Happiness is key. I don't see no point in leaving. Grass is never green on the other side. Never base somebody's else's experience for your decisions , do what work for you and your family. Trust me, 10 years experience on my 6th company 🤦🏿♂️
Been watching your videos for a while and I must say, your content is awesome! I start that school in August and look forward to seeing what Millis has to offer. Keep on keeping on!
@@OSheaShenanigans Me or Two Wheel? If me, then yep sure did. Went through the school, training and did OTR for a few months. Just switched over to Regional so i can see my family more but loving it!
Great vlog. Glad u are liking your gig. Even though I am a 4 wheeler this past year i gave learned alot from your vlog. I also follow other blogs and learn also. From what i can see, it is just like any career a person has. It is fit. It is the right place at the right time. Like you said what works for one may not work for others. So, your honest take with no super trucker talk is appropriate. Have a good week and stay safe.
@@TwoWheelTrucker1 Thank you. I have been at the same place of employment for 22 years. Could I have gone somewhere else? Of course. Could I be making more money? Of course. But this place works. I am not on the road 6 days a week, flying to different customers train, project management or putting out fires. Ie, cleaning up other employees mishaps. I travel one day a week to two customers, high value. Spend about an hour or two with each and then drive to the office. Is a desk job boring? Yes and no. It is what you make of it. I get to go home every night. I just tell my boss/owner of the company when I need time off and he always says " see ya when you get back." He knows there will not be any time bombs waiting for him. So, again, it is fit. I have about 3 to 7 years to retirement. Even though it is boring at times, I just do not see a move.
They pay by the mile. The pay varies depending on if you are experienced or not and then how many years experience you have. You can visit the Millis website for a breakdown of the starting pay that matches your experience level. OTR starts at 49cpm with one year experience and goes up by one cent per each additional year experience. Regional starts at 47cpm with one year experience and goes up one cent also for each additional year.
Congrats on getting through one year at Millis……are you planning on doing a video saying how much you made in one year? I know people like to know those things to get a good idea about going to Millis 👍
I have thought about making a video along the lines of pay before and still may in the near future. I will go ahead and tell you that as a rookie driver I made 50k my first year at Millis.
I'm thinking about joining Millis and was wondering how many miles a week do you get.i have a family and would like to be home weekends.i just want to know I'd I can make it on 5 days.thanks
I make on average 2200 miles in 5 days, sometimes more, sometimes less, but it is pretty consistent. But you have to keep in mind that it can be or will be different for each individual depending on loads available and also how you plan to run.
Actually yes they do. I never ask anyone to do this for me but if you are interested in doing this on your own just give them the following info when you contact them. (Driver code: COWAD) and (Truck number: 1634). I greatly appreciate you!
@@TwoWheelTrucker1 okay cool! No problem buddy, I will let them know. I’m with FedEx ground right now and they’re working the dog 💩 out of us and in the blazing heat. @@airborne_infantryman8628 you can ask for Naomi but I'm not 100% sure that she is still there. If she isn't then you can talk to any of them as they are all great with what they do.
@@TwoWheelTrucker1 Hey man, I hope that you’re recovering well from your ankle surgery. Just a heads up in case they ask if you know a Jeremy, I put your info in the box for who I was referred by on the application.
Congratulations on your 1 year. Seems like a good company and if it works for you, then maybe it's best to stay. Here's a video a link below. It is another regional driver for a company that seems pretty good from what you can see without really talking with a recruiter. Maybe it's something for you if you choose to move on. Best of luck. Great information. I start on the 22nd running southeast out of Ga! This was all the confirmation I needed
