I bought that training aid at the start of the pandemic or in early stages of the pandemic. I just do short swings into my hitting bay in my garage for 15-30 mins 2 to 4 times a week. I really didn't think it'll help and it took some time to get used to putting it on and taking it off. But over time I got used to it and it got rid of my flippy wrist. Likewise, It's like a 2 for 1 training aid for me. When I did short swings or slow swings, it forced me to be aware of my sequence and impact position. This resulted in Crispy Crispier delicious ball contact since using this training aid. this thing increased my distance and direction from wedges to 3w. I also use this training with a towel under my armpits to chip low, medium, and high balls flights. (I prefer no hinge when chip or pitching)
Thanks Eric, it’s amazing how many times I come home from my weekly range session and you pop up a video about the exact thing I’m struggling with 5mins later. Cheers.
What Eric teaches is correct. I took a 2 year step backwards listening to instructors teach early ulnar deviation which is the last thing I needed as chronic early caster
I love how you mentioned how “right wrist back, means left wrist is bowed”. This is great for people that need to feel their dominate wrist back, instead of struggling to feel the left wrist bowed. These wrist conditions are top 3 in importance for becoming a good player. I think the other 2 are right side bend through impact, and hip rotation. Those 2 may be debatable, but wrist conditions ARE NOT. Great stuff, as always, Eric. Love your channel. My last 4 rounds have been 71, 72, 75, and 76 because of the 3 things I just mentioned. The 1 under 71 should have been a 69, but I doubled the last hole. Can you say choke!? lol
This is a very good illustration on how your right wrist(for a righty)should work. It’s like you are losing an arm wrestling match. However as we all know, along with that wrist move you need to move your pelvis/chest and arms correctly and in proper sequence so you stay in posture and behind the ball. This gadget looks like a great training aid for your right wrist, but just be aware that left wrist flat through impact does not solve all problems. It’s a good video and great advice though. Thank you.
Just grabbed this and used your code. Hoping to form good habits as a very new golfer (~6 months). I know this video is about impact, but how much of the right wrist bend is responsible for shaft steepness/shallowness? You can really see this in the video at 5:07 - 5:10. Great stuff!
Awesome Jacob! You'll love the training aid! I touch on your question in regards to how the wrist angles affect the shaft shallowing in the following videos: ruclips.net/video/UHC5qMughtg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/VWXiaem09Co/видео.html Hope these help!
@@swisstrader I use it quite a bit. The issue is I strike the ball amazing with it on.. then it’s really hard to get the exact same feeling with it off. So it hard to transition from the using the aid to without using it and get the same results.
@@drmordica08 I've seen some references that suggest when wearing it, you should work on pressing the back of your right hand into the aid on the downswing, so you are conscious about that feeling and not trying to pull away from it. Then when you swing without it, you'll be more likely to keep the focus on the hold and not breaking your wrist. I'm sure the hold will be less without it, but more than you would without the training aid experience. I'm looking forward to this, mine should be arriving this weekend!
This thing is also great for chipping if you have flippy wrists. You learn how to make the right movements without adding power/pop by smacking at it. The hitting impulse is so strong. This helped me tame it.
You are an amazing instructor. Glad to see you work with Mike Malaska as he also is amazing. I can tell you first hand, this is the best golf aid developed in the last 20 years. Hey Michael! Yes for sure....practice swings never look the same....no ball no consequence....which to me makes them virtually worthless. To change I would 1. Make sure there's nothing going on earlier in the swing causing your brain to do it (make sure the club face is closed early enough and coming from inside) 2. Start SLOWER....like 10% speed...and shorter and build up. 3. Only hit balls no practice swing....record...and judge on those
So this gadget keeps the right wrist at that angle through impact by locking in the clicks as you take it back? Won’t allow you to throw your right wrist? Then to reset you manually release it?
I’ve had one for a year and yes you manually reset it. I found it a little cumbersome . It’s good for half swings, full shots can be a challenge. If you go at it the lock will sometimes release near or after impact . Decent product but to hit shots with it on and off, which you need to for long term effects, takes time to take it on and off.
For the 2nd version of the product, they should add a small watch battery that would allow there to be a release trigger that could be accessed with your Right Thumb to re-set/release the lock-out, it would be perfect and allow for repeated hitting without reaching over. They should rent this device, like they rent bowling shoes at bowling allies, at all golf ranges worldwide - it would make for instant improvement for 99% of golfers I see at ranges

If this device keeps your right wrist bent back into the lag position all the way through the downswing and not allow the hands to release after the impact point wouldn't that cause the club face to stay open causing pushed or sliced shots?
Hey Eric. I’m asking this but I’m guessing I already know the answer…. Is this available in the UK. I waited months to be able to get my hands on the Hanger over here. I’m going to need a hold-all to get all my kit to the range shortly.

@@DavesRabbitHole Hi David. In short, brilliant. I have nothing but good things to say about how the device puts you in the right place with the correct wrist conditions. The only slight issue I had was that initially it started to hurt the middle finger on my right hand. I think it was a ligament issue due to the impact position and the very bent right wrist. Probably just because I haven’t usually been in that position and the ligaments in my middle finger needed time to get used to impact. I hope that makes sense. I would recommend it. Good luck.
I picked up Greg Norman's Secret a bunch of years ago. It's a lot cheaper and easier to use.I attach the device to my wrist for several shots, then I unloosen the forefinger with the device still attached to my wrist for several shots. Pretty simple to flip back and forth and maintain the wrist angle without stress to the hand when the device is not fully engaged with the forefinger. I have this secondary device (also inexpensive) that I attach to the club to get the PP#3 feel of the forefinger on the shaft when not engaged to the TGNS device. Ball striking & compression is really good now.
Hey Benjamin! I have that as well---love it...awesome product! I personally like this better as you can set in normal position vs Norman you set up with wrist already in extension.....I also like this one where YOU need to make the wrist to go back to set it in position again vs being set at address.... But all good--I love both and totally hear ya! Whatever works!!
EC!! Hope you're well, man. My brother-in-law and I were having a very lengthy discussion about this little gizmo last night. I'm THIS close to buying this thing (thanks for the promo discount, btw), but I have one concern, that being the lack of ability to wrist-release after impact (at about 4 o'clock or so looking head-on, where the trail arm gets straight). I've watched a lot of slow-mo videos about the trail arm being bent at impact and then finally straightening out after impact, but if you're wearing this, it looks as though it forces you to chicken-wing at the end unless you really supinate your lead arm. Do my eyes deceive me here? Am I misunderstanding what supination is, or perhaps misunderstanding what the wrists are supposed to do AFTER impact? Thanks as always!!
Hey Eric, will you do a vid showing how to train the later eventual release of the right wrist angle ...l'm getting stuck unable to swing to a full finish by holding on too long _ thanks 👍
Hey Jeremy! Perhaps....being able to keep it in extension that long is #1 goal for 99.8% of golfers. From there to top there's not much to it....just let it throw.

@@Asone82 thanks for the reply. I contacted Mike via email. He replied with a link to Amazon here in the UK. I’ve ordered one and it’s coming tomorrow. It cost £89.99 plus £2.50 for next day delivery. I’m very happy. Thanks again.
You'll love it Ian!👊
@@DavesRabbitHole Hi David. In short, brilliant. I have nothing but good things to say about how the device puts you in the right place with the correct wrist conditions. The only slight issue I had was that initially it started to hurt the middle finger on my right hand. I think it was a ligament issue due to the impact position and the very bent right wrist. Probably just because I haven’t usually been in that position and the ligaments in my middle finger needed time to get used to impact. I hope that makes sense. I would recommend it. Good luck.
still waiting for one for the lefties!!
Us too :)
how to use with driver swing
Hey Joe!
You can throw the right wrist sooner with driver👍
I've tried this right wrist move but I end up shanking or opening the face to much. Any ideas
Make sure hand path arcs up an in (left enough)
Make sure grip strong enough
@@CogornoGolf I'll try this tonight 👍👌
TRUE LAG !!! Bent right wrist (and bent & supinated right elbow/forearm) enables you to produce "true lag", rotational lag.
Need to pay for an expensive device to learn how to hit a ball. Any other way to learn this?
Lots of video feedback with a great coach!
Thanks as always!!
you can still finish by rolling the wrist from right to left with wrist back after contact. Ball is already gone by then
I had a Greg Norman’s Secret it was great but I lost it
👊
Hey Eric, will you do a vid showing how to train the later eventual release of the right wrist angle ...l'm getting stuck unable to swing to a full finish by holding on too long _ thanks 👍
Hey Jeremy! Perhaps....being able to keep it in extension that long is #1 goal for 99.8% of golfers. From there to top there's not much to it....just let it throw.
Wouldn't "the hanger" work much in the same way?
Absolutely.
As mentioned we love left wrist trainers....but some people like left wrist some like right wrist
Why not completely bend back the right wrist in the backswing
You can...Ive seen 1,000s of measured 3d players....these are the general patterns
Bionic Eric
:)
No left-handed version, still…..
Yep---talked to them seems they are working on it
So 75% wrist set in the backswing, then increase that at the start of the downswing. I defs haven't been doing that
Hope this helps my friend! Appreciate you watching👊
you look like robo cop
:)
Way too expensive and PROSENDR trainer is better.
Appreciate the feedback!
