    Although dated this is one of your very best videos. A classic that stands the test of time. A jewel really.

    Fantastic explanation of how to make the back swing easy. Works perfect for myself.

    Absolute gold. So simply explained and demonstrated. Putting it into practice? Now there’s the rub 😝

      Had a fair go at the range today and made a new PB in golf swing speed …went from the usual 100 mph for this time of year to consistently 107 mph seemingly with less effort 😮

    This video is amazing! I was struggling with my ball striking and found that I was starting with a wrist cock vs. hinge. I played today and had my best ball striking round in the past 2 months. Thanks Russell!

    This is excellent. I've been struggling with wrist hinge vs. wrist cock for years along with lifting the arms. This video addresses two of my biggest swing faults. Simple and great instruction.

    I like your analogy of the hinges. I am going to try this as my takeaway can feel inconsistent. Thanks

    Gotcha very excellent description on takeaway, now go into more detail on follow thru wrist action. What I got was it’s more natural release while many am’s will really flip wrists in an attempt to generate speed at the ball.

    Hi Russel the hinge fold and turn drill has immensely improved my swing in that the ball now goes straight I need to work on distance but being consistently straight is a dramatic improvement I used the drill with the driver too and it worked great video thanks Terry

    Russell, we communicated today. This tip is the natural progression to initiate my backswing, which I've been struggling with. I started to fire through the ball by turning through with my chest. I've been moving my hands instead of cocking my wrist to start the backswing. MUCH better, more consistent sequence to my backswing by starting my backswing with a wrist cock! Taking it to the simulator on the weekend.

    You Demonstrate a right arm fold (external rotation) where the forearm moves 90* to the right of perpendicular with the torso. I have seen GEARS analysis of top pros that show the trail forearm only externally rotates about 15* from perpendicular. Is that just the effect of having a second hand on the club? How do you reconcile this?

  • @HoopsnGitfiddles
    @HoopsnGitfiddles Год назад

    6:25 , 'do your fold' is the 90* external rotation I am referring to

    I totally understand what you’re saying about the right wrist but many people have talked about the hinge of the left wrist as the third hinging action to create more power. What are your thoughts on that if I asked it correctly?

    Russell, we talked about how it good be a great idea for you to put up on the back wall a grid so we can have a reference point during your golf swings. You are the owner operator of Russell Heritage Hardware and yet there is no grid. I feel empty.
