Straight up! Leavin that woman in some tire smoke and rubber chips boy! Plus you be doing her next guy that rides a favor cuz she might never say that again! People helping people. It’s beautiful. 😉
sean kelly lmao you’re one dumbass individual. Women who want to control men by having them to get permission for them to do and get the things they want are not worth being around with.
I ended up with a ZX10 with 10k on it for $4500. Then bought an 08 KTM XCW with a dirt and street set up for 3k. It was a nice GSXR, just wasn't for me, at that time..
Dude, you need to know what you're talking about before you go accusing the guy of things. The "missing bolts" are for reflectors, and ALL Suzuki's require the clutch to be pulled in to start. This is common knowledge, and you're questioning him because you have never heard of that. You then go to mention how many other non-Suzuki bikes you've ridden to further prove your ignorance. The dude obviously didn't know too much about the bike, I'm not sure how you couldn't pick up on that.
+Scooby Doo (Scooby750) GSXR is the only one I haven't owned. You're right. I was not aware that you had to pull in the clutch to start them. Glad I found that out. I was just doing the best I could to find a good used bike. I enjoyed the process. I'm sure that was a reliable bike that someone else was happy to end up with. Have a good weekend, bud ✌
I was going to sat it a bit nicer, but Suxuki's don't need the clutch pulled in anymore. I just bought a Brand New Old Stock 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000R ABS three days ago, it has an easy start you barely touch the start button and it electronically starts itself. They did need the clutch pulled, I am not sure when it stopped, might even be just the model I bought, it has the extra "R", and all the electronics, Quick Shift, Blipper, Launch Control, Anti Wheelie, Traction Control, some others, Gas Gauge. Everything, and 200 Horsepower. My first Suzuki but I did know about pulling in the clutch to start them, a Gixxer thing. Other Brands have their own idiosyncrasies. Take care.
Sometimes you can find legitimate amazing deals. I am just starting on bikes so my word doesn't count for much, but I just bought a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300EX ABS with 788 miles and in absolutely perfect condition with an M4 slip-on and a fender eliminator kit. He is also adding in $200 worth of extra stuff he bought for it. All for just $2900
I deleted my initial comment since he felt he was too much with his questions and too much authoritative but after he pointed out mant things, I now find this video very informative
I remember when I was 24 buying a used 2003 GSXR 1000 from a shady dealership and as I was going down the road leaving the dealership I noticed that the handlebars were bent. Best bike I ever owned. I wish I still had it today with the bend handlebars and everything
Good questions just kinda seemed like an integration I thought you were going to ask what he had for breakfast I get it tho better to ask every little thing than not
That bolt that's missing isn't a bolt it's where the reflector used to be. All Suzuki' require you to pull the clutch in until 2016 I believe. I would check the oil too. Make sure it doesn't look old and it's at the proper level.
to add to this, if you can ask the owner not to start the bike before you get there. then when you arrive make sure the motor is cold and check the oil before it starts. people add extra oil to hide engine ticks sometimes, but if you check the oil cold you know for sure how much oil is in the bike and that there's nothing to hide.
Bryce Czirr I made this mistake with my first bike just because I was so excited to finally have one. Hugeee mistake but I gained a ton of insight from it, so it can be a very great teacher.
Great video John - probably someone mentioned about the clutch issue to start (well not issue since it's with other GSX-Rs) until 2016 models but other than that always learning! Great
IIRC all gsxr's stock you have to pull the clutch in to start them no matter what gear they're in. However it's as simple as gluing the pin that's under the clutch to be permanently stuck in so that you don't have to pull the clutch to start it.
Also, btw, the K3 GSX-R 1000 came with titanium headers from factory. Just a pointer. So if it looks like aftermarket headers, look closer, it can be deceiving :)
hows the powercomander work huh it givz it muh powar... its helping riching up the fuel the pipe and air filter makes a allready lean running bike from stock run leaner. aka hotter. i didnt see what he had pc3 or 5.
I've had a DR 100, SP250, RM 250, DRZ 400 that didn't require it. GSXR is the only liter bike I haven't owned yet. It seemed like I would've ended up with one last year when I was in the market. Happy to have ended up with the ZX10 tho! Rare to me to have to pull the clutch in to start while in neutral, but good to be aware of. Ha. Cheers, Alpha Zx10r!
sean kelly looool, you’re the one calling me a poser yet you have grand theft auto videos uploaded to your channel. 😆 I’ve been riding for quite a few years and never once have I looked at that reflector and said “good thing he had that on there it made him more visible” you’re a clown kid.
+OspreyBravo18 gsxr 600, Yamaha r6, and gsxr 600. I've also riddin a cbr 600 quite a lot and liked it but just feel like the gsxr was easier to get use to
TROLLERcoaster Well if you've spent more time on a GSXR then sure. I like the GSX-R750 because it's got that pull that I want without making my eyes bulge out like the 1000 does.
Right? Ide feel more comfortable if he had a glock in one hand and a slice a pizza or sum sh!t in the other! No way do we fall for the ol’ hands in the pockets trick uhuh.
Man this is painful. Buff that out? Homie. When you see a scratch that deep there is nothing to buff out. There’s no clear coat left. Whatever did that went straight through every coat of paint the bike had. All you can do is use touch up paint.
+Bradley Nelms Yeah, maybe it was. In person, up close, just wasn't the one for me. Glad I kept looking because I'm very happy with the ZX10 that I ended up with. Even had enough left over to pick up the KTM. I'm sure the GSXR made someone very happy tho 👌
Never had a bike myself but god been looking at bikes for 3years also prob 3000 videos so far but i don't wanna be that guy that just buy what i thinks ''looks good'' if know what i mean. So for you exp guys out there any tips on a ''first'' bike would be much appreciated :)
When i sale something i'll take you around show you whats what and you know the price ,The seller didn't show you anything ,you spot all the wrongs just offer him lowest price .But can't blame you if the don't like it walk away .
Do you buy bikes or are you just tyre kicker ? never buy the first bike you see so they say,I got Suzuki gsxr 1000 k5 the bestmodel they ever made. Entertaining video.
Austin James Depends on what kind of insirance company you have, and what kind of insurance package your tryna get. I looked it up for me on many different companies it's always been between $200 and $250 a month.
why would someone choose the zx10 04 05 instead the k7 with such low miles? and yes for a bike that needs just a chain some bolds around and a damn service the condition is great the zx10 is an awesome bike dont get me wrong and the deceiving top end madness can get most ppl shit their pants as in my book zx10r consider a psycho so hats off to u sir but kawis are weird bikes in general and sometimes ,crap. im sure youll be regreting for not getting that gixxer. why not a 2008 r1 though?:p p.s i believe the bike had the original k7 colour scheme and fairings p.s 2: dual exhausts stock add 20lbs on the gsxr the price.was a bargain plus ecu commander and single lightweight exhaust mod. all this for some missing bolds? by his looks 4700 cash he would easily give it same day
+Elijah Hinton brake pads, tires..what type of oil have they used, how often do they change the oil..when was the radiator last flushed..have they ever replaced the fork seals..how old is the battery..how long ago were the plugs changed..what kind of air filter, when was it changed last..inspect the clutch cable..has it ever been laid down..touch the exhaust pipe before starting it. Should be cold. Unless they were warming it up before you got there. Listen to the bike start up and get warm. The bike should start and run smoothly. Motorcycle John yep my 1000f Honda Kawasaki 900r honda 919rr 05r1 all would start in N with OUT pulling in clutch 06 boulevard 04 gsxr 1000 had to pull in clutch
if this guy came to look at my bike and asked some of these questions id send him on his way. giving me advise on what i should do .... i get you want to gather information but come on. its has 4K miles.
Once your GF wants YOU to get rid of your ride, it's time to get on your ride and leave her.

A Suzuki gsxr 1000 with 4,200 miles on it for $7,000 is a steal!
I ended up with a ZX10 with 10k on it for $4500. Then bought an 08 KTM XCW with a dirt and street set up for 3k. It was a nice GSXR, just wasn't for me, at that time..
Just picked up an 07 gsxr 1000 with 12,600 miles for 5k today!
Minnesota SuperSport I'm picking up a fz6r 8000miles 2014 for 2k
I just picked up a 2020 large steak and cheese grinder for $8 bucks. Now thats a deal. 🤥
Minnesota SuperSport salvaged. Lols

He's asking cause he dosent know lol how else is he gonna get the answer? You ask the owner
Thats a nice gsxr for its age.... bruuuuhhhh you make yourself look like a fool
I was going to sat it a bit nicer, but Suxuki's don't need the clutch pulled in anymore. metal9023 Same dude.
great video man. I'm thinking about making my first purchase soon. Lots of things to look for!
+Avery Kelly thanks, Avery. I appreciate that, man. Let me know if you have questions about your 1st purchase. Welcome, bud 👌
Avery Kelly What did you purchase?
I remember when I was 24 buying a used 2003 GSXR 1000 from a shady dealership and as I was going down the road leaving the dealership I noticed that the handlebars were bent. Best bike I ever owned. I wish I still had it today with the bend handlebars and everything
Good questions just kinda seemed like an integration I thought you were going to ask what he had for breakfast I get it tho better to ask every little thing than not
I actually thought it was his buddy in this was some kind of tutorial video on how to buy a bike.
Enjoyed the interaction, thanks for letting us see the process
lol bro suzuki's you have to pull in the clutch to start.
first name did you not watch the video he’s commenting on what he said
You can cut the two wires going to the switch and connect them to bypass it if you wanna
Never owned a bike you didn't have to pull the clutch in to start it
@@jimritzheimer7465 neither have I. The thing most people forget to do is put the kickstand up
@@jimritzheimer7465 had a 2004 Yamaha R6 I didn’t need to pull the clutch
Hey man great video, thanks for posting this I received a lot of good tips and things to ask when I loo buy my first bike!
You're welcome, bud. I appreciate you making time to share your feedback. Thank you, yabpiigotti1313.
Great video! Learned plenty, definitely subscribed. Looking for my first bike think I will go dealership after watching this. Ride safe😎
I've been compiling a playlist of videos for when I have saved enough to buy my first bike. Come tax time next year I'll for sure have enough!
I look forward to hearing about it!
That bolt that's missing isn't a bolt it's where the reflector used to be. All Suzuki' require you to pull the clutch in until 2016 I believe. I would check the oil too. Make sure it doesn't look old and it's at the proper level.

is it the camera or is the tail section kicked to the right?
Awesome video man! 👍
Thanks, DesertEagle90. I appreciate the feedback, bud 👍
The hell? $200.00 for insurance. Y'all getting robbed man lol
I would’ve told buddy to get out my yard and rolled my bike in the garage with a smile
Daido Latimore lol funny man 😂
Bryce Czirr I made this mistake with my first bike just because I was so excited to finally have one. Hugeee mistake but I gained a ton of insight from it, so it can be a very great teacher.
Great video John - probably someone mentioned about the clutch issue to start (well not issue since it's with other GSX-Rs) until 2016 models but other than that always learning! Great
+cossackal thanks, man! Always learning 👌
very informative video!
Good stuff!
Looks good for its age and low miles, power commander, pipe, new tire, good deal.
IIRC all gsxr's stock you have to pull the clutch in to start them no matter what gear they're in. However it's as simple as gluing the pin that's under the clutch to be permanently stuck in so that you don't have to pull the clutch to start it.
+Brawlercontinuum interesting. Thanks for sharing!
I have to pull the clutch in on my 01 Suzuki gs500 even if its in neutral to start it
It's like Forest Gump selling a motorcycle
I've got the same bike with 2,400 miles with stock pipes. The holes on the forks are missing reflectors.
Nice bikes! I appreciate the input, Tony 👌
That's a clean bike
bro!
those bolts were reflectors the previous owner removed.
+Firestarter true 👌
+Motorcycle John you should check out eric buell racing 1190rx!
keep it safe man
thank you!
Also, btw, the K3 GSX-R 1000 came with titanium headers from factory. Just a pointer. So if it looks like aftermarket headers, look closer, it can be deceiving :)

Lmao "where's this bolt?"
Probably gone with that god awful stock reflector.
Yeah cause being seen by other motorists isn’t cool. Fucking poser ass squid. Sit down.
sean kelly looool, you’re the one calling me a poser yet you have grand theft auto videos uploaded to your channel. 😆 I’ve been riding for quite a few years and never once have I looked at that reflector and said “good thing he had that on there it made him more visible” you’re a clown kid.
Seems so set-up but helmet off to the guy it gives us all something to negotiate about, well done John!
+Paul Robinson wasn't set-up. The first video of the series explains what I was hoping to accomplish. I appreciate your comment. Thanks, bud!
Lol you specifically said kbb and he immediately threw out the nada. 😎
is that bad
Is this one of the frame cracking risk years?
No I got the same bike. It older models that have that recall
05 and 06
I'd ask questions too. Why didn't you ride it?
Suzuki you always pull the clutch in... it's just suzuki
lol
I might be dumb but why would he need a power commander to boost the power of a liter bike, i bet u he never used half of its power, not even quarter
Did that guy seriously say he pays about $200 bucks a month for insurance??? Who the hell pays that!? 1:30
Gsxr is the best bike I've ever had
What bikes have you had?
+OspreyBravo18 gsxr 600, Yamaha r6, and gsxr 600. I've also riddin a cbr 600 quite a lot and liked it but just feel like the gsxr was easier to get use to

They are nice!
If u replace the chain u beat look at the sprockets too
Greasy
like how mush is the price of that bike i love it
Yeah the gsxr600 have that safety switch where you have to have the clutch in or it won’t start it’s just how Suzuki is lol
all gsxr's I've been on/owned required clutch. it's a pita but not really lol
My insurance was $350 for the entire year how the hall is he paying &200 a month for a bike?
Hands in the pockets...seems a little fishy.
True
Right? Ide feel more comfortable if he had a glock in one hand and a slice a pizza or sum sh!t in the other! No way do we fall for the ol’ hands in the pockets trick uhuh.

Yeah my k7 GSXR 1000 is the same way with the clutch. Gotta pull it or it won’t start
So basically just ask a million questions.
how can i get a motocikul
+Barry Vanson what type of bike are you considering?
Dam I would've told you go take a hike mad questions
scalicia1 so whatof he does? Not talking about a small amount of money for an item with tons of things to Fuck up
He has had all these different bikes but ask squid questions?
Why didn't you bother to get the bike? It seemed and looked like a steal!!
200.00 a month on insurance ouch. I pay 450.00 for the year . My insurance wouldnt let me pay monthly
Have to pull clutch to start because it's a gsxr.....
why do you ask everyone where they work?
+Frank Hot good question. Where you choose to work says a bit about you. Cheers 👌

Gets a 1000, gets power commander for more power. ROLLS MY FUCKING EYES.

Never buy the first bike you see 👌The bike I bought is on my channel. K5's are nice, bud.
The 2016 GSXR 1000 is a gem engine is amazing.
Did he say 200 dollars a month for motorcycle insurance, doesn't make much sense as I'm 19 and it would only cost me like 50 bucks a month.
Austin James Depends on what kind of insirance company you have, and what kind of insurance package your tryna get. I looked it up for me on many different companies it's always been between $200 and $250 a month.
Austin James I'm 20 & over here in Canada if I wanted to put a GSX-R 1000 in my name I'd be paying over $600 a month.
Ry n water in connecticut they gave me 600/month for a gsxr 600 full coverage
Let me know where the fuck you can get full coverage on a 1000 for 50 bucks at a months t 19
Cody Whittington Only place you can get that cheap is if you go to some small insurance company off the street.
why would someone choose the zx10 04 05 instead the k7 with such low miles? and yes for a bike that needs just a chain some bolds around and a damn service the condition is great
the zx10 is an awesome bike dont get me wrong and the deceiving top end madness can get most ppl shit their pants as in my book zx10r consider a psycho so hats off to u sir but kawis are weird bikes in general and sometimes ,crap.
im sure youll be regreting for not getting that gixxer.
why not a 2008 r1 though?:p
p.s i believe the bike had the original k7 colour scheme and fairings
p.s 2: dual exhausts stock add 20lbs on the gsxr
the price.was a bargain plus ecu commander and single lightweight exhaust mod.
all this for some missing bolds?
by his looks 4700 cash he would easily give it same day
motocycle john where did you get all your info
+Elijah Hinton what info are you referring to?
like all the info about that gsxr 1000 because i was going to be checking a gsxr 1000 out here soon
+Elijah Hinton what questions do you have about the GSXR you're about to check out?
just things to look for while inspecting the bike
+Elijah Hinton brake pads, tires..what type of oil have they used, how often do they change the oil..when was the radiator last flushed..have they ever replaced the fork seals..how old is the battery..how long ago were the plugs changed..what kind of air filter, when was it changed last..inspect the clutch cable..has it ever been laid down..touch the exhaust pipe before starting it. Should be cold. Unless they were warming it up before you got there. Listen to the bike start up and get warm. The bike should start and run smoothly. This kind of conversation should be helpful as you get to know that bike and also to help determine if this is the kind of person you want to buy a used bike from. Hope this is helpful.
always gotta check it throughly... I would do da same
I thought that k7 gsxr came with double exhaust pipes.
Yeah. This one was converted to a single. Dual-exhaust looks tough on those K7's 👌
Motorcycle John I totaly agree with you. Why would anyone want to convert to a single pipe? Well, apart from the weight save... Anyways, great vid!
Marius Gavrila Thanks, Marius Gavrila! I appreciate you making time to share feedback.
Clutch in = Suzuki
I can see the Chain and big gash and scratches enrything else looks good I would of asked to ride it and if everything was good offer $4250 and probably get it for $4800. 😎
For 5500 if you offered 5 and got it you would have made out
Dude you gonna test drive it or make an offer? Dont waste ppls time.. showin photos and shit
Suzukis start with clutch
All Suzuki you have to pull the clutch in to start and why do you look at bikes with a helmet on
Moto_Bodman Well... He has camera on his helmet and you can see exactly what he's looking at. It's pretty obvious why he does it that way.
this guy said he only rode it like 3 times but he put 20 thousand some miles on it? I would not buy from someone who lied about anything about the bike
You didn't tell him he was going on RUclips
Lol Damn this dude never toped off any fluids. lol why would u buy a bike and not maintain it?
tire kicker
Way tooo much questions. Just ride check the oil, tank and check if battery get charge and ur good to go....
Why you ask him where he works? Just check the bike out..
tommy d u b b s it’s called rapport building via conversation. Helps in negotiations
clutch engagement for ignition was standard Suz safety feature on all their bikes through 2009 I believe..
+Trevor Barrett helpful input, Trevor! Thanks, bud 👌
NP - just subbed- 47, old man LOL.. and have had LOTS of bikes,.. LOL
+Trevor Barrett hard for me to pick a favorite bike. Have you been able to?
oh yeah- not in any order but style 1- CBR Blackbird or R1 for supersport, 2- Warrior for the cruiser, 3- first Gen SV650 for mid level naked, 4- Gen 5 VFR 800 for best all around bike.. 5- Old school, has to be any Magna V45 or V65, or KZ 1000.. this is a 4 year video u r late little squid
Josh Evans doesn’t matter on a timeless video moped rider
Im curently at 150$ I need 50$ for a licens aaaand another good 700$ for a bike
+Simon Petkov be patient. $1 at a time. You'll get there!
Simon Petkov a $700 bike won't last you a year. Save up more and spend around $3,000 for something decent.
