Hey great video. I love the graphic card background. And we can talk about some of that more later if you wanted to hear a story. But the problem I'm having with my WiFi is that the signal works better with the antennas off of the motherboard. What do you think would be causing that
I've not seen that issue before, but it might be damaged antennas or a bad connection from the wifi card on the board to the screws on the back of the board. I would do a ping test with the antenna on and off and compare.

Do I need to connect antenna to motherboard with inbuilt wifi for wifi connection?
Yes, if you do not use the antennas the signal will be poor for both Wifi and Bluetooth.
I followed all the steps except when I goto device manager I can’t find my network controller is there any way to fix that ?
What is your exact motherboard model?
@@empowergamingcomputers the GIGABYTE B450 DS3H WIFI-CF
This is not the same board as in the Video, Your board with the added "CF" most likely is from IBuyPower or CyberPower which is a unique board specifically made and sold by them. I would reach out to their support since we do not have access to their BIOS updates or Drivers.
I can try to do a remote session/support call to see if I can help further, but you would need an internet connection for me to connect.
So I bought a Z790 AORUS PRO X and it does not have support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers on windows 10. Anyone know of a work around or how to add support??
which version of the board is it? (it matters because there is different wireless hardware depending on the MB version) Z790 AORUS PRO X 1.0 or 1.1 or 1.2
Installed the newest driver from a usb drive and didn’t have to manual do it in the system. B550M Auros AX

Question will the motherboard WiFi show up without the antennas plugged in
Yes, the Wifi will show up without the antennas. Your wifi or Bluetooth signal will be weak without them.
I have a Asrock b560M-C and I dont have the wifi antennas and my wifi dosent work do I need antennas or is my wifi motehrboard glitched because I heard you dont need antennas but my wifi dosent work help.Btw I have no wifi bars.
Yes, the WiFi and Bluetooth will function without the antenna's BUT it will function poorly. It is always recommended to install the antenna's. If you don't have them you can always purchase new ones on Amazon which are around $20 USD.
GOOAAAATTTTTT

Any other options?

Did you ever fix it? Because I’m having the exact same issue
this did work but my internet speeds are really slow, any idea why? my pc gets 600 to 800 mbps and my wifes (with this motherbaord) only gets 130 to 150 mbps.
are you using the antenna's?
yes, ended up just wiring it in. Couldnt figure it out. thanks for the reply though!@@empowergamingcomputers
windows cant detect hardware for wifi but detects bt. second new motherboard same issue i did all the steps you advised but can not find the network controller at all. how can i fix it
Which CPU and revision of the board are you running?
hi, thanks for reply. its the gigabyte b450 M DS3H WIFI rev 1.5 with ryzen 9 3950x, i returned it 3 times , then i replaced the wifi hardware with a rev 1.4 motherboard wifi hardware and it works perfectly but i still need to find out why the new one isn't detected as hardware @@empowergamingcomputers
@@elevate1383 detected as hardware, I assume this means it's not being listed in the Device Manager? There might be physical issues with the board if it's for sure the wifi version of the board and no wifi hardware is showing up in the Device Manager.
yes it is not listed in device manager list. when i replaced the wifi adapter with a similar one from a 1.4 rev board it worked on the new motherboard so it is a wifi hardware issue. the strange thing is i exchanged the new motherboard 3 times from the seller and all the new rev 1.5 boards had the same issue so far.@@empowergamingcomputers reinstalled windows, new drivers, latest bios still cant be detected or seen listed in device manager
What if I bought the b550? Is it still the same steps?
Technically it can be but you would need to go to the B550 Support page on Gigabyte not the B450 page shown and linked. The B550 also has a revision version so keep that in mind when searching on their website.

when i connect to 5g band my internet stops working,bt its on when connected to 2g ..can u help
Try restarting the router, unplug the power cord and let it sit for 30 seconds, plug the power cord back in. (The Router, not the PC)
So I tried this and no pack file gets made it says it’s extracting and creates a file with just the downloaded file but that’s all it does. I had a usb device error so I swapped out to an wifi 6e ax210 and that error went away but still doesn’t work I have a rev 1.0 board

Is this a brand new board?
@@empowergamingcomputers Yup! Brand new
@@eyelesscrown7346it's possible you have a faulty wireless card on the board
How do you get to the Gigabyte support screen without WiFi?
You will either need a wired ethernet connection or you'll need to download it from another computer.
In the device manager my pc is not showing the other device setting
You might not have the wifi version of the board or it might be a faulty component
i manage to get the pack folder but when i go to device manager i dont see other devices

You would need another computer to download to a thumb drive or plug the device into an ethernet connection if you have a wired option available.
Does this support windows 11?
We have only found the issue to occur on Windows 10 but yes it can be the same solution for Windows 11
The WiFi works but it’s like really bad is it because of my WiFi because when I used the laptop it works fine
It might be the distance from the Router providing the WiFi maybe you do not have the antenna's plugged into the back of the motherboard.
GIGABYTE B550M DS3H AC does the same thing ... thanks
That is good to know. I have not had as much time with their B550M DS3H AC boards.

you will need to download the driver files from another PC and transfer with a USB drive or connect the PC with a wired ethernet connection.

Hi sir how to extracted driver
Can you please provide the driver file link of yours ?
I added the link to the description. Here is the link: www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-WIFI-rev-14/support#support-dl-driver-wlanbt
When i install the driver it doesn’t get put into my program files
Extract from the zipped file and use that folder structure just like in the video to assign the driver to the device.
