    I'm sure in the comments somewhere, your followers have mentioned that since you have so much yarn and more to come, that maybe you could do a large blanket and four smaller ones for the boys to have as keepsakes as well❓❗️ Just love following you guys cause you keep it short but pack a lot into it. Please be safe on the roads and where ever you go and we'll be watching❤️😊😊‼️

    Oh that is so cool that you are collecting yarn from each State and knitting them together to make a blanket. That will be treasured for years to come along with the wonderful memories. When my husband and I travel to a new State, I collect that State spoon as well as collector spoons from different countries. As you know, the hunt for them is half the fun!! :) God bless your travels and be safe :)

    How did I NOT know Mountain Rose Herbs had a B&M store?! I've been buying bulk from them for 12 years!!! Herbals, coffee, then yarn?! You are my people. Helps we share the same name. ;-) Maybe OR is where we were meant to be. LOL

    Oxtail soup is so good. Haven't had any in a while, thanks for the dinner idea. Also, I cry when I cut onions. Don't know why they make me sad.

    Love the blanket your doing! I'd make everyone of the kids a blanket to! It is nice to have a clean car or RV. Dinner really looked good!

      I don’t think I have enough yarn for that, but that might be a possibility!

    Make 2 blankets. 1 to keep for all the great memories for you and the family and another with a written note of the places that you got each yarn. The 2nd blanket could be put up on an online auction so a lucky winner can also share some memories. Just a thought :)

    I'm here crocheting with cheap yarn as I watch you going to all these amazing yarn stores & buying luscious yarn. I heard someone say, "the more expensive the paper the longer it takes to draw the first line." I have some gorgeous silk & bamboo yarn that's been sitting for years because I don't have a great plan & I'm afraid to mess it up. I'm loving watching all the cool yarn stores that you found along your journey!

    Hope you are writing down which yarn for which state and why you chose that color for that state. Maybe glue yarn sample on page with description. You will forget. Maybe seven blankets? You have time to make that decision. “Happy trails to you”.... TFS

    • @TheHollarHomestead
      @TheHollarHomestead  6 лет назад

      I am! Because my brain doesn't work these days lol. I keep each tag, write the color on it, maybe tie a small piece of yarn to it, and stick it in the state page in our scrap book.

      I couldn’t remember if they carried local yarns as it has been a few years since I have gone that far for yarn.

    • @TheHollarHomestead

      I didn't see any local yarns, the one I got was a Malabrigo. But I loved the shop itself!

      I just saw your next video in Newport. There is a yarn shop in downtown Corvallis with local yarn (or at least they had local when I went in there with my mother-in-law a couple years ago).

    Couldnt you make multiple blankets like maybe one for a king sized bed and one for each of your sons to fit a twin to commemorate your trip that way you wouldnt waste the yarn.

  • @waryr11711

    Are you going to use blk yarn to write the name of the state in each block? Just thinking if it gets handed dwn other generations won't know which state they're from.

    • @TheHollarHomestead
      @TheHollarHomestead  6 лет назад +1

      I was thinking I would get some white fabric tags and either stitch the names on that, or write them with a wash-safe marker and attach it to the back of each block.
