Excellent work, that's definitely a labor of love.
Top stuff mate👍
Thanks Ricky. Cheers Buddy.
Geez, the fabrication work here is super impressive, especially welding into 30 year old cast aluminium nice work Trev
Thanks Mate, it does get a bit scary welding that old cast stuff. I guess you've got to be prepared to bin it if it goes tits up at some point. I was almost there with it hey. Cheers Mate.
Smooooooth work!
Thankyou Sir.
UNBELIEVABLE
Cheers Kimber.
Looks clean brother!
Thankyou Sir.
That rear boss must have created quite the eddy of turbulence, nice job getting rid of that. I wonder if a light glass bead would blend it all out.
Looking good Trevor.
Cheers
G'day Rick, yes it was pretty nasty in there. I'll kook into bead blasting it. Cheers Mate.
Good work mate, so many hours to get a finish like that. This must easily be the most full on z32 build in Oz.
😉👍🇦🇺
Thanks Tony. I was unsure at the start of it, but pretty happy with how it turned out in the end. Cheers Mate.
I am Shin nazo cinema's,
I am from japan, Nice to meet you.
Another great job Trev look forward to seeing it finished.
Thankyou Wayne, You and me both! Cheers Mate.
@@TheAussieShed Yes I'll bet you are I'm exhausted just watching.
Great work man, love seeing your progress
Thanks Ryan, Cheers Mate.
Wow that looks amazing, and should flow much better.
Cheers Mate.
Z is coming along well, awesomely. Just for the record- I recon how you bypassed the oil temp/pressure relief/thermostat - going to the oil cooler, may result in lower than optimal oil pressure. I would be careful that oil pressure is adequate especially on cold start, although it makes sense what you have done.
Wow, a lot of work and quite a few obstacles to overcome.
Newbie question, wouldn't rebuilding it with aluminium tube and mandrel bent pieces have been an option but with better flow?
G'day Ben, certainly doable. a lot of work re jigging the throttle body locations etc. this was way easier comparatively. Cheers Mate.
DBW! How are you pulling that off? have not seen that on a VG. love your vids.
G'day Mate, Polar Engineering have it currently in development. Should be pretty close to release. Cheers Mate.
I have to ask, because I am very much tempted to re-create what you did here because I am getting 62mm billet throttle bodies and drive by wire too, but what did you end up doing with the balance tube? Is there an episode that I missed that you sorted that out?
G'day Mate, the Balance tube is still yet to be sorted.. I really need the engine in to properly work out the best location. I know what I want to achieve with it, but it is tricky. Sounds like you feel the same way. Hopefully it won't be to long before i'm back on it. Cheers.
@@TheAussieShed Yeah I’ve been diving down the custom rabbit hole for a while like you. Trying to delete the relay box and fusible link box in favor of Haltech’s PD-16. Between that, working on this drive by wire system, and working on getting a custom hybrid turbo setup using the compressor side of the GTX2867r and the turbine side of the 2860r I’m exhausted.
@@Defiant155 Lol, I feel your Pain. Cheers.
