Credit where credit is due - Mike was great at using the technology at hand in TV of the seventies to have him appear alongside his impressions on screen. A lot of hard work in the split screen recordings. A large chunk of his show was not recorded in front of the audience, as the filming was long to do, so a lot of sketches was simply played into the audience, to get their reaction.
31:40 - A very good Bob Monkhouse impression here, especially with the facial expressions. It seems Mike was very good at nailing the facial expressions, but weaker on the voices. Here he is good at both, but the facial expressions of Monkhouse are just so funny here. Exaggerated to the highest level.
29:42 - His David Frost impression here was 50/50 = 50% good because he really did get the facial expressions of Frost, and of course he exaggerated them, and it was very funny. 50% bad as the voice was so weak, you could hear Mike's own voice present in it.
He was absolutely 💯
Yarwood rules man!
I’m still overawed with Mike mimicking David Frost with jokes written by Frosty’s scriptwriter Neil Shand. Absolutely hilarious.
His Eddie Waring impression was probably THE best impression anyone ever attempted

Let's have more of Mike 🙏 please!
Never thought I'd see Frank Sinatra duet with Enoch Powell.

you could always hear his own voice ffs brutal

He'd be better if he actually sounded something close to who he's attempting to impersonate.
I felt that way myself. He got the looks almost perfect, but his voices were really bad.
