Quick review of my 2008 Suzuki GSX-R 600! Going through some of the features i love about this bike! Instagram: @pertturiku SeeMeRiding Merch: shop.spreadshi...
Perfect review. I remember watching this a year ago and decided this is the bike I wanted. Fast forward a year and now I own an 08' gsxr600 and it has changed my life for the better. Thanks for the review and ride safe!
@robbie2wheel Yes, first and only bike I've owned so far. I've never ridden the Zx6r but I would assume there's a power band difference, the small bit in extra cc's, and the depends how the ecu is tuned
I bought one of these today, A mode is the only mode I’ve tried lol! I just got off a 1998 600 srad, this k8 is so much easier to ride, but I’m gonna keep the srad tucked away as it was my first proper bike.
I got a black 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 600. Personally I believe the 2008 - 2010 models look the best. I love everything about it. From turn signals on the mirrors (no need for flush mounts), dual high beams, and that sexy tail end... ugh.
Best video i could have gotten recomended. I think buying a 600cc sportbike even as a beginner is stupid for me. But Hey these 2008 gsxr with these modes? I had no idea C mode cuts the horsepower in half, that is huge. Sounds perfect for a noob to learn riding on it. Tho perhaps there are some negatives i am not aware of.
+Houssam Naim No didn't crash :) It's winter time in Finland so no videos sadly :( But i've got a really special surprise coming in the next month or so, so stay tuned. I'm so excited!
True, but it's down by so much power that i would never consider putting C mode on a wet day. I just had it on for like 1 day to be comfortable with the bike 🙂
Got a '05 GSF 650 BANDIT, not a Bandit S, better than a Bandit S, more torque!!!, one very careful, cautious owner, who basically ran it in, for just over 15,000 miles. It pulls up steep, steep hills, like it's falling off a cliff, acceleration that is magical. would not swap it, for all the tea in China!!!!.
I have this same bike I bought it new and honestly I never touched the modes I am going to start to use the modes. Dang had this bike for 10 years 2018 and now I am going to use the abc mode lol dam I am late
I wish i can ride in a country like that. Here in the 3rd world light traffic is considered where 50-60% of the road is occupied by cars trucks moto trikes carts illegal settlers vendors etc.
hey mate! absolutely agree with you as you said the look is the best about the bike and it's also the best looking 600ccm! got a k9 myself in red/orange metallic and i'm in love! thank you very much for the review, I didn't even know what's the difference in the different modes hahah ... need to test it soon :D
+John Jeriz Lopez Ignacio Hah, too bad it's winter time here in Finland :( Been thinking about buying something to ride in the winter, like a four wheeler, or a snow mobile
I really wanted this bike but couldn't seem to find one for myself so I landed on an R6. I love my R6 but this was my dream bike. Looks beautiful that cyclops eye in the middle😍 perfect.
I agree. GSXR's in general have gone up in value, at least here in Finland. It's difficult to find a good deal on a bike that has less than 30,000km done
How long had you been riding before moving up to the 600? I'm on a cbr300r - have put almost 10,000km's on it in 9 months and have found the power very underwhelming. No passing power over 80km/h. has me literally dreaming of a 600.
I'm working on getting my motorcycle permit this week and im torn between this an a ninja 300 cc lol I usually take the highway to work and the bike is going to be my main source of transportation. any thoughts or advice?
tough to say. I mean seems like it will be your first bigger bike. If it's possible for you, i'd recommend to go on a test drive. 600cc are easy to ride, i will say that. Just need to be careful at the beginning if you're not used to that kind of power.
@@SeeMeRiding thanks for the quick reply and I will add the gtx600 is lowered and sits around $7000 while the ninja is about $3000. I'll probably get to test it later on in the week due to florance making every road flood around the area but thanks for the advice I've just seen a few videos of yours and they've all been very helpful man.
Would this be a good first bike? i talked to my dad and he said don,t get anything under a 600 because in a week you'll regret it, i have never owned a bike because i am 16 but one thing about me is i'm good at anticipating things and i understand what would happen pretty quickly, all in all i'm just asking if this would be a good starter bike
As i've said in previous comments it all depends on how you feel about having a pretty powerful bike with no experience with bikes before. It can be a tough call. I started with a moped then a CBR 125 then GSX-R600 and now the BMW S1000RR. But that was because i couldn't get a big bike when i was 16 i had to wait until i was 20 years old to ride whatever i want. But if you can go test ride one. That will immediately tell you if a 600 is the starter bike to have or a lower. But in my mind i would start with a bit smaller maybe a 300cc bike. But this is a difficult question to answer because i have no idea of your riding skills and knowledge about driving in the street etc. This was a bit of a messy answer but hopefully it answered even a bit of your question! :)
+SeeMeRiding, I still don't have my license, my dad keeps telling me that I'd be good at riding cause i learn fast but I'm stuck between a 300 or a 600 because I've never rode a motorized 2 wheeler I'm sure once I get a bit of experience I'll be able to pick it up pretty fast, the bike I want is the GSX-R 600 because it has AB and C mode on it which you probably know of, I read a comment once and a guy said he started out on a 750 but I'm a little bit concerned as I'm only like 5'9 and 140 pounds and I don't know how well I could handle it, if a 600 is not what I would get, it would probably be the Ninja 300 because of its price and I've heard some good reviews, thanks for the reply Im just seeking advice
Elcam Actually that is a good point about the A,B and C modes. Because like i said in my review C mode is like only 50% of the power. For example the first time i rode my GSX-R i had it in C mode just to get my feel around. And just after a few kilometres i but it in A or B mode because it was super easy to ride. I don't think your size will cause any problems. Just take it slow and learn how to ride in a quiet are to practice like dodging and slow riding
Have you owned any bike before? And it was a very easy bike to ride. I liked it a lot and was surprised on how easy it was to ride. But if you have never ridden before then i might suggest to start with a smaller one. But it all depends on how you feel comfortable with yourself
@@SeeMeRiding great audio i get wind noise no matter where i puy my sony stero mic but im starting to think its my ls2 helmet ..ijust got an icon airflite but at 17 degrees out its now too cold to test it lol
@@carolinayamadawg8706 Right, i guess the helmet design also makes a difference, but i've also noted that the big thing is also the mic itself. I had in this time a quite expensive mic, a sennheiser that cost about 80-90€ at the time. Also i would recommend to try and get a fluffy windstopper on top of the mic and just hide the mic as much inside the helmet paddings as possible.

Hard to say. It's a question that will go on for years. Is it good to start on a 600cc? Yes and no. No because it a lot of power for a starter bike. And yes because they are quite easy to ride. But i would say that go for a test ride. Or maybe test first a smaller bike to get your feel back and then riding the slower bike you will then know which one to buy

How much did you pay for it? Someone is selling one for 1k and I want it
Best review on RUclips especially the a,b and c Part was perfectly explained tbh you should do more vlogs with whatever bike you have..sub
Thanks man! I appreciate it a lot. I'm trying to post a lot more videos :)
one of the best presentations of ABC mode - thank you.
Thanks!
Damn for a 2008 looks like it just came out in 2017, I might get this one or a zx6r of the same year.
lmao, u sound like jarno from the dudesons. Great review tho man.
hah funny. But thanks for watching!
Good bike to be high on, C mode for a stoner riding home LOL
It's also a nice way to die 😂😂😂
Haha :D dont Drive on drugs

All is very true and i totally agree.
I'm about to purchase this bike and your video from a regular guy on regular riding conditions is nice...thanks!
Thanks very much!
Man I love how it sounds so quiet until it hits 10k rpmsXD
That is true 🙂

I bought this bike after passing my test on a ER6N, ran it in C mode at 1st, great bike if you can control yourself.
i had aprilia rs 125 4 tact, and i'am thinking to get a gixer 600, i did like 2000kms.
your thoughts?
btw great review, be safe out there!
The Gixxer is one of the best "big bike" out there. I highly recommend it
Dude where are these roads they're beautiful
Finland :D
Hard to say. Can't really help you on this one. Just check the bike overall. Check on the internet when the big milage repairs begin
THis looks like a great bike to start without the need to buy new bikes once you grow out of it. Does only the 2008 GSXR 600 have this A B C Mode?
supa dupa If i remember correctly, the ABC modes were introduced in the 2008 gsx-r
IMO thats a really neat function! Too bad they got rid of it. Is that the K8 version? Guess i need to search for a 2008 bike as my starter..
supa dupa yeah K8. But of course every 600 gsx-r from 2008 upwards have the ABC modes.
Oh my bad.. misread that. Thats awesome! Do you happen to know the exact terminus for this mode feature?
supa dupa no i dont. Sorry. I havent had this bike for almost 2 years anymore 😄
How much would y'all pay for one with 13k miles on it and straight stock? Bikes in solid shape
why did you stop posting videos? i hope you didn't crash... btw awesome bike..im getting one in summer
+Houssam Naim No didn't crash :) It's winter time in Finland so no videos sadly :(
But i've got a really special surprise coming in the next month or so, so stay tuned. I'm so excited!
C- mode is meant for wet or less traction conditions not for learning 😂, I guess it would work for that too.
True, but it's down by so much power that i would never consider putting C mode on a wet day. I just had it on for like 1 day to be comfortable with the bike 🙂
C MODE : 1:12
B MODE: 2:17
A MODE: 3:12

Hey, what is the seat height? I wanna upgrade from a Ninja 250R.
It is around 81cm. This is a good bike to upgrade to!
Hey man, you say that the Youshi R55? You didnt replace the mid pipe? Just a slip on?
It had the Yoshi R55 on it when i bought the bike. And it's been 2 years since i owned the bike so i'm not sure if the mid pipe was changed.
Hy. My question is, when starting the bike and moving off when "no mode" is selected, what mode is the bike in ? Is that also full power like A mode ?
If i remember correctly, it's default setting is A mode.

You can do it on the move but you have to hold the clutch as you do it when driving.
does your bike always have a blinking gas light?
I don't have the bike no more. But no the fuel light comes on when there is about 50km left in the tank :)
