    As you've probably gleaned from my previous comments I know sod all about the intricacies of motor car restoration. What I've learnt from watching this series is that the large proportion of the process is getting things clean and 'straight ', ( straight in this regard being the stuff you've just shown us re the block and heads and similarly with the preparation of panels). On that basis I conclude that even a total novice could undertake maybe be 50% of the renovation by merely doing the elbow work of cleaning, sanding, fettling assuming they have the patience and application. This, I'd suggest, would significantly reduce the dollar cost of renovating (not including time) which for the average Joe starts to make the whole process economically viable

    Last year a bought a Z with the engine out. I planned to overhaul it through the christmas holidays. Now I am glad that I haven't as I will definately do the deburring. I've seen it before on some page but you have convinced me to do it. Greetings from austria

    Yes i loved i do my engins like that spend hundred of hours
    The New generation only think in puting expesive parts and its it and dont now the huge diference you can achive

    Great job on the crankcase. You very nearly need to wear kevlar gloves when handling Z32 heads and blocks. Every corner is a potential razor blade. I have every respect for Japanese machinists. They do great work, except they never seem to deburr what they create.
