Looks lovely. The starter/retirement home used to be common, but pretty much disappeared in the '50's. I live in an 864 sq. ft. prairie ranch house (no attic or basement) with an attached 624 sq. ft. garage and shop house that was built in 1945. I later met the woman who moved into it as a newlywed.
Thanks! I totally agree, I look on zillow sometimes and there really is a lack of small houses! Mine was built in 1951 to house the employees that worked at a nearby brewery. It's so cool that you got to meet the previous owner.
