Hey I know i come a little bit late. I disassembled my t440p then i pluged all and everything in its place but my keyboard doesnt "read" when i pulse spacebar. All keys work properly, ive tried plug it and unplug it again and again. What could be the problem?
Make sure the 2 flex cables are inserted and locked properly. if you still have a problem check with usb keyboard if its a keypad issue or OS issue. if there is any liquid spill on keyboard it will malfunction.
@@URTechieBear It was my fault, I didnt know but I damaged the keyboard membrane when I take off the spacebar. Anyways thank you for your time and your help.
Can you show us how to put everything back together? I'm going to be doing a motherboard swap and it's not really helpful if I don't know how to put everything back into place. Especially those stupid WiFi antenna cables.
well dude, my problem is when i plug the charger/battery or whatsoever no lights turn on at all like there is no electricity... could it be the connector? but then why with the battery it doesnt work..
HAs anyone come across the random shutting down issue with the T440. It shuts on ac power or battery power. CPU temps are holding steady and not overheating. The Fan is clean,no dust at all. New Thermal Paste applied. Still occurs. Upgraded to an SSD. Still happens after about 15-20 minutes. its shutting off instantly as if its its overheating but its not overheating according to the temperatures i am getting. max has been about 50C a little overr but no where neat 70 celcius.
@@URTechieBear I did. No error at all. Apparently this is a common issue. nothing has come to avail. I am seeing a correlation of the cpu temp sensor being broken and thus it goes into thermal shut down even though its not even overheating

Hi,, i want replace my motherboard T440P,, but i dont know about FRU number,, if i buy motherboard with wrong FRU number, will motherboard not work ?
U may end up with a different hardware specs or with different ports. Which may not fit in the existing frame.

you can use any basic Philips '+' screwdriver.

Have you verified the system logs for any errors. that would help in identifying the issue.
Have you tried on board diagnostics ?
that will help in identifying hardware faults.
