I was sad you didn't feature my favorite drugstore foundations of all time! The Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination skin and The Wet N Wild PhotoFocus (Matte) Foundation! They are wonderfully neutral and even though I have about 50 other foundations (high-end and luxury) I find myself choosing 2 of the 3 drugstore foundations I own over the others most days. 💖

The wet n wild one is really good. There is some woman on here that always talks about it, or she did. Can't remember her name. But yeah, its a holy grail for her. I really enjoy it too. It's a good one and it's like under 5$ at Walmart/Amazon.

Things you did that I appreciate as an aging severe asthmatic who loves makeup: you described the smells, you reviewed the usual hypoallergenic brands and mentioned when the others were dermatologist tested, mentioned various types of skin including aging and dry. You gave me some great ideas to try and likely saved me a fortune. I would like to know for the future the ones that have the silicones and dimethicones. I feel weird about that on my face.

Going down the drugstore makeup aisle is literally like taking a stroll back to 2004. L’Oréal kills the game because they actually make an effort with the shades and formulas. If maybelline got a pump for fit me, they could get in the race. Covergirl also has great formulas and has been making an effort with their shades lately which is a huge plus ❤

Nikki, I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate this videos. Particularly this one, I'm a novice when it comes to foundation. I hadn't been using them a lot as I usually use a tinted SPF as base. A few weeks ago, I was gifted a Chanel foundation which is lovely, but it's a bit too polished for me wearing at work. I was looking for a light coverage foundation or tinted moisturiser. I was drawn to Covergirl + Olay as it has such a gorgeous finish on your skin in the demo. Then I found one at my local chemist and tried it. OMG, I'm in love 🥰 I also watched your video on skin prep which works brilliantly for this Covergirl + Olay foundation. No more blotchy skin for me! Many many thanks for your work, Nikki ❣

About six decades ago, I discovered Hard Candy's Glamouflage concealer (the fluid in the squeeze tube). This diamond in the rough, relatively unknown product easily reigned supreme over all its drugstore competitors, as well as a good portion of higher end options. That coverage could make lesion laden tweaker skin look as flawless as a baby's bottom, stayed on the skin for an improbably long period of time, and didn't contribute to the accentuation of any of my cavernous pores or "fine" lines. Win.
    Then it disappeared.
So inevitably, when I noticed that Hard Candy had a new foundation with the name of my long-lost favorite drugstore concealer, I snatched it right off the shelf... only to discover that they are the same only in name. Suspiciously orange, heavy without coverage payoff, and touting a wear time of 5 minutes in a controlled, clinical environment. I ended up mixing it with a full coverage foundation that I needed to tone down a bit- probably the only application it might be appropriate for. Definite no.

I can't see a reason for any 24 or 25 hour staying power for a foundation, However, I must say 15 or 16 hours of wear sometimes can be a thank goodness moment to have on a foundation that wears 16 hours like when I was ask to do a double shift at work, I certainly was glad my makeup was going to hold up working 16 hours even if I wasn't going to, plus the time and a half extra pay helped. So yes even when dates went longer that your watching the sunrise. Bottom line, my opinion 16 hours could occasionally be great to be in makeup,, but over that, no I can't see it being necessary especially the further away we get from our teen years and early twenties. I have tried quite a few foundations, drug store and slightly more high end. Almost all make me feel cakey, itchy or uncomfortable. But I just bought the Revlon Illuminance foundation and I LOVE IT! It doesn’t feel cakey or awkward on my skin. I use a damp blender sponge to apply it, I have tried my fingers but I can imagine it could be slightly streaky putting it on that way. But the sponge applies it super nicely. I love how lightweight it feels, makes my skin feel good.

Love this video! I agree with you I do not like fragranced foundation. The problem with I have with drug store foundations is they are not light enough for me.

Wet & wild gonna oxide a lot, so be careful. Super stay one also oxides a bit but not as much as the wet & wild one.

Have you reviewed the Maybelline Super Stay 24h Skin tint + Vitamin C? I didn’t think so but I could have missed it, just wondering your thoughts on it?

I wasn't sure if someone in the comments has said it yet. But there's Uoma Beauty in Ulta which is their mid range brand and then Uoma by Sharon C which is their drugstore brand.

Just found this video. I rarely buy high end makeup so I really appreciated the inclusion of so many affordable foundations in one video. However, you left out a couple of popular ones that are drugstore priced but not in local stores. They are the online only Catrice foundations and the Believe brand foundation from a dollar store. I haven’t tried either of them but would love to know what you think of them.

Maybelline Superstay 30hr used to be 24hr & it was a smoother, less dry formula. I miss it. I've literally gone SWIMMING in both and they stayed on though. 🌊

I love the concept of this video especially because it's a drug store version but I wish you had included what the base of each foundation is silicone based, oil based or water based I think thar would be SUPER HELPFUL INFO for some! Thx for sharing this though

I never thought I would be the least bit interested in the *Fit Me* series of drug store foundations, however, viewing this vid has me prancing down to my *Walmart* to purchase the dewy version of this product, so for that I thank you kindly! I am truly excited to slap it on my face now. The reasons I veered clear of that particular base was due to the plain packaging & the dump bottle it's encased in. It just wasn't one bit alluring to me & that may come across as somewhat snooty but nevertheless, my true feeling. Now ..... the beauty of all this (emphasis on beauty) is the technique you used when applying it to your perfect complexion. You actually enjoyed the whole experience so much that I felt its creaminess from the other side of the screen! *LOL* and it sold me! Thank you for that. I will not ever again be swayed in the direction of beautiful or cute packaging. BTW... I am a brand new "Subbie" and my name is Aleksandra Moondancer (Alex is my nick name) and thank you for this exquisite upload.

I saved this video for purchase later and thank you for doing this. Can you do drugstore concealer next? I also have an idea that maybe in next video for each price range say your top one to buy so that people have options for what to buy in each price range (if that makes sense). I would love to know what you did with the ones you didn't like. Did you mean Uoma not Joma foundation. I am thinking the 24 hr makeup is for the people who go out all day and then have a red eye flight so technically 24 hrs or the ones who travel from US to like Australia and want to wear makeup in that long flight.

First video of yours I’ve ever watched. Very impressive and thorough review. Your face must be sore from the tests and removal of all those products! I definitely appreciate the effort. Glad to see my favorite Maybelline Fit Me got your approval. I wish they would add a pump, I would gladly pay an extra dollar for that feature.
