Blind Wave Doctor Who Catchup Reactions: 19 Apr 2017 - 24 June 2020. RIP!! It'll be interesting to see which of the crew join Aaron and Melanie for the festive special and then the next season.
All of them I hope. Never been a fan of the whole 2 groups watching the same thing and then Aaron rewatching it with the guys. Just all watch it together!

Actually there is 695 classic episodes, 696 if you count the Doctor Who Movie. Since they have seen the Five Doctors they have 694 they could watch. Well.... a lot of the 60's episodes are also missing so its even less.
That was perfect at the end when Eric said we’ve completed all 12 seasons of Doctor Who and Calvin said No Sir! All 13! Cracked me up. Thanks for such an enjoyable experience guys it’s been great watching you go on this journey.

Yeah, as much as I adore this show, I kinda wish less stuff was personally about the Doctor. I understand why she would be involved in a lot of "big things" in the universe, given who the Doctor is, how long she's been around, and all the stuff she's done across the universe. But I don't want to see that stuff very often. I like that her name is known by so many people, that the legend of the Doctor is famous. But I want it to be because the Doctor has happened to get involved with so many different people / events during her travels. I don't want the Doctor's own life and identity to be some massive, secretive thing. I want her to get involved with other people / events that are massive and secretive. She's enough just as she is; she doesn't have to have mysteries about her. I prefer companions to be the same way; just whoever they are, no big plot attached to them. I feel like it often takes away from a character's worth in their own right when they're given these massive plot points / backstories. Just let them be who they are, we find them plenty interesting enough that way. That being said, I did enjoy this episode when it aired. I definitely don't hate this idea, I'd just rather leave it than take it.
I really wish The Master was the Timeless Child, it would make sense for him to go insane and wouldn't make The Doctor even more special than she already is
So tell me, Chris “I can do what I want” Chibnall! If time regeneration is genetic now instead of coming from being exposed to the vortex, how did River have the ability to regenerate!?!?
Fans of this garbage will just do the doctor who equivalent of "the wizard did it" whenever any of the many many glaring inaccuracies of this dreadful plot are highlighted....
@@space1999 TBH, "the wizard did it" is far closer to RTD's "regeneration energy" and Moffat's "exposure to the time-vortex" ideas, which are non-scientific magic devices at the end of the day. At least Chibnall's putting forward a genetic basis for bodily regeneration can be seen to make some scientific sense. In fact, we see something similar to regeneration happening on Earth with amphibians like frogs and toads, and insects like butterflies and moths. Those bodily transformations are genetically controlled - no vortex required!
alfie hagan Yea wtf? That doesn’t make any sense. First of all, Dhawan is the first POC incarnation of Master. He’s automatically already a villain. I don’t really understand your logic.
Shane: (about the Timeless Child) "It's him!" Exactly, it *should* have been the Master!! Then him taking revenge against Gallifrey for lying to him and experimenting on him for his entire life would make sense!!! I'm still holding out hope that there'll be a second """"twist"""" and it'll be the Master and not the Doctor.
It would also kind of explain how the Master was able to stay alive after using all his regenerations and also possess other bodies (like in the Keeper of Traken and in the 1996 movie).
I hate the fact that all the Missy stuff is completely ignored. The way the Doctor interacts with the Master is as if that whole storyline didn't even happen.
I mean... in the Doctor's POV, Missy abandoned them. She didn't know she was willing to stand with the Doctor. As for the Master, relapsing was entirely possible and I suspect the Timeless Child was why.
I remember watching Blind Wave’s first doctor who reactions in my dorm room sophomore year, now I’m watching it finally end in my own apartment after getting home from my first real job. Thanks for the years of entertainment Blind Wave :)
I'm really gonna miss the regular doctor who reactions. Loved going through the series and hearing different perspectives on each episode other than my own. It made me rethink/appreciate certain episodes I previously considered bad/boring and, despite my indifference to a lot of episodes the past two seasons, I look forward to continuing the journey when it returns.
The idea that the Doctor is more than just a Time Lord goes back to the Sylvester McCoy days. Hints that the Doctor was older and not quite what we thought were in Remembrance of the Daleks and Silver Nemesis, among others.
Correct. I'd just add that what was hinted at for McCoy was far more impressive than what we've seen with the Timeless Child. From what we've been told so far, what initially set the Timeless Child apart was merely the ability to regenerate... an ability which was exploited by Tecteun, and which every Time Lord now possesses thanks to Tecteun's efforts. So, apart from once being the (passive) donor of some regeneration genes, the Doctor isn't particularly special as far as we know. Certainly not as special as the mysterious godlike being suggested during the McCoy era.
@@rangedlime The idea of the Doctor being the passive donor of some regeneration genes to the Shobogans wasn't suggested in the McCoy era as far as I know. Yet, that's the only contribution the Timeless Child has made that we've been told about so far.
They should have revealed that Ko'Sharmus was actually Tec'Teun at the end. Would have given his sacrifice so much weight and guilt. Currently felt a bit cheap cos he's not rly a cahracter we care about,
I've been watching their Doctor Who reactions for the whole 3 years and even subscribed to them because of Doctor Who. It's been fun watching them react to Doctor Who and seeing Eric and Shane become fans and all of them getting excited for big moments in the show. The Day of the Doctor reaction is my favourite of theirs and Calvin's reaction to Tom Baker's appearance was great. I'm going to miss their Doctor Who reactions every Wednesday. It's been a fun ride.
It's really weird to think that something that I've been looking forward to every single week for the past three years (I started watching your reactions mid-season 1) will no longer be happening. Still, though, it's been a fantastic ride watching a fantastic show with you, and I wanted to thank you for sharing that experience with us and letting us watch it through your eyes. I look forward to whatever comes next, and I do hope that perhaps one day you might react a bit more to some other Doctor Who stuff, like some Classic Who or something. Even if you don't, I look forward to seeing your reaction to the upcoming seasons, whenever they should air, and of seeing your reactions to other shows I love. Thank you for this amazing journey.
Eric mentioning that some fans might think the revelations are disrespectful to the show’s creators: the funny thing is in early drafts of both The Tenth Planet (Hartnell’s final story) and The Power of the Daleks (Troughton’s first story), it was all but explicitly confirmed that the Doctor had regenerated (or ‘renewed’ himself) before. Those lines ended up being cut from the script to add more mystery to what was happening but it should be noted that there wasn’t a sacred rule at the time that Hartnell was playing the very first incarnation.
Azguard Mike 2013 Source? Tom Baker was one of the first to suggest a female Doctor when he was announcing he was leaving the show. But even beyond that: what does this have to do with my comment exactly?
@@pmce5980 it WAS on the youtube bbc page until jodie was announced. Then, suddenly, they are all praising a female lead. I do love how david recently jabbed at jodie on youtube too. Well here we are. Another reactor(s) has caught up with Doctor Who. It's been a wild ride and I've loved it. Thanks for all the fun and emotion along the way. Can't wait to see more DW reactions in the future.
I've never wanted a specific holiday special more than how I want a Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness prison break episode for this christmas/new years/whatever special
People taking all the inconsistencies as "more mystery to be solved" but honestly I think it's just badly written. I don't think they have answers for any of these questions.
A theory I saw about Missy being after Dhawan pointed out the similarities between the matrix, which uploads the consciousness of dead time lords, and the dark water episode where upon dying humans were uploaded to a data core thing and then turned into cybermen. It would make sense if that happened after this, because it would be fresh in Missy's mind if she regenerated after the death bomb - like if maybe Dhawan only just managed to escape it but was still touched and regenerated into Missy. Also none of Missy's plots tried to have the Doctor killed, because she knew he would survive to become Jodie.
God...we've been on this road for so long, it'll be odd after three years. I'm sure Classic Who will come around for a reaction, but it's been a fun ride everyone. And now, the crew can have DW be a live show for them all
I can't believe 3 years has flown by already, i remember freaking out when i saw you guys start this and now, after so many great reactions we are in for the long wait to next one.
I don't know what I'm going to do without my Doctor Who Wednesdays! Loved watching along with you guys and I'm going to miss anxiously waiting for the next episode. I personally love it whenever Doctor Who flips the table and changes everything as it's what keeps the show running for half a century haha . Really appreciated that Aaron pointed out that both RTD and Moffat 'messed' with Galifrey lore just as much but with time we just roll with the new canon
I think the issue is that this is more for the shock factor than for anything else. The whole point of the Doctor is that they're like 'anyone'. Obviously they're able to regenerate etc. but in terms of the timelords the doctor is like a below average timelord. Full Fat Videos does a good video essay on it.
@@SGK1206 no but the hybrid is aka the master, don't forget the prophecy, the hybrid will walk in the ruins of Gallifrey and the hybird is 2 warrior species it never says anything about great warriors,
Had to pause and comment after “Crew of Blind Wave here” because this is honestly kind of heartbreaking. After all this time, they’re finally caught up. I’m gonna miss seeing these every week. Hopefully Melanie will join the table for the special and onwards since the crew is finally caught up like Melron. Thanks for all of this, guys. Now I’m off to watch your Torchwood reactions.
Shobogan were the indigenous population on Gallifrey. There were multiple references in Classic who. In Nuwho, the 12th Doctor mentions the Shobogans starting rumors about the Doctor stealing the President's wife in Hell Bent.
Thank you for doing these uploads for all these years! It's been a blast to get through these episodes weekly alongside you guys. See you all whenever next special comes out. Take care!
My favourite moment is when Graham is telling Yas how awesome she is and her face says, "Is this old bastard hitting on me?", "Is this my me too moment?"
Thank you guys for this great 3 year journey , I can’t believe you guys have caught up now !!. I’m gonna miss these reactions since they have been a consistent part of my life for awhile but I’m looking forward to seeing you have fun with the Devil 😈!!
This story broke the Whoniverse for me. As someone who has watched the show since the Tom Baker days, I'm officially out at this point. It's been a great ride and fun to watch the Blind Wave crew relive all of new Who and some of the old anniversary specials.
Sacha Dhawan is fantastic as the Master. I really didn't feel ready for another incarnation of that character yet, especially since I loved Missy so much. And in a way, I am still sad that Missy's redemption arc just vanished. But I do think Sacha does the chaotic evil Master so well. Is it concerning that I'm attracted to him? Maybe.
@@shauntempley9757 not like this, he acts like a child, or like the guy with the robot bowl hat from Meet the Robinsons (that disney movie with the time travling kids)
The whole idea of this episode and season was such a cool idea but a total mind fuck because this clearly wasn't the intent from the beginning. Like, obviously at the very very beginning, none of this regenerating stuff was a thing but then with the revived seasons, this _clearly_ was not the intent and it just messes with everything. It's going to be incredibly hard to correct the timeline and background and make this episode make sense after this episode.
I dont want to get into why I HATE this episode too much because I have complained enough and its not fun for me to complain about it, it is genuinely upsetting for me and makes me sad because as a huge Doctor Who fan it changes all the things I loved about the character in a way where I don't know if I will be able to enjoy the series anymore and that is so sad for me since I have been watching the series my whole life and I dunno... I dunno if I can enjoy the series the same way going forward. But what Eric said is accurate to me, I don't think Chris Chibnall should have the right to basically shit on the last 50 years of the series in such a way. Like Rustle T. Davis brought the series back with the Time Lords being dead. This was something to change the Doctor's view going forward. This changes who he was in the past and we are supposed to just accept that this has been the case for every previous Doctor and I don't like that. Would Chris Chibnall like it if the next show runner came along and said that all his work on Doctor Who didn't happen and isn't cannon? Probably not. And from where I am now, I hope that happens. I really like Jodie Whittiker as the Doctor and I don't mind the companions and even most the episodes are at the very least okay, its just a shame that the first Female Doctor has had in my opinion the worst ever episode and arc and also doesn't even get to be proud of being the first Female Doctor because there were now Female Doctors before her. I will continue watching the series and I hope I can get over this but being honest, not sure I can.
The Doctor “(trapped in a matrix built to hold the trillions of memories and data of ever time lord to ever exist or ever will exist)” Also the Doctor “(Destroys it by giving it all her memories)” What... lol
Unpopular opinion but everyone saying "the Master Would have been a better twist" has solidified my belief that it would in fact NOT have been the better twist...
So from what I’ve seen, the general consensus towards the timeless child is that it is a very solid idea that would be so interesting to be explored and extrapolated upon in seasons to come… if it had been literally anyone other than the doctor. (Personally I think it would have been cool for it to have been Susan, and like maybe the 1st doctor left Gallifrey- among all the other reasons- to get her away from the Time lords). But other than that lukewarm reveal, I still enjoyed the episode quite a bit. I really think Tecteun became Rassilon, using their “discoveries” to set themself up as a legendary figure amongst the timelords. I really thought that Ko Sharmus would have turned out to be an exiled Rassilon, serving penance for his sins or whatever. It would’ve made it a more impactful moment when he takes the trigger from the Doctor to sacrifice himself. But I digress. And I seem to be in the minority of people that enjoyed the Cybermasters. I love the design, the idea of an army of self-healing cybernetic corpses is terrifying, and the idea of them fits really well into series 9 hybrid. The best part of the episode for me was definitely Sacha Dhawan’s Master. I love him. He’s so feral and manic, and the chemistry and tension between him and 13 is palpable. (“The history between us does mean something. It’s the rage and pain in my hearts.” Chills, for real.) And seeing a Master who’s had his understanding of his place in the universe ripped out from under him is endlessly entertaining to see. For so long the Master’s been a character that’s done anything and everything to cling to life, but now he’s basically begging the Doctor to kill him. By bringing her down to his level he’d be able to claw back some illusion of control in his life which he’s convinced he’s lost. Other than the timeless elephant in the room, it was a pretty solid episode. People have asked how the Master was able to destroy Gallifrey (or at least the Citadel) singlehandedly, and here’s how I see it: so after the Time War, the Timelords were hurt and battle weary. The planet was almost very nearly destroyed to begin with, so that’s most of the work done. They hide at the end of time to rebuild and lick their wounds, but then the 12th doctor shows up to evict Rassilon and the High council from the planet. So like at this point Gallifrey has like little to no societal structure or enforcing government. It’s probably like the wild west; without much order and people just look after themselves. In comes the Master, hacking his way through the Matrix. He goes in deep, and discovers many secrets, one which makes him quite the mad lad. This deep into the collective consciousness of all Time Lords, he could have easily have found information pertaining to the citadel’s weak spots or any number of helpful hints that could help him enact his tantrum upon the already battered and beaten world. Ta-da. Gallifrey Falls More. And also, not that it matters, I see the SpyMaster as post Missy for a couple of reasons. 1) If the reason for him being pre-Missy is due to Missy’s character development, then by that logic every possible iteration of the Master from now til the end of the show would have to be pre-Missy, and I really don’t like the idea there being a true “end” to the character. 2) Even with the Missy Character arc, I think that finding out about the Timeless child would have completely undone that. It would have broken something inside the Master (as the episode very clearly shows), and he would have reverted back to his natural predilections just to prove that his previous self “turning good” was a fluke, and not some predestination due to a “piece of the doctor” being inside of him, and guiding his nature over time. And 3) Maybe Missy WAS a fluke. A single bird straying from the flock of Masters. And after regenerating, the SpyMaster just reverted to form, and repressed his former self, the same way the other Doctors dismissed the War Doctor as not being truly one of them. And if the reasoning for “O” being pre Missy is that Missy couldn’t have survived the Saxon Master’s laser screwdriver blast: The Master always survives. They just do. They always find a way to give death the slip. It really doesn’t need to be explained.
The really funny thing is, one of the writers on the show back in the '80s put out a theory a lot like this, and was raked over the coals for it by the fans screaming that it couldn't possibly be true. I hope he's gotten some apologies.
@@Rmlohner Lungbarrow isn't the best piece of writing in the Whoniverse, but for all its flaws it still defined a line between "The Other" and The Doctor. The Timeless Child is an unclear, ambiguous mess that backpedals frantically at the last second to stop going over the narrative cliff it was speeding toward. At least Lungbarrow had the decency to commit to a bad idea, and contain it to a single story. The Timless Children couldn't even manage that.
The Timeless Child should have been the Master. It makes so much more sense. But instead, Chibnall has opted to completely obliterate the character of the Doctor for his own weird, fucked up gratification
@@DextroDNAOfficial I think it would have been pretty fucked-up to give the psychotic, evil Master the kudos of being one of the important figures from Time Lord prehistory. His ego's big enough as it is.
It's very funny to me that the Time Lords discovered and mastered regeneration before time travel, but waited before naming themselves, "well, we might come up with an even cooler invention later!"
I started rewatching recently. They'd be busy for years xD 20 seasons of SG-1 alone. I know Stargate Universe wasn't popular, but I still wanted it to continue. I put it up there with the same disappointment of Star Trek Voyager getting 7 seasons but Enterprise only getting 5 seasons.
The first Blind Wave video I ever came across was the Fires of Pompeii review. I binged 3 seasons' worth then suddenly had to wait a week per episode... Wednesdays will never be the same. Torchwood, GoT, Avatar/Korra... love you guys. Keep'em coming.
Wow. And we’re done. I started watching these reactions back before Series 11 came out! It’s been great seeing you go on this journey and I’m glad I discovered this channel through your Doctor Who reactions. Crazy to think that I have watched these reactions every Thursday for the two years. Anyway, I look forward to reactions to other shows in the future, and of course the live reaction to the Doctor Who holiday special where hopefully Jack will return!
The plot of this series is...not the best. But I am grateful for it, it gave me Sacha Dhawan's master and he is totally my favorite. I just wish that the master was the timeless child? I think it would have been brilliant if he was and would keep the interesting plot concept without ruining the doctors character.
The Doctor's character hasn't been ruined, nor has it even been changed, and everything the Doctor said or did from Hartnell onwards still happened. The Timeless Child(ren) is all about ancient Gallifreyan pre-history, aeons before what happened on or after November 1963.
ftumschk but it does ruin the doctor’s character. It ruins their development. Their beliefs that you don’t have to be special to be important. That anyone ordinary can save the world. That message is tainted and taken away now that the doctor is some higher being or power. It ruins all fear of regeneration, that prior Doctor’s faced. It ruins the Matt Smith arc of earning another regeneration cycle from Galifrey. It ruins all former history of the show. The art of the show was that the Doctor was no one important and neither are you- yet we all can be amazing. But what now?
@@hannahmerlino2462 The Doctor still did all that without knowing they were special. Besides, being a Time Lord makes you more special than basically everything else
Main issue with this episode is that nothing feels earned. Except for a name drop the Timeless Child really had no build up. And The Doctor doesn’t even discover it herself. Even the Ruth Doctor doesn’t add much. It’s just explained through a PowerPoint presentation. Also how come Clara never saw any pre Hartnell Regens yet some random machine from Brain of Morbius managed to discover the pre Regens while the Doctor had no memory of them? And the way The Master just let’s this random old man enter and explain everything and doesn’t bother to kill him right there was dumb. Oh and the Doctor just leaves him to do her work. Dunno felt really out of character for the Doctor. Along with how the “Fam” just left her no problem. Cyberman and Cyber Time Lords felt rather pointless. Also Graham talking to Yaz was pretty sad. The writers are practically saying “Yaz is great. Please be invested in this character” to the audience. Welp anyway took 3 years with ups and downs but they’re finally caught up. Guess it’s time to go to the playlist and start back a Series 1.
holy shit, good point! why tf did clara (god i miss clara so much) not see the previous versions!? oh its bcause chibnall wanted to do something "substantial" and this is the best he could think of. Easily the worst writer Doctor Who has had :/ The Doctor has no character in these last two seasons and dont even get me started on the companions, theyre all great actors but jesus they hav no consistency at all.
@@Jaycee52548as far as I could tell, chibnall tried to make up for his lack of creative writing with things “never done before on Doctor Who”: First female Doctor; first black Doctor who is also female; Mpreg; Doctor’s backstory; Timelords get possessed by Cybermen; the Master takes over Gallifrey; 3 companions for the first time since the original series; Captain Jack is back; Doctor is lesbian (queerbait); etc. All things that sound good in headlines and should artificially attract attention but because it was all hollow and poorly executed, it bought little to no attention in the grand scheme of things.
Some people hate the Timeless Child idea, but I love it. it doesn't change the Doctor's timeline, it introduces a new possibility for an era of lives the Doctor didn't know they had. The Doctor is still the Doctor, but it's cool to know there was an era of their life they don't know about, supported by that scene from an episode of Bakers era with the other doctor faces we didn't know. Im so excited for the next season!
The twist is possibly my least favourite thing in the whoniverse. All I can hope is that series 13 does something to change it but I don't think it will.
The 10th Doctor always claimed to be 900 years old, even though the 3rd Doctor said on multiple occasions he was several thousand years old. And there were hints during the 7th Doctor's run that he helped create Time Lord society. The implication that The Doctor had other faces and a very long life before William Hartnell's Doctor was already present in the classic series. As for the revelations in this episode, all I can say is this: When you have a character who has been written by over 100 different TV writers over the course of 60 years, whatever that character's backstory is or ends up being will inevitably be fraught with continuity errors. Some continuity details will line up and others won't. At the end of the day, though, the backstory doesn't really matter that much. In any story, what matters is who the character is today and where their journey takes them in the future.
Really like the revelations of this episode, refreshing to see a reaction that doesn't over react to it. It's not a perfect episode but enjoyable. Be interesting to get your live reaction to this years special and future seasons (whenever they are able to film it again).
If I had to be totally honest with myself. If this reveal had come at the end of series 1-10... I don't truly and honestly know if I'd of had an initial problem with it. But as it comes after a couple of series, I personally feel has been extremely sporadic in quality. Often having a tone that feels like I'm being talked down to. Using the Doctor to explain the plot rather than feeling like she is only at the centre of what is going on. Quite sparse with quality dialogue and character interactions. Fugitive of the Judoon was the only episode in these past two series that I've truly felt I'm watching the show I fell in love with. Perhaps what I'm feeling is that this particular story doesn't feel earned. Perhaps developments in series 13 will help.
Man it is such a bittersweet moment seeing you guys finally catch up oh my favorite show. It has been such a joy rewatching the series with you all. Sacha absolutely killed being the master, dude was awesome!
11:35 With the help by the TimeLord knowledge and all the information of Cyberium the Master actually became the perfect Engineer to create CyberLords with best of both species
This kinda at least me makes the doctor less interesting because before the doctor was just some random timelord . That went to the universe he wasn't special and that's what made the character interesting. I feel like adding this chosen one thing hurts the character and past lore for me at least .
The 13th Doctor wouldn't even sacrifice herself to save the universe, wtf? Had to be rescued by Selmy. Tennant and Capaldi were entirely willing to sacrifice themselves for Earth against Sontarans and Clara. 9 wasn't willing to kill off humans to take out the daleks. 13 didn't even need to weight that option up
@@giovannigaliano6426 In my opinion, she was about to do that, but realized that it was exactly what the Master wanted. Killing everyone and herself would have mean victory for the Master

My favorite part of this episode is that at the start of the season the Master makes a big deal about how he's going to make the Doctor find all the answers herself, then Chibnall seemed to have no idea how to actually write that kind of long-term mystery, so now the Master just abruptly changes his mind and tells her the whole story.

Series 14 finale - The Cyber Master vs the Cyber Doctor
Hey, if you dont like it, dont watch it. Simple solution.
3/4 RTD finales has The Daleks so what’s your point ?
The Cyber Master vs The Cyber Doctor.... I want to see that, them dueling with some kind of oversized cyberswords.
Time lords created the vortex, might also be how they spread regeneration to each other.
River being able to regenerate was stupid.

Don't be so plebeian:/ We whovians have our own word for that: ''Wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff.''

THREE YEARS TO WAIT FOR THAT DAMN SOUND

This is actually following up on a storyline that was put in motion with the 7th doctor and never got to finish because the show was canceled.

The Doctor “(trapped in a matrix built to hold the trillions of memories and data of ever time lord to ever exist or ever will exist)”
Also the Doctor “(Destroys it by giving it all her memories)”
What... lol
Crazy that these weekly reactions are over. They were the thing that got me into Blind Wave like two years ago. How time flies.

Thank you for years of incredible reactions guys! Hell of a journey.

And in the end the Hybrid prophecy was right. " The Hybrid, made of two warrior species, destined to conquer Gallifrey and stand in its ruins "
Except it isn't. As the Hybrid got revealed in Series 9. It's the Doctor and Clara
The total lack of feeling after the ‘timeless child’ reveal is... appropriate
I'm so glad they managed to appreciate the good parts of the episode while recognising its divisive elements
Eric: I'm overwhelmed
Looks more under than over if you ask me
If I had to be totally honest with myself.
I think you all would really enjoy classic who.
I like how Branden was ginger and the doctor always wanted to be ginger, but she/he already was ginger.
I really hate the timeless child being the doctor concept, should have just made it the master
Man it is such a bittersweet moment seeing you guys finally catch up oh my favorite show. It has been such a joy rewatching the series with you all.
Sacha absolutely killed being the master, dude was awesome!
No, she showed the matrix convolutedness of doctor who time line and canon... Even time lord Matrix could not take it.
11:35 With the help by the TimeLord knowledge and all the information of Cyberium the Master actually became the perfect Engineer to create CyberLords with best of both species
I didn't like that the doctor is basically galafrian jesus.
This kinda at least me makes the doctor less interesting because before the doctor was just some random timelord . That went to the universe he wasn't special and that's what made the character interesting. I feel like adding this chosen one thing hurts the character and past lore for me at least .
Pretty sure the time lords used a chameleon arch on the Doctor to make her a Galifreyan Time Lord (ie the start of the first doctor)
What
I lover the bitterness to the cliffhanger sound 😂
I hope you guys consider more Classic Who. I would love hearing your opinions.
13 didn't even need to weight that option up
It's not that the Doctor couldn't sacrifice herself its that she couldn't kill, which is something all of the Doctors couldn't do.
@@Geznoo TO SAVE EVERTHING
@@Geznoo The Doctor has directly killed many beings lmao
@@drekiskrek5008 But this would literally be killing your entire race, AGAIN, and your best/oldest friend. It´s though
@@giovannigaliano6426 In my opinion, she was about to do that, but realized that it was exactly what the Master wanted. Killing everyone and herself would have mean victory for the Master
Shobogans were first mentioned in "The Deadly Assassin" back in 1976 but was never mentioned in New Who until "The Timeless Children"
It was great, but it's such a shame you never got to see curse of fatal death. Perfection
I almost feel like CONGRATULATIONS! is worthy of catching up on Doctor Who haha. This show may be the one which brought my attention to Blind Wave 3 years ago.
Looking forward to the whole team reacting to new Doctor Who episodes whenever they air :D
