Wow! 9 years ago they were building 6th order enclosures. Would of never believed it.
Im loving the style of work ya ll guys got going on. Nice!
Great video
monster sub, monster truck. yep, perfect combo!
THATS A CLEAN ASS TRUCK AND GONNA BE LOUD
I had the same EXCAT box but sealed on the rear main chambers at 1.5 sealed per sub on 6 15in jl w6s wired to a 4 ohm load bridged fr fr it hit super hard and clean if I wanted it to and spl if i wanted to had the best of both worlds out of one subwoofer enclosure 20 years ago fr fr lol
is there any thing u can warn me about B4 I get started on mine I'm doin 4th order but pretty much same blowing though my bed
Beautiful
Nice box
Nice looks like a rarri in the sun.
2-1 ratio for the 6th order? Do you get any better results with a 3-1 ratio for a sixth?
Its a sual reflex series tuned guys if you wanna get technical.
nice work, what's the dims on that port, very. curious
Is that supposed to sound better than sealed or ported ?
where is the "finished" video? no link... assuming you finished
That truck is tight as hell, those dds are going to bang
Series 4th order, notice slot ports on either side...
arent 6ths supposed to be reversed 2-1 so the sub rear side plays lower and the front controls the upper roll off?
Bro trying to build a box like this for my truck.can u help me with a box design for 2 dc audio level 4 15s?
i have a custom built slot ported enclosure that houses two 1500rms 15's, problem is in my van i have a steel bulkhead which is home to headrests and seatbelt systems on the front side. Ive made a cutout in the bulkhead about 750mm by 350mm but not getting full bass flow into cabin for 3k rms. can i add an enclosure to the front of existing box with a blow through which will fire directly through the bulkhead cutout? if so does this add on need to be a precise size for the the existing box please? thank you
+Lee Quested i would redesign the box for 4th order and use pvc pipe to vent it into the car...aim the back of the sub into the ported side
Looks almost like an 8th order... I know its not, but its also not a typical 6th order.
ficou bom mais saida final pode deixar mais aberto ter som mais livre quanto mais fundo for som mais longe ele vai
you reduced the db by that. box design
how do you find the specs, or a proper box design, i want to do a blow trough with 2 Orion Hcca 12" but don't know the math for a good box?
We use the manufacturers T/S parameters along with multiple box building programs to design the enclosure. The parameters should be on Orion's website. You may be able to call them for a 4th or 6th order design.
WIN ISD brother
anyways nice box would like to see more of your work
Box size
holy shit man these comments..its a 6th order series tuned box dont matter how he face the subs in this box its tuned front and back ..the owner will smell em if he pushes them to hard...reverse mounting is recommended if its a 4th order .
That is the kind of box I need ,,, does anyone know if that can fit in a Audi a5 convertible my trunk space is 320 liters (11.30 cubic ft
U could build 1/2 that size w 1 12" most likely. Or 2 8"
i thought 6th order has both boxes venting out? i.e. in front the sub and in back of the subs? from the looks of it this is a 4th order
This is basically a ported box firing into a ported box. A 4th order is a sealed box firing into a sealed box
Darren Fettik a 4th order is a sealed box firing into a ported box actually and theres two types of 6th orders.....its hard to see but each box for the 18s are actuslly ported twokgti
+twokgti Look at 0:16 and you can see that the walls of the inner box don't go all the way to the back of the larger box... that creates the slot that the rear of the woofers fire out of
+twokgti 6th order only means the front and back of the sub is vented then you have double tuned and series tuned this box is a series tuned box..and from the looks very well done should be loud too!!!
+CONCRETE MONEY got cha seeing these huge systems where they are using the vehicles cabin as the front of the box is what has been throwing me off.
Isn't this more like a 5th order?
I wouldn't consider this 6th order. Forward wave is not fully filtered. Put another panel between the subs and front port leaving a gap on each side of the panel and it would be 6th order.
With all that room for big box. Why not a big ass 8th order ? Nice sub box build. Truck is awesome ☺ thanks for video brother.
i dont think this box will smash
1
should reverse the subd
trunkbangking Subs are essentially pistons that move air back and forth. It makes no difference which way they face other than it may change the amount of displacement on the magnet side.
dude its band pass- duh funk evahs, Mo beeah hea!
Quasi!! lol
Boxes are crap
Thats not a 6th order lol
xMine1003x forum.speakerplans.com/bandpass-designs-explained_topic15854.html
That is a 6th Order Series Tuned bandpass enclosure. The one you may be thinking of is a 6th Order Parallel Tuned bandpass enclosure.
It's a 6th order series
xMine1003x you just made yourself look dumb as fuck..lol pick your face up hahaha
Looks more like an 8th order from the few diagrams I've seen in the last 6 hours
waste of sub space, and fugly wheels
