What works best for me is I use the "Find a Group" option in the top right next to your player icon in the menu. Then look for groups with the titles that include your rank, microphone required, and an open slot for what you want to play. Or you can make a group yourself. Easy way to get a team that all communicates
1. He's dead wrong about needing comms. Don't need em. If you... 2. Start paying attention to the game. Really watch your teammates, and enemies. But particularly your teammates. Focus on what you should be doing, and then do it as you are judging what your teammates are doing. For example: If you are playing a dive tank: pay real close attention to when your team is ready to engage or IS engaging. If your team is not ready, can you dive anywhere safely to pressure in the meantime? Can you intercept respawning enemies and interfere with them getting back to their team? If you're a shield tank, especially a Rein, do you know exactly which teammates/enemies are alive? Where they are? Can they support you going in, can the enemy support each other where YOU are pushing into? In other words, if your healer just got picked maybe you shouldn't be trying to push that chokepoint down. If the enemy just lost their main DPS- this might be a good time to be real aggressive. Etc. This stuff only comes from experience, play, and ACTIVELY PAYING ATTENTION TO EVERY SINGLE DECISION YOU MAKE. It gets easier the more you work at it. But it actually works better in games as you go UP in Rank because more teammates start to know what to do and when to be doing it so they work with you much better. Comms *can* be OK if that's your thing. But there are times when you either don't have teammates using them or teammates are using them for bitching and whining. Too many players use them as a crutch though, to make up for their less than stellar work on number 2 I listed above.
Don't tell people to use comms. Tell then to start listening. That's the first problem. I use comms all the time, but in a majority of my matches I'm the only doing so. I still make callouts like people could hear me, but checking the chats shows that everybody just has their comms turned off. It's not a problem of people talking, it's a problem of people not even doing the bare minimum for comms and that's just to be able to hear them.
Could you make a video about making plays while dealing with a toxic team? You can make all the best calls, but if your team actively works against you because of your voice I dont know what to do :(
if thats the case then its just unlucky, ggs go next, focus on your gameplay and not what stupid people think, you get me? just mute them and carry on playing, im sure that at least one person in voice will appreciate the calls
I know how you feel. I stopped playing with my friends bc they were toxic as hell. I just solo queue and give comms and put in work. Just let your gameplay speak for itself if they want to still be toxic
MILKY FUGITIVE just try to say you’ve all been there everybody has I mean Guys I just don’t understand why pick on me when you were the same 2-9 years ago
I never comm and i do fine in diamond on all roles. The amount of toxic teammates ive had heavily outweighs the good teammates ive had. Play your role and help your teammates and youll be fine.
As a hog main, my hook ranges from 50-90% and I'm just now wanting to start comp. How can I better make use of, and make my hook accuracy more consistent?
My personal experience to improve: i have been stuck mid silver for 3 seasons the. I started to think that I need to go to basics. The first is don’t be discouraged when u defend first and they get all three points or they get 1st point on 2cp because if they can roll then u can to. Also if u want to carry play sigma it takes time but u can off and kinda main tank
Why do I win the 2,3 or 4 soloq after my friends leave the game? We are at the same sr, we are communicating (need to work), our picks are coherent but we can't win
Low Elo tank feels: Passive, 5 teammates flanking dies, 1 v 5. Agressive, still dies, as team does not understand front line Self sustain, goes into backline kills 3 and comes back to a 1 v 3 still dies. Conclusion win 1 v 6 or get carried by good team
90% of matches on xbox I am the only one in chat. It’s near impossible to climb on Xbox, I climbed from 1100 to 2100 in 3 days, then had 75% of games, had team members leave match or stand in spawn.
Dude I've been there lol. Anything under 2500 on xbox is actually kinda insane. Like it really is every other match has a leaver or thrower, I didn't believe it until I saw it. I think it is because people can't type in matches with keyboards like on PC so they have to express their frustration in other ways. It doesn't get better until about 3200, but the toxicity stays all the way through top 500
All you have to do as rein is be aggressive especially when you have a good support like an anna especially an anna. But like he said if your teammates and being trash be passive and protect. But only if they need it sometimes you dont need a shield tank cuz people will be playing roaming heroes
It's a team game built around team gameplay. There was never a team anywhere, in any game, in any sport, in any realm that was able to work as a team without communication. Learn to communicate properly and, more importantly, LEAD in communication and horrible players will turn into clutch players instantly. In order to coordinate and organize as a team you HAVE to communicate, it doesn't work without it period.
Orisa is a pretty defensive tank so you want to take a choke and hold it she's not the greatest at taking space but when you want to take space make sure you have shield and make sure you put the shield somewhere forward
Any time I see a clip of a Zarya pounding her secondary fire into a bubbled enemy I get pretty wary of that vid. And hoooo boy was there a lot of that. STOP FEEDING THE ZARYA CHARGE
I've been playing tank with my friends and we'll have these games where we'll frag, but no matter what we find our selves unable to take the point or move the payload. I know it's pretty vague but if you know what I'm talking about and you know how to fix it would be very much appreciated.
Pretty sure you guys have an aim problem and struggle to finish heroes like Lucio/Moira/Hammond when they circle around the point to contest right? If it's that, it's not really your fault, just get better I guess. But you could pick McCree, Mei, Winston and others heroes giving you more kill secure when it is needed. It should help.
I do want to communicate but does anyone knows how to fix this bug in which whenever I join any voice channel, it just automatically leaves the channel and it happens again and again can anyone tell me how to fix it?
this game is not very beginner friendly tho, it needs a lot of team work and knowledge about the combination of the characters, which the game never teaches you nor your teammates, all they do is complaining and kept losing. and beginners don't get any experience or enjoy the game, eventually the game end up a small group of ppl playing the game, just like every other shooting games nowadays, all played by a same group of ppl
the publishers of Apex Legends literally paid people to pretend to be interested in the game, promote it, stream it and so on. It's the same way Raid Shadow Legends is everywhere, it's ALL marketing paying people to pretend it's good.
I'm a zarya main stuck in gold and I had 15k damage but I always have no good healers most reins I get are not aggressive at all so it like I do all I can just still lose but I'm not bad and don't think I should be in gold o got good tracking I get good gravs I try to play with my rein but it's like nothing works
Fxck yew i had the same problem but then i switches to rein and i just got in. Try to find a good healer and just team up with him. If youre playing rein and he ana and he is healing u all the time, you will get sr really fast. Im in dia now as a zarya and im doing fine
At your rank you have to be the one who gets final blows. Use ur bubbles wisely to engage/disengage and to save urself and teammates, its almost never a good idea to use both bubbles at the same time. „Good gravs“ implies that you get huge 6ks or something but you dont need that. Dont hesitate to use ur ult right away if it helps to secure a winnable teamfight or checkpoint, you will get another one soon. Be the first aggressor so eventually your team will follow you up

You know for the most part this video is pretty good advice, but there is a lot of fucking assumptions put on the tank doing all the work. You would think at GM rank another GM player would be able to predict what the tank is going to do based on experience and skillset Why is it assumed in this video your audience is the one responsible for calling out a play, instead of it being the responsibility of the team to support the tank by reading a play properly. Think there is a little to much assumption to put it all on the tank. Even at the beginning of the video, If you are a rein, and are not getting supported by the Healers or the DPS, suddenly it is YOUR responsibility to switch to a different tank? Last I checked in GM the team supports the pick not the pick supports the team. Now that doesn't mean not to swap to something that would help the team more, but, you don't play Orisa if your team is made up of dive comp for example. And you don't necessarily have to swap off Rein, because your team isn't supporting you. That is a team issue, not a tank issue. My thoughts, however wrong they may be.
I feel like almost all these videos have the same problems and are made by players who oversimplify lower ranked play. You cannot communicate often with lower ranked teams. They very rarely listen and coms to the extent he is talking about only get you muted or cause flameouts. Secondly, playing with your team is fine, but when 2/3 tanks you play with is a roadhog and 90% of your dps comps chose a dive and non dive hero, and they have a pharmercy or echo, there is no synergy for that. It's this whole role queue thing again. When it appeared, all the streamers and content creators were all for it... i hate it. I am a tank main and would rather solo tank than play with a tank who just feeds and goes off alone to die. Likewise, playing against comps with pharah or echo and th being uncontested. I used to love that freedom when i was playing off tank to swap with my dps is they didn't feel confident on a hitscan. Back to my point however. Rising as a tank from gold or below is not about getting better. Its about luck. It's relying on not having a toxic team, not being destroyed by smurfs and hoping that you can play around the sodding genji who thinks he needs nano every two seconds. About playing around the damage moira and lucio combo, or the zen who doesn't use his orbs, the teams that ignore your suggestions and refuse to group up. And i do have experience of climbing in ow. I have spent most of my time at high gold to low plat, since season 2 of the competitive game. I've been a tank main since season 3 and have ranged in that time from an SR of 1200 to 3100 (I had a very lucky streak and a couple of friends who stuck with it for a few months). I have found that none of these skills videos presents anything new or actually that helpful beyond learning the basics of tank play, which are better served by watching games and practicing. Not dishing on the channel, but I wish that some of these sorts of channels asked for low ranked players to give the advice rather than pros, because if you are stuck in that average player range, those tips rarely help. Btw, I'm not saying I deserve to be a top 500 player, i am bad at fps games in general, and am happy that i have been averaging 2400-600, even if I have dropped somewhat recently
Listen everyone some hours ago before my last ranked game, met two smuf players on mid plat 2700 game. One was diamond & other plat. Played junkrat & won against them on Hollywood. Don't fear those smurfs dear plat players who come here daily ♥️
remember if a smurf is in your match and they are a higher level than like 60, that means their main accounts rank is probably very close to their smurf's rank. Otherwise they would have climbed to the rank they should be at by then. So you dont need to fear the smurfs so much unless they are like level 25-60 :)

I got gm was plat 4 seasons ago thx
Mute the ones that "actively work against you". This ain't difficult.
Amazing Guide!
As a hog main, my hook ranges from 50-90% and I'm just now wanting to start comp. How can I better make use of, and make my hook accuracy more consistent?
Specific targets, pair with teammates abilities
Jayne did something with this. You have to flick a little and pre-aiming a little helps.
You really can’t only play hog
@@chrisfreds6797 hog is preferred main, not a one trick. Looking to improve hook consistently regardless so thanks?
siege try to learn zarya. If you manage your bubbles really well you will carry gamew
I find I just play better without people. Theres no intimidation in playing good and I can just relax.
Your friends are bad, I’m low masters smurfed in gold and still lost games w my friends
@@willy1100 xd alright
I have been using all these tips but I am stuck in high plat because I have problems with my team lacking the ability to counter pick
can you make a video about maps of training on tanks and dps
Low Elo tank feels:
Passive, 5 teammates flanking dies, 1 v 5.
Agressive, still dies, as team does not understand front line
Self sustain, goes into backline kills 3 and comes back to a 1 v 3 still dies.
Conclusion win 1 v 6 or get carried by good team
I cant communicate because of the mic glitch i tried to do what other youtubers said it still doesn't work
90% of matches on xbox I am the only one in chat.
Wrecking ball and Reinhardt are the only two tanks I can't play. And it sounds like those two are the key to my climb to masters ;_;
We tanks be doing these are team be bitchin to fight wit us💯😭☝
doesnt matter if u switch to dva for dat enemy hanzo
if ur teammate hanzo is a noob its as good as 5v6
Yes a video not at 3am
What happens if you dont have a mic
i didnt hear at all abt orisa throughout the vid. What does orisa want to do?
Orisa is a pretty defensive tank so you want to take a choke and hold it she's not the greatest at taking space but when you want to take space make sure you have shield and make sure you put the shield somewhere forward
I got Valornt key yesterday!!!!
Any time I see a clip of a Zarya pounding her secondary fire into a bubbled enemy I get pretty wary of that vid. And hoooo boy was there a lot of that. STOP FEEDING THE ZARYA CHARGE
Vertical. If you’re on coms and make the call to kill, I think it’s fine
I see no problem with it given if she’s extended out or the person she bubbles is, popping them quickly can sometimes guarantee the kill
I wanted to get better at zarya. Now I want to get better at zarya and roadhog
Abdul Rafay same with me
2:41 oh no no hog is trash right now with mei, reaper, doom and Ana every game
There is just simply too many hero that counters him
Could u mb make a advanced vid... Like for diamond +?
What is your sr I’m very curious gameleap guy
He's mid masters
Looks like bottom 500 to me.
anyone notice the rein diff between super and QaQ at 5:20
this game is not very beginner friendly tho, it needs a lot of team work and knowledge about the combination of the characters, which the game never teaches you nor your teammates, all they do is complaining and kept losing. and beginners don't get any experience or enjoy the game, eventually the game end up a small group of ppl playing the game, just like every other shooting games nowadays, all played by a same group of ppl
Makes a video about climbing SR meanwhile Sigma sits in the corner crying.
Thank you!!
my problem is in elo, only like me and another mate is in Voice and the one is not even listening
Why is everyone switching to valorant
the publishers of Apex Legends literally paid people to pretend to be interested in the game, promote it, stream it and so on. It's the same way Raid Shadow Legends is everywhere, it's ALL marketing paying people to pretend it's good.
Treblaine
You know thar valorant is from raiot game
Hype plus money like borderlands
@@kinggamer1442 I don't care who it comes from, everyone in the biz "pays to play".

Many people think picks come out of nothing
I'm a zarya main stuck in gold and I had 15k damage but I always have no good healers most reins I get are not aggressive at all so it like I do all I can just still lose but I'm not bad and don't think I should be in gold o got good tracking I get good gravs I try to play with my rein but it's like nothing works
Fxck yew i had the same problem but then i switches to rein and i just got in. Try to find a good healer and just team up with him. If youre playing rein and he ana and he is healing u all the time, you will get sr really fast. Im in dia now as a zarya and im doing fine
@@ryanvandermark6113 I have no one to play with tho
At your rank you have to be the one who gets final blows. Use ur bubbles wisely to engage/disengage and to save urself and teammates, its almost never a good idea to use both bubbles at the same time.
„Good gravs“ implies that you get huge 6ks or something but you dont need that. Dont hesitate to use ur ult right away if it helps to secure a winnable teamfight or checkpoint, you will get another one soon. Be the first aggressor so eventually your team will follow you up
@@yenno4533 ok thx I do use both bubbles sometimes
gained around 170 sr on tank to your zarya videos ty
(now 1973ish)
Why are the enemies in blue love the content but I hate that one thing😂
It’s the replay mode
Tip 5 are so importen but no one in Gold are taling they are not even in team chat so they hear you. Well sometimes there are one in team chat a littel kid singing thats Low Gold amd silver
Mei should be a tank
XDonovan agreed
@@andrewhagy2209 she would have 400hp and her primary doesn't deal damage so that she no longer has an insta kill, also her secondary should be like Echo's primary
I don't care how many vids of yours I watch, I'm not paying for fucking gameleap.
SPACE IS SOMEWHERE THAT IS SAFE FOR YOUR TEAM TO BE IN
I climbed from bronze to diamond and now im just stuck in plat and diamond
how😀
Ok if your dps aren’t pushing and healers won’t heal you just fucking switch to Roadhog or ball
We can all agree that most of them don't have mic gg
If everyone is passive just wait in spawn silver to diamond
11:34 mcree fucked his ult😂
so basically, play off-tank instead of Rein lmao
On the comms thing yes plz go in comms but DONT flame your tmates 24 sev because I can’t tell yall how many games I’ve lost due to people throwing after someone on the team yelled at them for something. Express stuff nicely plz
Who is good with monkey besides d.va
I can't come because I can't hear my team atea
you sound like SmithPlays
Just be very good at roadhog get 50 hours in him and just fish there supports and hope for the best that's how I got from 1500 to 2400 after that u need to play as a team
Oof I'm broke so I can't afford a mic and big sad because the only way I can get to diamond is call outs OOF
It is sad that some people need to watch a vid like this to understand these Overwatch fundamentals.
pofcross you're watching this
I watch these just to see if there is anything im missing, Im a zaria main and do well with her, but when it comes to climbing i struggle, I watch the tanking vids and "Cyx" videos for tips and tricks on how to carry better with her. I also know I need to learn to be a better Rein, I never get the support heals I need to be aggressive and I suck at being passive lol

Seriously wannabe Rein mains plz don't just be a wall standing in a choke point
haha hook go brrr
I am literally playing as D.va, Roadhog, Orisa, Sigma AND Reinhardt in a match, and I still cant win cause I am literally arent getting heals.
You know for the most part this video is pretty good advice, but there is a lot of fucking assumptions put on the tank doing all the work. You would think at GM rank another GM player would be able to predict what the tank is going to do based on experience and skillset
Why is it assumed in this video your audience is the one responsible for calling out a play, instead of it being the responsibility of the team to support the tank by reading a play properly.
B maz junkrats annoying asf
Your toxic
Not rlly its just i hate junkrat like its just spam and hold primary fire
remember if a smurf is in your match and they are a higher level than like 60, that means their main accounts rank is probably very close to their smurf's rank. Otherwise they would have climbed to the rank they should be at by then. So you dont need to fear the smurfs so much unless they are like level 25-60 :)
@@Towtrucc unless they throw but ya most Smurfs are actually just alt accounts and will probably be the sameish rank.

"Player count" ( or " lets do a player count everyone " Then type " 1" / "One" )
and sit back and see how many ppl type a number,
see how high the number gets
