substitute a higher resolution screen to the original one (fullhd in place of the original hd+)?

      Hi@@LenovoSupport , thanks for your help! So far I have replaced the keyboard bezel of my t440s.
      Next steps I would take are replacing the original hd+ screen with a FHD one, and then replacing the original non-backlit keyboard with a backlit one. I went through some threads in Lenovo official forums suggesting that both operations are feasible. In your opinion, are there any potential issues (like problems regarding motherboard support or electric issues)? Thanks!

      Hi Ben D! Thanks for writing in. Was the screws just loosen but still in the screw hole or you remove it already? Kindly check as well if there are any plastic parts that may be protruding. It may be a bit tight as well, especially if it's not been open for a long time now, so applying a bit force would be required, as long as it will not damage any parts. Hector_Lenovo
