Dude, are you kidding me? This tour guy is such a good story (history) teller!… he’s perfect for this kind of job… you can tell he loves the history of this place and can’t believe he’s getting paid to bask in its glory every day. He is a true “museum curator” & he should be recognized… but perhaps the highest form of recognition is to visit Peleș Castle and have him show you around. It should make us strive to love and spark a passion for whatever we do. Not only this, but you can tell that English is not a second language that comes easily & it certainly took him many years of studying & inputting English-language material to speak this well… it is even more impressive that he found the flow to become such a good storyteller in English.
Well that place is so truly beautiful it practically sells itself though his extensive product knowledge is very impressive he makes an excellent tour guide. That's not some stupid Disney Fantasy it's actual history and royalty and quality building materials and fine art.
I did visit this beautiful place when I was a around 14 years old. I never forget it for the rest of my life. And second time I visited when we were filming in Sinaia in 1985. Winter. We need it special permission because the castle was closed for the public. We were lucky enough get to seen this beautiful place and to visit inside most of the castle. 1986 I emigrated to the UK. To se this documentary again is a treat. I know the story of the castle. Unfortunately the castle is not in good condition. For the last 34 years no repair or restoration is being done. He needs asp complete restauration
This is simply one of the most fabulous palaces in Europe. I have visited this palace and it's well worth the visit. The guide in this video is very knowledgeable and professional.

Thank you for your comment Michael. You are right, this castle is really amazing and Costin Dumitru, the Museum Docent, shares his passion with energy and with a lot of generosity.
I visited this castle and was very impressed and it is one of the most beautiful castles in the world. I visited many palaces and castles in Europe, Japan, Beijing, and Egypt, but this castle is very unique. This video is very well prepared and very informative and provide many missing information in my own video. I hope I will be chance to visit it again in the near future.
Wow ! Quel château ! Et tu fais du très beaux travail . C'est très courageux aussi avec ton strabisme d'être devant la caméra ! Je respect ça énormément !
thus is the most beautiful castle Ive ever seen, amazing, there are not even words ti discribe how breathtaking it is. i couldnt even imagine living in a place like that. WOW is all I can say.
WOW! This castle is by far the best example of woodwork, furniture, and art I have ever seen. Your history commentary was EXCELLENT! Everything seemed so well preserved and cared for. What a pleasure it must be for you to show this palace to new visitors? 💯💯💯 Thank you!
I have travelled and visited all the various famous palaces and castles of Europe , but this one is by a wide margin the very best. Further to this , visiting Romania was about one - fifth the cost of most places , and the people are most friendly and accommodating, even when not getting money out of you.
Thank you very much for the super tour! There are many people who can't afford to travel, and this castle would be incredible to see in person. However, with online tours such as this superb tour, people from all over the world can take a tour right in front of their computers at any time of the day or nigh! This castle is breath taking and the wood carving is incredible! Such a skill is long gone. The docent does a super job! The docent seems like he enjoys his job and he loves history. BTW, his is also really handsome as well.
It is amazing that in essence this is a modern castle compared to Windsor at almost a thousand years old. Looks so ancient and like Neuschwanstein in Germany. Glad it survived the USSR years. Beautiful.
This video tour is excellent, thank you. Next time visiting Romania we must be there! As austrians we are impressed of this wounderful handcraft and it reminds us how many places in the world it shares. Of course every culture can proud of it's art and architecture and this harmony is overwhelming. 🙏
I have visited all the great and famous castles of Europe over the years , and this one is by a wide margin the best in quality and quantity. This is enhanced partly due to the fact it has not yet been overly commercialized. When I went , I was allowed to not be part of the tour , to wander at my own pace , and leisurely stroll , actually seeing everything, unlike Neuschwanstein for example where I felt pushed through like cattle with so many others I could hardly see anything.
I've feel blessed just to have seen this video of this most spectacular castle the fact that human hands built this is proof that there is a God for how can such beauty be constructed without divine inspiration
The tour was spectacular everyroom is very different from another good furniture, great details, etc. I love this castle and thank you so much for making us feel that we are really there the host and the rest of the people who is behind this tour did an excellent job. I was wondering does the custodian of the crown still use this castle for personal use or just for public function and does the family own all of it or percentage of the castle.
Thank you posting this on youtube, played resident evil and discovered its based from a real castle. this is beautiful and elegant, will definitely visit this one day.
the wood work was incredible. would love to be there when they oiled down the objects all that lemon or whatever they now use. also helped him with his English when he said ,"we are now going to separate the rules" upon breaking from the allowed tour to enter the kings room,". He meant break the rules
Sorry, Peles Castle is located on the valley of the river Prahova, Wallachia / Romanian Principalities, not in the heart of Transylvania. Thanks for the tour.
You know about taste how? Some people wear gold watches, drive red convertable exotic cars and sport diamond bracelets. Poor taste or you just can’t afford it
As a carpenter this wood work has got butterflies in my stomach this is absolute eye candy for me!

If you want him your personal tour guide not as a group guide I think you have to booked in advance

It's utterly obscene how exquisite this palace is down to the most insignificant details.

That is unbelievably beautiful.
The work on the wood is mindblowing. Stuninng . And all of that was done by hand omg .... astonishing
Beautiful and impressive. I am glad that it was spared.

So detailled and fast explanations.
Thanks! 😊

Would love to see blueprints and pictures of it being built.
Lady Alcina Dimitrescu's castle
Such a lovely castle. I got the game just to look at the teapot.
Sorry, Peles Castle is located on the valley of the river Prahova, Wallachia / Romanian Principalities, not in the heart of Transylvania. Thanks for the tour.
Im fairly sure i uster live somewhere like this
I was waiting for lady dimitrescu to pop out and say hi
Keep going
Is not located in the heart of Transylvania! It is located in the North of Wallachia closed to the former border with Transylvania.
It’s still the current border not the former lmao, Transylvania still exists ffs
@@dacian_1346 in your imagination... there is no any border, but you are too dumb to understand that
@@dacian_1346no, it doesn't
@@romapping2105 yes it exists I’m from Transylvania dipshit, go back to elementary school and learn basic geography.
the castle's exterior is more beautiful than its interior especially the entrance
Nice
Super sjuper nice
How did they get permission to tour this from alcina
Reminds me Hatfield House in UK, have never seen anything like it in Russia.
This guy is so charming... And this palace is really impressive. Definitely not of a very good taste, but nonetheless I love it.
You know about taste how? Some people wear gold watches, drive red convertable exotic cars and sport diamond bracelets. Poor taste or you just can’t afford it
Cannot disagree more - it's the most tasteful castle ever built down to the finest details to me.
Where is Lady Dimitrescu ??
It's actually looks like resident evil 8
Resident evil to be kinda realistic
♥️
I saw this from Netflix's Christmas Prince
I was hoping to see Lady Dimitrescu lurking in the background.
Is this place haunted? Because I believe I had a dream about this actually housing the ghosts of those that Lady Dimitrescu killed.
castle
dimetrescu ❤️
Resident evil village in real life 😂
Where is The Duke? 3:)
A better question is where is Lady Dimitrescu?
That castle is fit for a king lol
#Goheirs #23 #RabbiTRabbiT ❤
Madame Dimitrescu brought me here
Try not to change names! Carol ,not Charles!!!!!
Peles castle doesn't impress me
