With performance capture, it has become even more like theater and screen acting at the same time. It's an industry I love and have a huge respect for.
I found what Neil said about the serious moments with Astarion so illuminating. I always suspected there was a lot of intentionality in the duality of Astarion's character. The facade Astarion is so silly and flippant, and it's entertaining to many and off-putting to some, and also it's masterfully crafted, especially when you get to the moments when the real Astarion comes out. The contrast is stunning. The first moment I saw the real Astarion come out was in the scars scene (my first Tav saw them for the first time the morning after she made what seemed like a poor drunken decision at a certain party, lol). It was so unexpected. His whole vibe changes. His distant expression... the sad haunted voice when he talks about how he got the scars... I was really pulled in by that, and as that side of him came out more and more as his story unfolded, I started to see him differently and took him a lot more seriously for the rest of the game. He went from comic relief to probably the most emotionally impactful character I've ever encountered in a game before.

Andrew Is the man! Not only is he Raphael, but he's a Night Lord from Warhammer 40k. He did the voice over for a Warhammer 40k trilogy and it's so damn good. He's talented as hell
They're all such precious gems. I've never been this grateful to a cast, in any art form, for their work before. (The rest of the BG3 cast included as well, obviously).
These voice actors were just amazing. I've never enjoyed NPCs in a game but these people and obviously the writers really brought them to live. All the characters were so memorable. I hope - i really hope - other game producers also realize that you can produce a piece of art if you put such kind of effort in it. This game will become a maybe the classic.
My goodness, they even look like them to a degree, except Karlach, which somehow made me like that character a bit more. That was great to see, thanks!
What i like about it is also how the game made the characters look like the voice actors playing them you can clearly see them shine in the game characters
British games have been so good lately. For example, both BG3 and Thank Goodness You’re Here, while wildly different experiences, both share a commitment to creating a unique thing that is all about the creators’ passion. Not sales numbers. And that’s what makes them great. Wondering what the next game from Hello Games will be like.

32:00 I was anticipating "Well, excuse me, Princess!" Would have been wonderful.
While I love BG3. I'm primarily geeking out at the point that Talos himself sits there! My man Andrew Wincott! Ave Dominus Nox!
I was so hoping that Raphael and Haarlep were going to be more throughout the game. The game is absolutely addicting, I want it to never end. Such a rare treat to have so many great people come together to create a rare piece of art that will more than likely, never be reproduced again.
You know the game is good when you can tell how much love and care these guys put into it
I love how the interviewer is just so desperately professional in tone and everyone else is barely restraining the chaos
Those last 5 minutes gave me life! Great people and audience all around
Literally any of these could've won the VGA for best actor and I'm still mad about them making Neil rush through his speech so they could make time for 20 more minutes of Kojima.
Andrew did win a BAFTA for his stellar performance, you can see his full speech here:

@@bafta Lovely and well deserved
Not Andrew "having to spend an entire day on his knees" and "being raw at the end of it"
Andrew Is the man! Not only is he Raphael, but he's a Night Lord from Warhammer 40k. He did the voice over for a Warhammer 40k trilogy and it's so damn good. He's talented as hell
Wow Jaheira did not skip arm day!
I just can't get enough of Raphael
Glad larian putting efforts to cast actors to voice the characters unlike some japanese companies
before BG3 i didn't knew neil newbon. Now i now he voice acted a fish named fibonacci in warframe. He has a great pannel of tonality in his voice
The entirety of this Baldur’s Gate cast is full of superstars. Every voice is perfect.
I can't remember ever giving a shit about people producing or acting in a game before but I'm fanboying over everyone in this game.
What i like about it is also how the game made the characters look like the voice actors playing them you can clearly see them shine in the game characters
I wish them all to have continued success. It's always a treat to see them together
Love this cast, but Karlach has my soul! Samantha Béart you own my soul take me to the Nine Hells! TO Averenus we go!!!
Neil is always having so much fun
The cast is simply amazing. I had the chills watching those audition tapes.
Watching this puts me in the mood to play it again. There’s just something so superb about this game. It really draws you in. ❤ Perfect casting. Perfect music. Perfect writing.
Oh it's so emotional to see the guys, hear more from them and be able to observe such great professionals having fun with short prompts at the end, I love them all
So cool to learn about how everyone gets into their characters!
All of them are so BRILLIANT! Bg3 is such a great experience, and the voice acting has a huge part in that! You just FEEL everything while listening.
This was amazing and way to short! I could listen to them for hours😍😭
I've only discovered this game recently and only had about 30 hours it, but I'm having a blast. I just love all the voices, and seeing this video warmed my heart so much. Kudos to all the voice actors/actresses who made this game a masterpiece.
What an amazing cast of people ... I'm still playing BG3 almost a year after release. Truly a Masterpiece of a game.
Since BG3 I've become such a huge fan of boys for their insanely amazing passionate voice and acting skills. They made the game... But... I've been playing Divinity 1,2.... and I can tell... oh my Lord... Please people... please... I'm begging y'all to just throw all flowers and all love to Tracy Wiles and Amelia Tyler. God, those ladies have been MVP carries of Larion forever. I am legit praying for those two for their insane talents, passion, and love for what Larian Studio does. . Big massive thank you to Tracy and Amelia for being awesome at what they do. ( P.S. The rest of the BG# cast who is not present in this video and even other voice actors like Emperor n basic TAV voice actors also deserve big applause)
Une expérience exceptionnelle ! C'est mon jeu préféré depuis ! Merci à vous et bonne continuation !
Oh damn, I didn't realize that Neil voiced my favorite character from RE Village - Heisenberg. Every character this man has played I've enjoyed.
Heisenberg, Astarion, Reed and Gavin from Detroid become human 😂
Great panel!! Ali is one of the best! I love the quote game at the end. I'm in america, its so strange to see James Acaster being mentioned and everyone knowing who he is. Same with bands and panel shows, US is missing so much great stuff!
Amazing cast and dynamic. The host was such a delight too !
This was fantastic. I love all of you and the rest of the cast! ♥ Thank you
The game at the end was mind breaking 🤯 Bravo to the BG3 cast and thank you Ali Plumb for being a gracious moderator ❤
After spending so many hours in the game what I treat to see some of the folks behind the characters! What a shame Karlach's actress couldn't join. Quite the voice and character, but really everyone in this game shines :)
Best narrator in all of media ever
I'm so in love with Neils voice😍😍😍
