I disagree. Both for badly bringing race into it, but more because he is doing pretty much what most RUclipsrs do these days in terms of trying to feed the algorithm. Above all, this is a fine interpretation well sung, and that is what we should be focusing on.
This Nearly Was Mine.....but you saw the truth, so something else is definately mine...and what a journey hey? Pleasure to watch you on The Delingpole. Thanks for your honesty. The world is ours for the taking.
So beautiful! I was crying. Yes, more content please! I love when you read Shakespeare, too. (I wish you could do something with the Shakespeare Tavern in Atlanta.) I will watch anything you are in. 😍
Gday Clifton I just listened to your interview with James delongpole You were terrific A masterful speaking voice My observation on the destruction of creativity is dark energy cannot create only imitate seeing people as talented as you create must really irk them I just subscribed An admirer from Sydney Australia 🦘
Clifton I was searching RUclips for this song as I neared to hear it. Husband died a month ago and I miss him... Yesyesyes!!!!! you nailed it... IT filled my heart!.... Oh I wish this type music and song would return!!!!.... Will listen to more of your work! Good luck and I want to hear your name out there!!!!!!
Just heard your thoughts on JD podcast - what an amazing beautiful person you are and watching you sing - a very talented man you are… I wish you all the best of blessings come your way x
This nearly brought me to tears. I grew up with Rogers and Hammerstein. I love all of the musicals from this golden era. I performed in many through my high school years. Thanks for the memories ❤️
Clifton - listened to you on the Delingpod. Love from North Wales in the UK and yes I could listen to you all day long. Keep going - up the dissidents fighting for being human - off to sign up to your podcast now 💗
Clifton you have such a lovely speaking voice. It's a delightful to hear you sing and realise how talented you are. I was listening to My Fair Lady earlier tonight. I am a fan of great movies from the Golden Holliwood era. I feel like watching a Cary Grant movie. I've nearly finished watching All that Heaven Allows. You are so talented. It's such a gift to hear you recite sonnets. God bless you Clifton. I've been really sick. I've had skin cancer surgeries. It's been really tough. I hope to be able to write soon. I'm hoping I can have the health and brain power to finish my third novel. I'm feeding my soul with beautiful things. God bless you Clifton. I'm sending much love, hugs and kisses and sunshine from Australia. xx ❤💕
'On the Street Where You Live' yup that is my favourite in the film and Clifton could ace that. Also Jeremy Brett was Freddie in the film. So missed as an actor and THE best Sherlock Holmes (although its not his voice).
I just heard about this on the Tom Woods podcast and had to find it since I love the song - you have the kind of baritone voice I’ve been looking for for years now! So delightfully crisp!
Wow to see how talented you are and know its not what Hollywood or Broadway is looking for right now is shocking and criminal. I'm a fan of all good art. So sing what moves you, narrate passages that blew you away, show us what we'd be getting if merit still mattered.
James Delingole brought me here. I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast you did with him. I thought you were very articulate, have an envious speaking voice and a lovely guy. I'm a big fan of the Great American song book, classical, jazz, Latin and popular music and I thought your rendition of this lovely song was superb. You're a pro and you deserve to have plenty of work in this field and as someone who has always had a passion for music, I can be quite critical!
Blimey! Didn't know you could sing so well, Clifton. I love the podcast and I'm always happy when another episode pops up. That said, I would like to request that you do whatever you love most in 2023, be that singing, acting, writing, directing... Happy New Year!
Hey Clifton I listened just now to your interview with James Delingpole and I'm now subscribed to this channel. You are a unique and gifted person. Greetings from the Philippines.
Poignant selection, given your story, Sir. I have faith that a province of the theater/entertainment world will yet open itself up to the gifts you have to offer- to The Muse, and to a grateful audience.
Impressive. Since you asked, and since you mention "variety of styles" here's something quite different, and AFAIK, it hasn't been covered since the original artist recorded it, many years ago. One of the most interesting anti-war songs ever written, with a deep sense of history and culture: Stan Rogers' "House of Orange." BTW, I'm not normally an artsy sort, but Tom Woods sent me.
Oh, chills at the end. I knew you were a trained actor, but your vocal technique is also so very, very good. I taught singing for almost 20 years and just closed my studio to homeschool my boys full-time. It feels so odd to set aside one life for another, as so many of us are doing in this post-lockdown world...
Kudos for your choice of song and bravo for your performance. RUclips is a tough place to compete! Before listening to your rendition, I listened to Jose Carreras, Georgio Tozzi, Brian Stoke Mitchell, and Ezio Pinza. The gift of RUclips is the availability of all-time great singers. It is humbling for ordinary, very good singers.
This guy is truly Black...doing very little and asking people to give him money.
obviously you never been on Jimmy Dore or TYT channels ..BUBBA.. just sayn'

Some Enchanted Evening
I was thinking that would be excellent as well! More South Pacific, more Clifton Duncan!

beautiful Clifton, love this song, you have all the qualities of a "leading man"!
What an emotionally redolent version of this classic. Beautifully phrased and delivered. Just wonderful. Thank you so much!
Yes, more of this please! 👏👏👏
Beautiful Clifton,

We need more joy like this in these dark times,

South Pacific is my favorite play. I was lucky to have a dad who took us to plays during our childhood. Great job on the song Clifton!
You, sir, are a Renaissance man.
Can’t wait to see more.
