    Can't believe people are seriously review bombing a game that's good because the dev can't update because he's trying to not die right now. I swear, some gamers need to get their priorities straight

      Gamers are typically seperated into three camps; those that quietly enjoy games, those that are vocal and supportive, and absolute monsters.
      Sadly, the absolute monsters are the loudest and most vocal, but don't actually make up the majority of people who play video games.

      Giving a negative rating for a game not being finished is not in any way a wrong action or review bombing for that matter. Sure, it's not the developer's fault and it would be completely dickish to blame them but non of the reviews I have seen while scimming through them do that.
      Furthermore many of them seem to not know why it was abandoned, which fair enough, it is not a consumers duty to research why their promised product was not delivered.
      Any hate towards the team is unjustified but trying to paint people that just normally and fairly gave a bad review to an unfinished product as bad people is extremely uncalled for.

    Steam's full of diamonds and turds. When you release 14,500 games a year , it becomes a double edged sword. The crazy things is, statistically you've tripled the number of good games you get in a year compared to consoles, the bad thing is wading through the mountains of trash to find them.

    • @orchid9
      @orchid9 4 месяца назад +11

      thank god it self-regulates so trash just drowns in depth of steam's purgatory never to be seen again, unlike on consoles. too bad gems aren't always floating either, they often need some push so algorithm picks them up. But that's why we are here watching those videos.

    I actually disagree about "take down" abandoned games. Just lower the price accordingly (if it's broken than it's free), state on the store page in description that the game will not be supported and is sold "as is". I really dislike when devs remove their games from storefront. Just gimme that piece of content, I'd figure something out. I want to KNOW what I'm buying and that's it. We just need transparency, not some promises. I purchase games in Early Access AS-IS, never expecting any updates and it's smooth sailing, just don't forget to click "follow" in case anything actually happen with the game.

      I actually checked out yggdrasil a few months ago. I don't really like dogging on idle games that much, but it was pretty bad. As a clicker, its outclassed by... I think every single other clicker game I've ever played that doesn't include shitpost games? and as an idle game holy SHIT is it cleared by games miles better (free bingo answer: NGU)
      The only positive things I can say about it is that the aesthetic is fairly pleasing and the music isn't bad, but gameplay and mechanics wise it's really not good. Rebirthing is fairly useless, which is insane for a clicker game already. Holy spirits aren't useless but you're basically playing checklist simulator since the next one is ALWAYS better so no point doing anything with the previous ones. Clicking is 100% utterly useless, which is also another crazy thing since almost all clicker games find a balance. Overall just not a very good experience. I'm the person who spends way too long playing slop games made by cashgrabbing devs, and even I don't feel like putting more hours into it.

It's fun for a game or two with friends, but people pay full price for those because a lot of those who like sports games really only buy sports games. If you only buy one new game a year, it's easy to justify $60 to get the newest set of players. I don't get it, but it's obviously important enough to people to maintain the whole sport game market.

    -Funny costumes, possibly inspired by the players they have in the game to be more involved in the sport
    -Vr support, something so simple could be much more fun
    -obvious things like different arenas, make some like backyards front yards parks beaches, make some silly ones like the players being kaiju sized and using the city as a cornhole arena
    -have some modes separate from basic cornhole like a corn hole version of those crazy mini golf course, or overhand mode where you absolutely beam that sucker with over the top animation, or a party mode where you could aim for things aside from the goal to get powerups that do stuff to make it harder for your opponent to get in the hole

    i ditched payday 2 because of the loot crate debacle. if you dont remember the timeline, it was at the height of overwatch and devs realized they could milk you with a rng'd reward for a fixed price.
    in real world dollars. in a pay to access game, that was already at the time, charging 250% base price in dlc, at steam's discount rates, for the full experience. today, with the game 50% cheaper, it's still a whopping 250 dollars! 2400% base price!
    it takes roughly 40 hours of grind to setup basic gear for one build. if you want a fully optimised rig, it's 80+ hours, and you'll be paying for dlc's needed for THAT build.
    and they also were in the process of doing multiple nerf waves on shotguns, akimbo pistols... in other words the game i liked, went grinding for 100+ hours back then has nothing in common with today's PD2, to the point i cant go back anymore. i lost these hours entirely.
    the time needed to coast this game comfortablely is litterally a full time job.
    so yeah, i'm not, an probably lots of others, going to buy a starbreeze title ever again. especially since rng'd lobbies suck ass in PD2 (you'd only really want to play certain missions to grind, and try the other missions to let off steam, taking away that choice simply kills the point of having a variety of jobs available)
    looking back at PD2, i cant even begin to comprehend the pain overwatch specialists must feel today...

    • @Steampunkzter
      @Steampunkzter 3 месяца назад

      I mean you don’t need dlc to make a build and in 10-20 hours you can hit level 100, and if you struggle with 2 piece suit amcar and chimono up to mayhem with muscle then big rip, should improve those skills.
      Payday2 is a good game we revolted the loot boxes and we won all skins are earnable, only a few dlc are unobtainable but there not worth mentioning other than Scarface but even then that’s nothing pay to win in payday2.
      I’ve seen plenty of players start at level 1 and learn death sentence to hit level 100 and already be doing one down Louds before they ever infamy once. Even for stealth many a new player find stealth easy right off the go. It’s all just a skill issue. If you need help with the game just ask around plenty of people out there willing to play at 20-30k players daily for payday2 :)

    While stopping game development due to war is a reasonable result, that isn't what happened. It's important to know that Until We Die stopped development way before the war. The developer hangs out in Discord and posts to Github, but otherwise never says a word in any of his channels, English or Russian. I don't have a single issue if they don't want to update the game, but it is distasteful that he uses the pain of others to shield themselves from criticism on a video game.
