VoicePlay's completely independent, no label. They do it all... from arranging the music, to the video, to lighting, costumes and sets, to editing. Very occasionally they bring in a pro makeup artist for complex jobs. They are incredibly creative and talented, with unmatched vocal skills. We fans love them dearly!
That low note is a B0. (Second white key on the piano.) And it was filmed in front of floor to ceiling LED walls, with backgrounds created in Unreal Engine by Eli (bald tenor).
Great reaction! As a gamer, you should also check out their Halo Cover (watch to the VERY end) and their The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim! I hope you don't mind, but here are some unofficial (but important!) rules for listening to Geoff Castellucci (the Bass, he has his own channel too, all voices are Geoff) and Voiceplay! Oh, and that was a B0 Geoff was hitting under J. None singing "me." Anyway, back to the rules. I just came up with them on my own, but after years of being a Voiceplaya (a Voiceplay fan), I've found they're necessary for optimal Geoff/Voiceplay (and to a degree, Home Free as well) listening. The rules: #1) VERY important! ALWAYS watch to the very end of the video, or at least a ways into the patrons scrolling. Often times it may LOOK like the video has ended, but there's an outro. Also, watching to the end lets you see their awesome cover art. #2) Always leave the closed captions on. Geoff's wife Kathy (who is the woman at the end of this video, such an amazing woman!) has hearing loss, so sometimes there will be little hidden gems in the CC. #3) If you pause a video to speak, rewind it ten seconds before you start it again, to make sure you don't miss anything. #4) Don't look away from the screen, or close your eyes for more than a second, because, again, you might miss a visual gag or clever moment. #5) Don't go into their videos with expectations on what the song will be like, i.e., that it will be the same as the original. These guys put their own spin on things. The only thing to expect, generally, is to be blown away by their sheer talent. #6) Unless you have a REALLY great speaker system with stereo sound, ALWAYS wear good headphones/earbuds with Voiceplay and Geoff. They do amazing little tricks you can only pick up with those hearing devices. Plus, some of Geoff's notes are so low you practically can't hear them without headphones.
I'm very old, not a gamer, doesn't matter when it's Voiceplay. They are the best. They've done several gaming songs. My favorite is Dragonborn Comes/ Skyrim. Next is Halo. If you react to their version of the Halo theme, please, please, please watch the outro. It tells you why Halo is important to them and what kind of men they truly are. And the next one they have coming out is also gaming.
I love it. This song always pumps me up. I feel like i can tackle the world after this one and the first Viking sing they did which is MY MOTHER TOLD ME.
Wow!!!! Heard this done by a trio, but this one was longer with the rapped verse. I've been following the base singer for a while. He has an awesome range.
I have been subbed to you for a while, but really enjoy this one. VP is my fav acapella group so this was special. Love when you do them. Thanks for a great video!
I'm ready to go off to war every time I hear this! It's a great workout song. It's even more impressive when you know it's done Acapella. Awesome reaction!! ❤
Huge Voice Play fan here... Love this song from them. But no hate from me for mentioning Home Free and Pentatonix... Absolutely LOVE all three of these groups. They are all the best!!!
To hear Geoff's extended talents watch his cover of I See Fire. If you have younger kids, Voice Play has AMAZING covers of alot of Disney songs. My granddaughters LOVE them and they are 7 and 2 1/2.
J, staring out across the water at the beginning, used to be a regular member of the group. He’s now singing for the US Navy. The rap was added and some hints to his being in the military (ops, etc). I just love that while he’s rapping in the background you can hear the guys singing “This is WAR”. It always gives me chills. Previously they did a cover of My Mother Told Me (also associated with the video game Assassin’s Creed and the TV program The Vikings). J was still a permanent member of the group then. The makeup and a lot of the costuming is from MMTM. Layne (beatboxer ) did the arrangement and Eli (bald rock god) the amazing digital backgrounds. The only real pieces in that set are the tables and benches. Even the door that J walks through was pure CGI. Layne was responsible for the creaking door sound.. It was filmed at a studio with immense (Full wall!) LED screens. If you are a gamer, they have quite a few covers that might interest you. In addition to others mentioned, they’ve also done the following that I’m aware of: We’re Alive from the game Portal, Warriors (originally covered by Imagine Dragons) for League of Legends, a Minecraft mini which is only about a minute long, My Mother Told Me which was used in the game Assassin‘s Creed as well as the television program the Vikings. And of course HALO. A long, long time ago they did one of their ACA Top 10’s where they do snippets of 10 songs and they did video game themes. I am not a gamer, but the music is amazing.
Voice play is just more fun to watch than the other acapella groups. I like other groups but I end up going for Voiceplay songs far more - Valhalla Calling is a top favourite.
Yeah, this has a place on my “Move it” playlist, for when I need to get off my butt and do stuff. LOL. Just out of interest you might check out other versions of the song. @MiracleofSound (the songwriter-he commented on this one) did one with Peyton Parish that is very different. Also, I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but this is all acapella-in other words everything you hear is vocal music (they did some stuff in post that added effects). The “drums,” etc., all of it is vocal. Great reaction!! Looking forward to more!
One of Voiceplay's best covers! If you'd like it on your workout playlist, I highly recommend checking out the original. It just might work even better for your workout! ruclips.net/video/tG7fk_DUz5g/видео.html

Geoff Castellucci is a fantastic singer his base is Phenomenal, And still has a wide range of abilities with his voice. He also teaches bass.😊

@DravenGal 100% agreement! 😊
If you’re into gaming they have several songs based on games like “Halo”. “ Dragonborn comes “

GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I love it. This song always pumps me up. I feel like i can tackle the world after this one and the first Viking sing they did which is MY MOTHER TOLD ME.
Is totally an incredible song I lof the way it's done. Acapella singers they just got something special
Wow!!!! Heard this done by a trio, but this one was longer with the rapped verse. I've been following the base singer for a while. He has an awesome range.
Pinned comment on the video is Miracle of Sound giving them 10 out of 10 alehorns.
The trio version of this song is probably the original composer - Miracle of Sound. At least that is the most popular version as a trio.
I have been subbed to you for a while, but really enjoy this one. VP is my fav acapella group so this was special. Love when you do them. Thanks for a great video!

If you're a gamer, I'd recommend looking into their song Dragonborn Comes
Oh, btw understand the workout play list. Makes me want to blacksmith a two-handed sword. 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Geoff has his own youtube channel and he releases solo stuff each month.
Voiceplay and Home Free are friends, so they are cool.
Huge Voice Play fan here... Love this song from them. But no hate from me for mentioning Home Free and Pentatonix... Absolutely LOVE all three of these groups. They are all the best!!!
Game theme videos they did....
Dragonborn Comes Skyrim.
Halo Theme.
Me? Epic. Loved Layne's beatboxing the creaky door.

I read that as "when I need to do butt stuff". I'm so sorry LOL
@@vvoof2601 mind out of the gutter!! LOL.

Also by VoicePlay Halo Theme, Warriors, the Dragon Borne Comes Skyrim.
Awesome
You need headphones to fully get the sounds of their voices !
This is fantastic.
These guys need to be on the next God of War soundtrack.
If you are a gamer, then you may like their cover of Halo
Amazing
Song 2.

Thought it was brilliant
Love most of it!!!!!! Ok. The rap parts threw the whole vibe off. Lol
The Vikings used to taunt their enemies in verse. So…it’s historically accurate. 🙂

Song 4

The original is as good, and there's a low base version of that one too!
Voiceplay did a good cover of this, but the original by Miracle of sound version is better, imho.. particularly the deep bass trio cover he did.
I like the Peyton Parish version better
What you think of Tom MacDonald whiteboy
🤔 Maybe "I" pick all Donna's requests... 😝 NowI hope she doesn't see my reply...😉
Eh, i prefer the original version of mircle of sound or the one with them and two other artists.
