We still use the same silver coins in the plum pudding that were first used in 1901. We just swap them over for modern coins, funny how a thrupence is now a dollar.
Ki Ora happy new year from NZ I found a Aussie $2 on a beach last week you wonder how they get there some times been wet and not very warm the last few day but every day detecting is a great day 😊
What a fun dig! This is the first time I've seen your channel, and I've liked and subscribed. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. How odd to find those items with writing.
@@JustJayDetecting Enjoy the ride. It was a great video. I really like your demeanor on cam and will watch more of your content. Happy New Year to you and yours.
I'm running it in Zero mode, zero discrimination (helps with finding deeper targets, but I didn't find any in this vid). I also need to ground balance when moving between wet and dry sand, and dialling down the sensitivity a little on wet sand to reduce falsing. I really need to do a demo video on this.
I call the pull tabs duck callers !sit the base in the palm of your hand and speak 🗣️ into the circle ⭕️ !calling all ducks come in all ducks 😂(swamp the cartoon )
I only do the beaches after storms or really warm days when there's likely to be lots of things to find. Otherwise I hunt other areas that most detectorists don't think to do.
Could've put them coins in a charity box, their still usable...first you said you'll take it, then started thinking lol, so you decided to show a statement to those individuals involved in this joke, by throwing them back,,....it's a joke mate, don't let something so simple hurt your pride...plenty of poor people with hands out waiting for a dollar, if ya look around, plus no metal detector needed to find them...
I donate all the modern currency I find to charity at the end of the year, I have a video showing my collection for 2024 that covers the topic, you're welcome to go have a look 🙂
Happy new year, I hope there were plenty of beach parties and bonuses left for you.
Happy new year! I'll be heading out this afternoon at low tide to see what they all left. Bottle caps I imagine 🤣
@ yep, I was going out at 6am, then my wife said, let’s go out for breakfast, so I’m guessing, I’ll see what get left for me later.
@jeffholmes1362 good luck!!

Happy new year! Yeah I found an American quarter out walking my dog the other day, makes you wonder how they end up where they do.

Thank you! This video has kind of exploded, I'm a little shocked at how well it's doing 😅

Great vid mate can you tell what setting did you use on the garret

I keep waiting for the crocodile to come out of the brush and take you
@eriksturm7599 no crocs in my part of Australia, thankfully!!
Wondering why the hand piece doesn't beep.
The audio is dead on it unfortunately 😔
Enjoyed the video. Seems it was filmed over a number of days or more?. Is that the case?
Hey thanks for the kind words! Yeah that's correct, filmed across two days at the one location.

Love it!!
I think those coins are in memory of someone
Interesting theory! If that were the case I'm even more glad I left them behind 🙂
Other detectorists seed the beach to annoy others, had a jerk seed the beach here with 400 5 cent pieces to deter me from the spot.
Holy smokes, that's incredibly childish, I've never heard of anything like that before!
Good on ya for the throw-backs.
Yeah it didn't feel right. That beach is probably the most detected beach in Australia, so I can garauntee some other detectorist has them by now 😁
Only real ones know some of these a reuploads 😂
@YoImJustSomeGamerGuy all the finds in my long form videos are split out into shorts, so yeah kind of!
@ still watching it anyway, gives me hope I’ll eventually find something 😭
By a bloody scoop!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll have a think about it.
Stop ragging on the guy...geeez
Cheers mate, appreciate the support!
You can scarff up more coins in a day than a homeless person begging on the street. Well done!
ma con tutto loro che c'è in Australia vai a cercare in spiaggia?se fossi io andrei a cercare altrove ..... ,😀💪
