I mean, all the time. *Of course, if you need (by contract) work with that person again, like them in Good Omens, I think you don't have a choice. But yet, that is transmitted on the screen. Inevitably. And you can (all of us can) feel the strong chemistry in Good Omens and Staged. It's not fake. In genuine.

After the second season was announced (it aired around 4(!) years after the first), Neil responded with “Wait and see” to any question regarding Good Omens (and I believe the most urgent question concerned the nature of the relationship between the two main characters). As it turned out, by doing that, he was citing an actual line of dialogue between the two main characters from the second season of Good Omens (in a situation that was also relevant to their relationship and the unresolved issues within it). Now, the second season of Good Omens ended on a very tragic note (Shakespeare-level tragedy; seriously, I’ve seen grown men watching it with tears in their eyes) and a deep divide between the two characters at the heart of the story. And now we have to “wait and see” several more years for this to be (presumably) resolved in the third season. So, this was a reference to: 1) Neil’s constant trolling of Good Omens fans, 2) an actual line in Good Omens, 3) the situation in which Good Omens fans find themselves currently. Of course in his opening sketch David would be with Michael, bickering about who should watch the dog, like an old married couple... :D I love their dynamic. If you open an encyclopedia article on acting chemistry, there will probably be a picture of these two. They can just sit and do crosswords together, and it will still be entertaining. Glad they did this together, it was very fun to watch
