I absolutely hated the original Dermtlgy SPF. I have oily combo skin and it was a greasy mess. Also it has like zero coverage! The ads cracked me up saying they could use it in place of foundation is laughable. I may give this new one a try if what you are saying is true. Just need to finish up my Elta MD.
Totally different texture with this one. I am not big on glow myself. I would not consider the coverage worthy of skipping my normal foundation routine as I have melasma and don't like staring at that in the mirror but it plays very well with my powder foundation and most importantly, keeps me matte all day.
As far as a tinted sunscreen to try...have you ever tried Color Science? My holy grail is the Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Sheild FLEX. If that is too greasy (it isn't for me, but I have dry skin) then they also have Sunforgettable Face Shield Matte.

Same with the body wash for shaving. I found that Olay Moisture Ribbons and the OldSpice Hydro wash work amazingly well for shaving. They are the only products that actually stay on long enough in the shower to allow for a good smooth shave
Thanks for sharing!! Nothing like a body wash to shave the old legs! I am glad I stopped buying the shaving products. One less thing haha!
If you want to try another sunscreen, Australian gold makes a tinted one, fair to light, basically clear, but it’s matte. I used to use it back in the day of oil on my face. It was great! And they’re cruelty free……for my free gift Friday I just got a new hair mask from gloss moderne. I’ll have to let you know how it is. Theyre also cruelty free.
Uh yes, the Australian Gold. I think I am one of the few people on planet earth who did not jive with that SPF. It felt really heavy and silicone like on my skin. Worse yet it did not stand up to my oil production either. Slippery mess by mid day. I ended up using the rest of it on my body the year I bought it. Can't wait for the update on the hair mask!
@@MrKongsMom oh man that blows! I hate skin being so dang temperamental. I will totally let you know about the mask. I’m excited to try it. Anything that can help dehydrated gray hair, in this climate, I’m all for it! Haha
Interesting about Paula’s Choice. I’ve been using their BHA Liquid Exfoliant as my toner for years. I recently decided that I’m not sure it does anything 😂, so I’m testing the PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant and the Clinique Clarifying Lotion (liquid) instead. I get occasional hormonal surface breakouts and like the feeling of clean pores, haha.
Oh interesting that you don't feel like it keeps your pores clean. I rely pretty heavily on the 2% to keep my pores looking clear and I think it does a great job for me. That being said everyone's skin is different. Maybe your skin had just become acclimated to it and its time to change it up. I do think that can happen. I chance up my skincare pretty frequently because I do think it works best for me personally to have my skin guessing what's coming next lol.
Sorry about Oscar. Hope your mom is ok. ❤I looked into the plaintiffs in the Paula's Choice case. It's a guy and girl who started it. I think they're a couple, but not positive. The guy appears to be about 30 yr old, who's lived rough. He's been a wedding DJ, a mailman, an actor, a wannabe rapper, etc. and doesn't seem to hold any steady career or job. I'm not giving it too much credence right now.
I was so surprised to hear there's a lawsuit against Paula's Choice over it's cruelty free status. I've been using her Ultra Light Antioxidant Serum for decades. I really don't want to find a replacement. I'm sorry about Oscar.
From what I am seeing so far we might be ok. I am not sure about the legitimacy of this.
I am so sorry about your family's fur baby Oscar. I know straws are not great for lip lines, but i don't know if I can bring myself to stop. They definitely help with my water intake, so i may have to find an alternative solution.
