15:10 "won't miss this one"
*proceeds to thoroughly miss the biggest target for the second time in a row*
:D that guy was utterly useless. gets paid for not doing his job!
The few perks of working super early in The morning is seeing legends vids the second they go live
So you say you watch vids instead of working?
@@Pikilloification Maybe he watches them at least while going to work or during his break
This was an excellent display on how the ai just blows their wad IMMEDIATELY with abilities, and how that can be exploited
Being tired makes you more likely to be hurt by any blows, blows that you would normally shrug off easily. So you lose Armor to simulate that, rather than directly having damage taken +10% or something
Wouldn't that be melee defense though?
@@tux8000 No, Melee Defense represents the ability to prevent being hit at all.
What Samuel meant is that the hits you happen to take do hurt more.
I believe tired units not only lose armor, but also lose melee defense which is also a realistic representation.
All armour has gaps, your ability to defend those gaps definitely depends on how well you can defend those gaps, if you are dog tired and fighting slowly the enemy has a lot better chance to hit your weak spots.
It's true, body armour really does get thinner the more tired its wearer is 😂
Armour should be the only thing NOT affected by tiredness lol.
Idk man, metal fatigue sure is a bridge killer
Lustrian lizards get so tired they shed their scales, lol.
Armour may also represent the ability to use the armour and keep weak spots away. I am aware that is what melee defence represent to some degree, but for me attack vs defence is just if you hit and not how critical the hit is.
@@630perro also for infantry: Exausted dudes straight up dropping armor pieces to be able to keep up with the rest of their unit. Doesn't really work for big dinos whos armor is grown, but "no more energy to keep weakspots away" might work as explanation.
You can understand the drop in armor being that as one's exhausted, holding a proper pose to utilize your armor's protection gets more difficult
I need to try out wood elves at some point. Even just so that I don't have to fight them myself lol
Drycha hating the other elves and them hating Drycha means that even if you are the wood elves you will still likely fight wood elves. It is the sworn, hard-coded duty of Wood-elf race to grief you every campaign.
@@jfried6754 Drycha is a super interesting campaign, though. Even if a solid amount of her campaign mechanics are buggy
@@jfried6754 play the sisters of twilight and every wood elf that isnt drycha will be on your DMs the second Orion adds you as a friend. Even she comes around if you send her 10 bucks or fight someone she doesnt like.
Play Teclis. Get him a pigeon.
Now you'll love fighting Wood Elves.
Loosing armor when exhausted makes sense. A warrior dead on his feet will drop his shield and rip off some "unnecessary" armor like arm and leg plate armor.
*losing
Lmao nobody is taking off armor in a battle
Yeah and what about the Dino’s? They cant take off their skin
@@TeaserTravlein yeah, but i believe its a mechanic that was in a historical TW. who cares as a developer if it makes sense in fantasy?
@@WatchesYouAtNight you would be surprised! there are accounts, especially during the crusades of dropped shields and parts of armor along the path the crusaders took by sarazene scouts. accounts of many man chosing to forgo plate armor because they dont want to get a heat stroke and rather risk injury and death than certain death because of heat and exhaustion. People stop thinking straight when they are exhausted. And do things no sane man would do.
I don't know about Warhammer III Wood Elves, but in Warhammer II, they suck even in Drycha's faction unless it's her own army. So a big downside is that they have no shields. But even against infantry, their damage output for a normal commander like an Ancient Treeman make them suck. They do have the ability to sneak up on missile units so they're not a lost cause, but otherwise ignore them except for Drycha's army.
Kind of like a drycha dryad doomstack video. Shows that it is pretty viable early/late-mid game
"Dwellers below is fantastic!" Yes, yes it is! I use it when I sent in Volkmar and a few of his buddies, get all the enemies in a nice blob, life wizard always ends up with the most kills. Sure it's not as satisfying visually, but it does real work!
Legend you fool, those dinos are gonna come back even faster and stronger after that cardio regiment.
Wait. How the hell did Drycha get Vampire Coast abilities????
There's a dilemma that appears when occupying the Lustria tree settlement where you can either fight a Vampire Coast army or let the Vampirates give your armies those abilities.
@@StealthT0u Oh really? I learned sth new
42 pounders at the top of the tree
@@StealthT0u the more you learn, well I gotta test that out then.
Would an attached screenshot of the battle screen with the terrain included be helpful to parse the savefiles more easily?
IDK I can't imagine with so many people not even bothering to correctly label them I could see most people not bothering to do this. Plus it seems like any updates to this format get lost in the midst of these episodes. Like the rating system update, the rules for submitting. Getting separate small videos detailing changes or things he wants to see would be better than talking about them at the end of videos.
Yo Legend, can you show us a guide on how to efficiently do sieges and settlement attacks? Always struggle with attacking settlements, losing a lot of forces from being bogged down and shot at by towers. Is there a smart way around that?
Watch his disaster battle as ogres doing a siege, regardless of faction race that one helps quite a bit.
I watched a youtube short showing that races with flying unit demolish towers like crazy regardless of tower rank
@@ph3onixlightsworn232 Yeah, as Bretonnia even basic Pegasus Knights wreck towers really quickly, as well as, with their high charge bonus just delete any units on walls. Even a couple Paladins on Pegasi can just fly around and destroy any towers the AI builds.
Thanks for the replies guys! I will have a look at your suggestions
Oh wh2 i missed you. Flying spellcasters. Blobbing enemies.
i was missing these disaster battles, glad you got some in!
A question : Playing as Drycha if i confederate Durthu , does he buffs the malevolent spirits since you no longer can get the normal spirits ?
Yes but he doesn’t buff the Drycha faction war beasts like wolves, bears, spiders etc..
Well... This weird reason that their armor drops when their fatigue goes down kinda makes sense... Imagine this scenario:"Oh my God it's so hot I can't take it anymore... LET me take off my helmet and my chest plate so I can keep walking.." LMAO
6:35 why did they even change the battle music for woodelves in the first place? I think the generic human/dwarf music is more fitting for woodelves compared to lizardmen music
I'm hoping that it's a placeholder for upcoming dedicated woodelves tracks
To me, it feels more appropriate for them to have the lizardmen theme than the human theme, simply 'cause they're all forest-dwelling weirdos.
I would, however, prefer if they got their own theme, along with every other faction that's lacking one.
I actually never knew that exhaustion reduced armor, or even that it decreased damage along with the other stats. Insane
When your unit is exhausted and weak in the first place, you can literally watch the enemy hp go down 1 at a time
13:27 watch a sweet miss by the waystalker
Lmao that shouldn't even be possible.
The last couple videos you have mentioned "why is this hero in here, oh for siege attacker". I thought all legendary lords have siege attacker in WH3 so wouldn't the hero still be useless and taking up an unit slot?
If it’s a stalker, it’s propably to sneak in, and do quick caps, while your army stands outside range of towers, shouting and waving their weapons menacingly..
Waystalker is stalk and snipe. The purpose is to sneak into walled settlements to capture the victory points for an easy win against walled settlement battles. The AI doesn't really know how to deal with a big army on one side and a stalking unit somewhere else, usually the opposite side. Plus they don't value their victory points much, especially compared to a large force attacking (or standing still, menacingly) from the other side.
How did the herald of ariel confederate drycha? is that possible in WH3?
Yes, there's no special confederation mission but you can get her via normal diplomacy.
3 of the WE factions can confederate everyone. if u play drycha, u can only confederate durthu
Why did you chase down the coatls after they were shattered? Do they come back on VH difficulty?
This is so that after they retreat you don't have to fight them in the NEXT battle.
I made a few disaster battles and sent them in. I just purposely made poor decisions, and they come up quick.
How do you confed Drycha as sisters? O_O
I swear, armored, full level dryad ladies could beat anything!
Even ona normal battle difficulty, if i had this fight i'd be like: "Oh f*ck this game, I'd better start new campaign"
Meet Makla´gor, Malagors scaly cousin.
The best explanation I can give for fatigue armor drop is that, since the warriors are tired, its easier for enemy soldiers to get hits into the weak spots of their armor like the joints, since they can’t react as swiftly or effectively to defend them. I still believe it's pretty dumb and just a nerf to MD would simulate the same thing well enough I should think.
Edit: upon even further reflection i still believe a nerf to melee defense would simulate it better, as armor itself is a passive defense and it's effectiveness is unaffected unless the integrity of the armor itself is damaged and this is really the soldiers ability to cover their weak points, it makes the most sense to have it be tied to MD. Although a nerf to armor does actually make decent sense within game limitations because it would still be easier for weapons normally terrible against armor (like a sword) to be thrust into the joints and such, enabling it to have more "armor piercing" damage (which can't really be simulated more effectively other than buffing the unit that's attacking them, which is most definitely a lot more work).
Tl;dr: Armor debuff doesn't make a lot of sense, but a better simulation would be difficult without buffing the attacking unit instead. Overall just a MD debuff would work fine, as (most) units have at least one ap damage to simulate lucky hits, so more hits means more lucky hits.
Legendoftotal RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWRRR here. What?! I SAID Legendoftotal RAAAAAAAAWRTRR here!
Heres my logic to the armor drop : Armor makes you heavy, you have to be in good shape to carry it on you, running around in it, makes you tired and less able to carry all of it around, therefore you take some of it off to ease the burden. xD
What if their amour is from their body? Like scales or something
And then you rest a bit, pick it back up and put it on again? 🤣
That army is the most dangerous I've seen in tw warhammer. A rite of primeval glory is a joke compared to that.
8:57 Ion Cannons.
Now this is content
Enjoyable video
t'is a gathering!
I mean, Dwellers Below feels like what a spell should be... I'm sorry but it isn't Dwellers Below that needs a nerf, other expensive, high-tier spells need a buff cuz right now, magic is awful. Almost all Lores are useless except Life, Vampire, Deep, Nurgle and Tzeentch. Fire, Dark and Deep are ok I guess, but the others are just terrible, terrible wastes of already too scarce Winds of Magic.
Am I the only one who looses sound on this video, almost the moment he clicks “end battle”..?
I thought only Durthu could confed the Drycha
Durthu can confed Drycha but the Sisters of Twilight can confed everyone
Insane that fatigue reduces armor
People would just ignore fatigue in early TW games.
@@mrgoober6320 I mean mechanically I'm sure it's fine, it's just so weird thematically. I guess it is kinda supposed to be their armor os eighing them down more in their tired state
100% cheese
Dwellers Bellow is gonna get nerfed :(
There are easier ways of chopping up wood....
Wish you'd show videos where it was actually tactical. Every video is you just cheesing it.
Too bad AI is so brain-dead that tactical stuff simply doesn't work with it. You either cheese it or brute force it
Whats not tactical about this?
Comment for the algorithm
I'm not fat but i am thristy for legends cheeks
