  • Agent Blue Explainer:
Why cant I use bleach? Bleach gives an instant hit to the moss or mould, but then it quickly grows back.
What is Agent Blue made of then? Benzalkonium chloride. This was discovered by accident to be very effective on bryophytes.
What are bryophytes? Moss, mould, lichen, algae and liverwort. They all have no root system, no flowers and breed by spore transmission.
Where do bryophytes live? Anywhere, including glasshouse roofs, metal roofs, concrete walls, and if left untreated they will damage the substrate.
What are the advantages of Benzalkonium chloride based product as opposed to bleach? It wont burn or kill your grass or other plants around, due to it only targeting bryophytes, where as a bleach based product will.
This is a non-dangerous goods item, so easy for transportation and use.
