Good attempt! I had been wondering if some maniac would try one of these across a city. One thing's for sure, when the cops are going to plot all your CCTV sightings on a map, they're going to be very confused.
I love straight line challenges and yours came up in my recommendations, I have subscribed as I enjoyed this a lot. look forward to more. Amazed you only have 198 subscribers, you should have loads more.
Another great journey from can-do Jethro who demonstrates advanced techniques for rapidly dealing with those troublesome hedges in Leicester. Brave stuff with a suitably amusing commentary. Highly recommended for all would-be straight-liners.
I wish someone would do a straight line mision with no edits or cuts. And they have to wear a gopro on they're head the entire time. So it would be a true POV mission.
Great video! Only one minor comment: For me, it was really hard to understand acoustically. Maybe it's because I'm not a native speaker but you could consider speaking more loudly and less whispering :)
Yeah I am not expert of UK law but pretty sure tresspass is civil but TRESSPASS AT NIGHT is a criminal offence, so not smart to prowl on or around residences between sunset and sunrise. Climbing buildings etc.. could be seen as possible to cause damage to roofs, railings brickwork etc.. so just be careful for sure as trespass laws do exist beyond civil tort. Landowners now have the right to prosecute, as on 28th June 2022, the now Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill (PCSAC) received Royal Assent, making trespass, in some circumstances, a criminal offence punishable by up to four months imprisonment and/or a fine of up to £2,500. Many landowners welcome the introduction of the PCSCA as it provides a significantly less costly way for trespassers to be removed from land. What The Law Says Under the new legislation, it is an offence if a person over the age of 18: Resides, or intends to reside, on land, in or with a vehicle (including a caravan) without the consent of the landowner; and Fails to leave and/or remove their property as soon as reasonably practicable when asked to do so; and Has caused, or is likely to cause, ‘significant’: Damage to the land/property/environment Disruption to the us of the land and/or supply of utilities; and/or Distress via ‘offensive conduct’. Just the stuff happening at night like someone climbing your house etc.. might cause "distress" and be seen as offensive conduct and interoduce the risk of damage to the property.. imo not super serious but if something were to happen any clmbing of stuff using railings etc.. could result in damage to them, so probably just entering the area of where concern may arise, in what would be like prowling like activities. Also would be suprised this wouldn't fall under like public order stuff or antisocial behavior since the UK went sort of nuts with that to enforce normal friendly behavior that isn't going to upset people. Not 100% sure on that but while it may be a civil trespass, doing stuff on peoples property at night when they don't have a clear idea why someone is climbing their house may create concern. None the less end of the day no harm done, just if you can accidnetally break something it may actually be vandalism not simply innocent travel. Like look at it from the perspective of the person getting woken up by the sound of someone climbing their house "The Crime and Disorder Act definition (1998) A widely used definition of anti-social behaviour is the definition contained in the Crime and Disorder Act (1998): 'Acting in a manner that caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as (the defendant). '" Not saying its a serious or criminal matter but I think it would raise eyebrows and be a possible cause of frustration to occur at night while people are sleeping to suddently be awoken by someone outside their 2nd floor window climbing their wall. In some areas i am sure the purpose would be thought to be Burglary at first glance most likely and introduce the fear of violence.
Why are your voices over all in such a whispered tone, the people can't hear you anymore you know? :P But well done on your straight-line mission, hope to see more. ;)
Could have climbed into it, but I would have had to leave the line by so far to get around the block of flats I wasn't expecting to be there. Lessons learned for next time

Hahaha we don’t even think about these things most of the time. We’re told how something is spelled as a child an then never question it again. … don’t even get me started on Welsh place names 🤣
i love it, seriously. How you guys write it one way then when you say it half of the letters disappear. Sure, we dutch have our stuff. 's-Hertogenbosch for example is the name of a city, the one i live in. Almost nobody in Britain is able to pronounce it the way it should be pronounced. But, we do use the letters, all of em. Anyways, it is always funny to hear British people pronounce certain city names and so on. It does how ever make it more difficult for dipsticks like me (non British Gentiles) to understand what is being said. Heck, if someone on the streets said: Lester. Well, i would have a hard time finding it on the map. I would have no clue where it is. Since it is not on the map as Lester. Anyways, thanks for the laugh, pal. @@jethrohobbs

I used a Garmin etrex 30. If you’re just following a straight line, you can get away with using something pretty basic without and topo maps

How were you planning on doing all those river crossings?
I had a small kayak in my bag. I hadn’t even considered that the lake would be frozen though
