Gorka has really grown on me. I never disliked him just didn't think too much about him as he was quite reserved. He seems like a really supportive partner and a genuine person. Helen also seems very genuine and she's got a lot of potential too. I think the glitterball is going to be theirs this year!
Helen captured the fun and cheekiness of this dance excellently. She also kept up well in the pacy sections. But the key to a good cha cha cha is a straight leg and this was almost completely missing. 6
Score - *8/10* Gorka distracting again? Well idrc because Helen danced that beautifully, new yorker, forward check walks and cuban breaks all on point. I really like the feeling of this dance, their outfits are incredible and the song is great which really helps. The basic Cha Cha in the leg action and walks could do with some work but fabulous beginning and end. Helen hit some great lines and spot turns were good. I hope she delves into it and really takes the dance into her hands soon because I think she could be an all rounded :) I see good things here. I'm really looking forward to see how far this goes, could be quite a long road I think and I rlly hope so at that

It was good, but felt a bit bouncy at times (kind of like Fleur East last week). It reminded me of her Jive she did for the Christmas special (which she won btw), so it does make me intrigued how she'd do for her jive. Same thing as Fleur East, it was good but a bit off in the 'cha cha spirit'. Would have given her a 6.5 (would round it up to a 7 cause her cha cha walks were decent)
Nice. Helen's more of a ballroom girl, but this wasn't half bad. The speed and the leg is more the issue. But come on, it was so great how seamlessly they got into hold and immediately danced without being eased into it. It was like instinct. Helen is a dancer for sure!
Helen had really painful feet this week from the shoes she's been practising in, so maybe why her legs/feet weren't sharp enough, and also in the beginning her hair fell in front of her face which might have been awkward.

The most important thing in the Cha Cha Cha is straighten the legs, and not dance with both of the legs bent all the time, because this prevents from creating hip action, which is so asssential in this dance. Helen's musicality was spot on, she didn't miss a beat, her partnership was Gorka was great, and she portrayed the character of the dance and had a lovely time on the dance floor. Footwork wise, though, most of the time she didn't straighten her legs. So, there were some very good and impressive parts, but I wanted far more consistency, I don't want only two or three steps to be impressive, I want the whole routine to be immaculate. My score: 6.

As usual separate his scoring from the others to make it look like he knows what he's talking about and they're being over generous. No offense but Craig's cha cha basic at his introduction were shite. His legs were bent and no proper foot control or feet positioning Your non standing leg should be straight and foot pointed with heel off ground. Learn cha properly before commenting on potential talent
I know this is a bit of a werid question but why does Gorka wear a shirt when alot of his dances he has it undone, I understand he's got the body to show off so why bother wearing a shirt
The singers murdered this song in a bad way tbh distracted me from the dance if it was sang properly would of been better i know they can sing it's just they sounded a bit like they was putting it on and not their real singing voice
I feel like cha cha cha has a rep as the dance you do not want to get in the latter stages of the competition for this reason. I always assumed it was a combination of celebrities finding it hard to grasp the technique and also feeling awkward re the character of the dance. Gorka definitely tries to teach cha cha technique as evidenced by multiple clips during the years and Helen did reference him constantly reminding her to straighten her legs in practice so who knows lol.
Aww Gorka's son and Gary's son make people so welcome. Definitely a place where I can let it rain in therapy and feel safe and comfortable. Not sure why Lucy sent a hit the road jack fake statement??? I thought they did extremely well. 👍🫶😸😸
