To remove and replace the power steering pump on this Mercedes w203 c200 can be relatively easy ; However to troubleshoot the problems can be tricky .
So one of obvious step is to check the quality of the fluid which can tell you a bit about the power steering pump ! If the fluid have foaming or air after you drove the car , you might have some internal leaks on the pump which allows the pressure to equalize between those 2 fluid lines .
Anyway since a power steering pump can be the faulty part in most of the situations , try to replace the fluid every 50 000 miles or when the quality of the fluid is getting lower .

Hello Sir I have a problem . I changed my pump but when I switch off the car all the fluid backfires through the cap with very high pressure. Please help what could this be
I love to watch your great hand work, I am really learning from you about my Mercedes C Klasse
That's cool !
Hey, I was wonder if the power steering pump is interchangeble because I have a C200k from 2000 with 111.955 engine and I have a found a power steering pump from c180 from 2000-2002 with 111.951. And i was wonder if the part was interchangble as they look alike alot.
I belive they are interchangeable
Another nice video! Good job! Now, hurry up and break your AC compressor so I can watch you change it out. 😂
I need to swap it out before next summer.
Thanks man ! Hehe I will do my best 😅
I'll second Oatz on that call 😁
@@williamshanasy2288 be warned, those arent cheap. not much aftermarket
@tarraxas man yep ... think I'll have to sell my grandchildren for medical experiments to afford it ... still haven't diagnosed the problem yet, might be as simple as a seal ... fingers crossed
@@doit_vehicles An AC video would be great when you have less snow.
Awesome channel. how do you stop oil getting into the MAF? where is the oil coming from? I have a SLK230K
Excellent videos thanks alot as its so annoying to watch same jobs in three times as long frustrating uploads in other youtube channels 😁😁
True ! I'am glad that you like it 😎
after changing the new hydraulic power steering oil, we got a slightly heavier steering wheel on the W210. Is something clogged because our car doesn't have a power steering oil filter
Hey great video I’m thinking my pump is bad but how would I know if it has a leak in the system Thanks
Hi Where is the filter of the steering pump, I can't find it.
I have problem with stiff steering wheel but i heard no noise and no leake fluid as well. Fluid also seem fine but i dont know how to check belt and Pulley? Do you have Video how to change serpentine belt and pulley ? Thank for your good tutorial
Does anyone know how easy the pulley comes off the pump? All the new pumps on Autodoc come without the pulley.
It looks like you are using the yellow non-Pentosin fluid?
Hello,i like your tutorial ,thank you for that, but could you make one for stearing box ?
Why do you change it?
W203 2006 model looking for the sps solenoid valve location. Cannot find it.
It does not exist on this model.... I looked for 2 days.... then dealer confirmed it was not there.
Great job. Thanks for helping me locate my power steering reservoir. Please, whats the difference between the 20 and 80 min & max? Thanks.
the fluid level should be betwen those 2 limits
Thank you very much for this! 😊
Thank for sharing
Excellent!!!
Love your videos I will watch is your fears #MadmikescustomsDaily
I changed the power steering pump on a c220 cdi and it got a little bit lighter but it is still heavy. I put the right oil on it. And bleed it 4 times didn’t do anything to it. Is the steering rack fucked?
Definitely
I need a help
What type of fluid? MB345.0?
that should work
Bonsoir 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
is it possible to replace just the bearing on the pump?
yes , but it might cost almost the same as replacing the whole pump
Nom de marque?
I have a question my power steering pump screams a lot (w209 clk320) so I checked the fluid changed it and checked the fluid level.
