yeaaah what a cool giveaway - i am from denmark so i totally understand if you only do the giveaway to national winners. Thanks for showing the MaimeriBlu paints - I have had them on my wishlist for a long time. They look very nice.
Giveaway! Thank you for the opportunity. Also thanks so much for reviewing these paints. They look just luscious. I would love to try these wow. 😊 Happy Holidays
Thanks for swatching these out! I just picked up a few tubes of Maimeri Blu, so good to see how some of the other colors perform. The GIVEAWAY palette looks wonderful, appreciate you doing this for the artists who watch your channel 🧡
GIVEAWAY Thank you Miranda for the opportunity to win the cute palette! Definitely a space saver for a small working area ! ❤. Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoyed the day!
Love ❤️ your blog. Watch all the time I’m a beginner. I struggle with watercolors due to heavy handed with watercolors. Love the little palette. Beautiful giveaway 😊
Omg a whole envelope for each day! I didn't expect that 😅 I'm pretty sure everyone will enjoy your box 🥰 The color selection is so interesting! I usually don't care for yellows- sorry 😅, so I'll probably replace the yellow with a red and add a purple to this set 🥰
I love your color swatches and how you organize. It always makes me want to create something like that for my acrylic paints that I have. I've been working on my water color skills with some watercolor i had from a while ago.
It'd be fun to do that with your acrylic paints! Nice that you've been practicing - I sent your goodies with Riley today. I'm going you have fun with them! ❤️
Hi! As you were squeezing them into the palette I was thinking that the empty spots can be used for custom color mixing and that it was a very nice selection/combination of colors. A lot of thought went into it. And … I CANT WAIT TO OPEN THE FIRST DAY 🎉🎉🎉
I’d agree that more paint gets used when they’re wet (it sure seems like it!). I like Maimeri watercolours and I need to get mine out again for another painting session. I have the same ceramic palette but it isn’t by Meeden, so there must be a factory that produces them for different companies. Fun colour set, and lovely painting. Bright yellow is always a useful colour to have, for sure. 😊
My local art store carries MaimeriBlu and frequently includes them in sales, I love them! I started with only the intro set that you swatched, but I soon included a burnt umber and a paler yellow. I found the yellow in that set was hard for me to mix with initially, although I grew used to it. There are some beautiful colours in their line.
Giveaway sounds wonderful. I am in Australia and have not yet heard or seen these watercolours or the cute porcelain palette. Thanks for the fun video. 😊
I would love to be entered in the GIVEAWAY for the palette. Your painting turned out great and I’m impressed that the paper held up so well to being used on both sides.
GIVEAWAY. I love the maimeriblu color selections! I have a pan palette with 12 colors and they are amazing! Not the usual same colors that most brands offer. And the quality is great! It would be a dream come true to win the porcelain palette! Fingers crossed! All the best 4 u!
I’m brand new to watercolours and after knowing about the Maimeri Blu paints for quite a while, finally decided to invest in them in December, along with a ceramic palette and some nice watercolour paint brushes. …I already had the cotton paper and an empty plastic palette. While I’m intimidated by watercolour, I also absolutely love it. When I was looking for colours online, I didn’t see that specific selection of colours. I love bright colours, so I don’t think that that specific box would tickle my fancy. I ended up buying the Jeannie Dickinson and Jenna Rainey colour selection boxes, along with eighteen other colours. While my plastic palette holds all thirty and then some, the ceramic palette ‘only’ holds twenty. I imagine as I get used to colour mixing and painting, there are several that I’ll use more than others, but for now I’m enjoying just picking a colour and having it my fingertips.
It's great to have that many colors! I always enjoy bringing out my palettes with "all" the colors. It used to intimidate me a little bit, but not anymore!
GIVEAWAY 💕💕 it’s so sweet of you to give away such a nice palette, I honestly think I wanna get this one even if someone else wins the giveaway lol The idea of using a porcelain one sounds nice ☺️ I recently started dabbling into watercolor and I just bought a huge thing of tubed paints to try out and I’m so excited! I’ve actually been using some of your paint videos as a guide 🫶🏽
I have a dot card of Maimeri Blue and they are really lovely paint. As always your painting are stunning. One day i will also buy some ceramic palette but right now my kids will just break them very quickly😂
I'd love to be entered into the Giveaway please. (I'm in the UK though, so don't worry if it'll be too much to include me in it). Those colours are yummy! I have a wee MaiMeriBlu 6 colour dot card with 4 of colours you have. They are yummy in person too! 😊 Your cats are so cute... even when they want posession of your sketch book and pencil! Maybe a kitty artist in the making? 😸
I got so nervous when you were pouring them because I never trying pouring paint before😭 but now I’m curious to see if they deflate a little as they dry. I love my convenience colors also especially since I’m no expert at mixing😂 your painting turned out very pretty and better than I could do with only those colors. Talent lol!
Oh my I've been looking at the meeden ceramics, they're on a wishlist of mine for when I can get mobile again, after a prolonged hospital stay smack bang in the middle of inktober following a bad fall, i need some incentives to get back to normal #giveaway
Hi Miranda, giveaway Those are pretty paints and cute ceramics. I like your paintings. I am going to use my advent art kit in December. I will open one maybe every other day. Depends on if i finish a project or not. I figure i will give myself two days each per advent packet.
I have some of the new reformed Mai Meriblu and the older version. They are like 2 different paints. So different from each other. A rumor is going around that the company uses only ground pigment and Gum Arabic. I don't believe that for one minute. As someone who's studied pigments and watercolor making properties for several years, if that were true, the paint wouldn't flow that fast in water. It would pretty much stay put and lack flow. When you leave Gum Arabic out to dry, it becomes hard as a rock and doesn't rewet well at all. Put powered pigment to Gum Arabic, blend and dry it, you will have a very hard rock that will rewet with difficulty. This is the reason why those who make homemade watercolors, need to add a humectant of some kind, like honey, corn syrup, or vegetable glycerin. Paint companies will often use a synthetic version plus a dispersant ox gall or synthetic version that helps the pigment flow in water.
GIVEAWAY I really love Maimeri paints, their indigo is probably my favorite of the natural indigos I have tried, and I use their golden ochre constantly!
I think the Grinch might have a MaimeriBlu color for you. I have remained strong and not opened another day. Had to put the bright red box in another room so I wouldn't be tempted.
Elisabetta ( An Italian watercolor artist on YT) Pronounces it as MY-merry. I figure she knows! Interesting selection of colors, I like their paints. Their Mars Brown is my favorite dark brown hands down. I love it. It’s very opaque, also their single pigment Sepia, which is actually a yellow pigment, but a very very dark brown. The Mars brown has red and blue undertones, just gorgeous. And I like their vanadium yellow for a cool bright yellow.
Hi, MIranda! What a gorgeous little palette! It's something I'd really enjoy, as I love white ceramics of almost any sort, so if your giveaway includes overseas (though I think it'd be way too expensive with postage), I think I'll take a chance, but there's a huge list of ' giveaway ' in the comments here already! (I've only entered one before this, and that was from Vee, and as here, lots of hopefuls, so unsurprisingly, that went to someone else, too) I love that pretty green the Payne's Grey made with the yellow! It's hard to find that grey-green in watercolour, and the yellow has a beautiful glow to it! I was surprised at how much water the Khadi paper handled, too, and how flat it was when it dried,. All in all, I had a big smile pretty much all the way though the painting (I was 'just a little bit' worried when you added all that water!). 😊
Giveaway! I'm enjoying your videos so very much. I'm learning so much. Thank you for going thru watercolor sketchbooks. How do you know if the color is staining?
Some tubes will say if it's a staining paint by a symbol or a letter on the tube. Others you just have to try and lift off the paper and see what happens. After a time you get to know which paints are Isaiah staining and which aren't. Hope that helps!
Giveaway- heading out to Jerry’s today, they are having a 30% off sale. I didn’t see these paints on their website but I will find something I have to have there. Thanks for the review.
Italian here - it's pronounced kind of like "my Mary" (exactly, and with the same cadence, as if you were talking about someone called Mary, that was "yours", but using a rolled Italian R ), or something a bit closer to "my merry" (as in "Merry Christmas!", still with a rolled R) depending on what region of Italy you come from (northerners tend to have "tighter"-sounding vowels than southerners) 😊 - it's definitely not pronounced "maymury" or "murmery" or 'my Marie" as I have heard it pronounced countless times (not by you! ). We really appreciate everyone really trying, though - it's not easy to get pronunciation of stuff right, particularly when certain sounds do not exist in English!
