Just look at her attitude throughout this whole dance! This whole past months, we've been seeing Helen Skelton go on a genuine journey of therapy. The joy of dancing has actually given her life and meaning during this hard time in her life. She has become such a different woman to the one we saw in week one. It's so beautiful. To see where she would have been so focused and nervous and all the acting, character-ful flourishes she would have never touched pre-Charleston... She's turned into a real performer. Qs for the dance, I can concede that she was holding something back, but that 5 was more than a bit harsh, you kidding me?

I like the quirkiness both Helen & Gorka brought to the dance, but maybe it's because last week she was so amazing that this week .. it felt like she was holding back a bit . I still found the Samba pleasant and fun , but it felt like Helen needed to let go more with more energy .
Its not about pto ,showing themselves too much,weird celebrity. Boring don't watch much ,bit online

I think Helen has really grown and improved over the last few weeks and I really enjoyed this routine. Was it the best, no. Was it enjoyable, yes. Totally undermarked by Craig and I think he was way too personal with his comments. Helen's confidence is only just coming back after everything she's been through and I think this show is really helping her 😊

Oh come on Craig, this wasn't a 5 and it was much better than Ellie's dance. But it did lack bounce, fluidity, hip action, and her upper body lines were very planketized throughout it. I thought the footwork was good but there were some slight timing issues with it. Buuut, she brought such great personality and energy to this and it was very entertaining!

Ever since Helen did her Jive on the Christmas special, I had been lowkey waiting for her to do the main series. I feel this dance, while not her best scoring, was a good example of how much she is grown through the series. Just the flow of her movements are so much smoother now, while she does have a bit of 'stuckness' at moments. Hoping she can survive tonight's vote
Helen is massively popular and seems a bit of a dark horse , she's deffo getting to the final . This Samba was fun and quirky ... but felt a bit like she was holding back and felt a bit tense. Was still a good dance , But last week was her best with the quickstep for sure.
@@gemstar7286 no she isn't a dark horse. She has been the favourite since the beginning. She's just the PC type of personality the audience of this show tend to like.
It's a nine from me because it lacked hip movement but part form that well done Helen and gorka
Love looking at comments when they say they lost their timing. HALF THE TIME ITS BECAUSE THEY MAKE A MISTAKE IF COMMENTATORS ACTUALLY NOTICED. She was doing fab until solo part when she lost the routine then she was back to thinking too much again. Shes thinking crap what am I doing at this bit? If she moves her top half more to music too it would help. She defo looks more relaxed tho.
The begining reminds me of me when I messed about with mum's bags and shoes thinking I was cool 💀
Anyways yes the timing was off during her solo, but it was *not a 5* it was better than Ellie and I *love* Ellie. In the meantime let's continue to appreciate her confidence coming back.

No way was that a 5!!! Crazy Craig 🤪. Shame Helen lost it at 1:12 she got out of sync in her lockstep which made it look messy but I thought she had some great footwork especially in her cortajacka that was lovely. Great rhythm and style in the beginning, her spotting has definitely improved her spins were great. I liked her attitude and personality here it really came alive, I thought the routine was good, the trolley section might have been to pass time but idc as I was looking elsewhere but we shall not discuss that, moving on *_* I liked the dance, some moves were great and some looked more awkward, I don't think Helen enjoys the Latin as much but she gave it some good try there. Her heart is in it now and she comes to deliver and she has precision and cleanliness which goes along way for me. Overall, a decent effort.
Sorry but I agree with Craig. There was absolutely no chilli or samba flavour in this and technically it had little ambition and even what was there wasn't danced well. Not 8s for me.

Craig giving this a 5 was more scoring manipulation on the public from him to get Helen sympathy/outrage votes that Ellie would have gotten.
Craig giving Helen a low score in the hope that Ellie's sympathy vote switches to Helen and looking at social media, it worked.
There has been way to much scoring manipulation from Craig this year and it needs to be looked into.
And equally clear the others are often deliberately overscoring to compensate or you know..because Shirley will always overscore any guy and underscore any woman.
They should have used the original style in which Emma Bunton did that song! So energetic 💖

This lacked any real fluid oozy coolness in the trunk that you want to see in a samba, especially this far into the competition. The rhythm changes seemed slightly hesitant also. However, a lovely, bright performance from Helen did make me smile. 6
i predicted that helen would not get a high mark for the samba; she should have got 30+ but the tune wasn't all that well known!
however, even if she is in the final 2, probably with ellie, she will go through!!!
@@normankennith7919 ... The tune is well known and has been sung by many famous singers over the years. It's an absolutely cracking Samba track that lends itself perfectly to the dance, unlike some of adaptions made for dances sometimes on Strictly.

Can't say i liked this performance...Helen didn't seem comfortable in her own skin ....but i think she deserves to win the competition... she's been the most consistent and has such grace.

UGH! I’m so gutted, Helen’s performance was lacking bounce, it was too straight like Craig said, it needed more body action. But there were some good moments in the dance such as Helen’s personality, and her connection with Gorka was really showing, she did have some good hip action, her arms were also good, her footwork wasn’t too bad either, but yeah, very disappointing. Craig’s 5 was harsh 👎🏻

I quite enjoyed this to be fair, 5 was pretty harsh! She was definitely doing some samba, it's not like she missed it completely. (Tho, I can see how she's missing the bounce and hips). She didn't need to be in that trolley either, absolute waste of time, should've danced straight to the end. Love seeing this confident new Helen!
It wasn't great, one of her worst dances if she wasn't one of the favourites I would say she's in danger this week 6/10

I really like her personality wise but she dances the same every week. The quickstep has been her only good dance and it’s week 10. I can’t believe she has never been in the dance off while Molly and Fleur (who are way better) have been there 3X already.
And last but certainly not least Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez.
Just when Helen was getting into her dancing she had to get emotionally nocked down by this dance, this dance did not match Helen for she looked very awkward within the dance and the dance did not flow the way it was suppose to.
But that one is not the version of Emma bunton, absolutely is not her voice!

no way is this a 5. it's far from perfect obviously- the solo parts she clearly isn't comfortable in (not sure why gorka would keep it in the routine) arms are mostly good but legs are the issue. this dance makes me smile from ear to ear and that's what strictly is about.

I'm DISGUSTED by Craig's 5. Yes it was not her best dance by any stretch of the imagination, but it was OK. She did lack bounce and hip action, but she had nice footwork! It's just a shame she got on the wrong foot at 1:12, it would have been even better then!
5 is about right for me. This was wooden as heck, no hip action or bounce whatsoever. The feet weren't good, the free arm was dreadful. No way should a dance like that get 8s

the judging is SHAMEFUL how they dare call them selves judges Hamza did a terrible argentine tango and gets tens he dances like a ironing board and never gets a bad critique while the others who are much better get pulled apart ,it was reported in the Mail on Sunday last week that the BBC hope it,s an all BLACK final how racist is that !!he is getting through on he,s colour and not on he,s preformance SHIRLEY is acting like a idiot when it comes to critiquing the dancers
