- Alabama vs Auburn Highlights (Auburn vs Alabama) | 2021 College Football Highlights. Alabama and Auburn played in Week 13 of the 2021 College Football Season. It was an insane game between the two rivals, which ended up needing 4 overtimes to decide a winner.

Exactly. Everyone complaining about them being up there still when they fought and deserve it, where as teams like Cincinnati, the only team that would’ve caused them trouble is Norte Dame. The SEC is the hardest conference in football, and Texas and Oklahoma are about to feel the pain like Alabama fans had for 5 different games this season

I've rarely seen a game with more energy on the field and in the stadium. This is why college football is so much better than NFL football.
You may prefer the college game, but the NFL is much more physical and well played on defense in the secondary. Today, I just saw two defenders angle off and catch Jalen Waddle from behind...that doesn't happen in college. Best of the best at the pro level
@@Andrew7244 the skill level is indeed higher, and the players are stronger and more athletic. However, you can’t argue that the nfl is more exciting. College kids just seem to play with more passion. The storylines seem to be written in advance based on how intriguing they are. That doesn’t mean the quality of football is better just more fun to watch
@@monte4353 You think it is more fun, but the ratings indicate that the general public would rather see the NFL. No college game has ever approached the ratings that a mundane MNF game consistently draws. Nor does college football drive the narrative on most Sports talk radio and shows. Pros used to be in college too. I think college football may only be king in the south. In the big TV markets, east coast, west coast, professional football is king. I love the SEC, but with so many player that play in the league, I like to follow them. As I said, they used to be in college too.
@@Andrew7244 the thing is you dont have any real connection to pro teams besides maybe living in the area of it. College teams is were people spent almost half a decade at and they have a direct connection with the school. They also just play for money and lots of college kids know they won't make the NFL and just play for there school as hard as they can becuase they have a personal motive rather than just money.

People may forget, because so much happened in the rest of the game, but this game really should show people just how important Williams is. Bryce gets all the credit, but JW IS the offense. Obviously not as good as DeVonta, but he is for Bryce what Smith was for Mac.

If you have to rely on one player to score then you don’t have a good offense. Alabama has enough talent to drop 40 on Georgia, Bill O’Brien is the problem. He can’t call plays to save his life and the offense always looks unprepared.

Much of the anti-Nix and pro-Finley comments are rooted in this modern version of a past failing. It began with the pro-Gatewood sentimentality. In some cases, I’ll be misreading someone. But I’m a white man from the south who’s not racist but has been around it for decades. I’ve tried to convince others, including some family members and close friends, the error in their thinking. Personally, I’ve had three black roommates in my lifetime, over five years. It wasn’t an accomplishment, but I damn sure know where I stand. Judging genetics is inexcusable, for they’re beyond our control. People are only responsible for their own words and actions. Accountability for behavior is justified. I agree. I looked at the replay of the winning catch several times (on a different RUclips video). Metchie gave a good fake to his right before moving to the left for the catch.
It was impossible for the defender to change directions in that split second because his eyes were focused on the quarterback's throw.
College sports will always be different that feel for both basketball and football games the energy in those arenas are crazy
It was nice to finally rip their hearts out at their place for once. Between the Kick 6 and some of the other crazy close losses at Jordan-Hare lately...this one felt good.

This is what I love about rivalry games it doesn’t matter what your record is what the point spread is it’s all about bragging rights. This was a great game and I know a lot of people will say Bama should’ve beaten them bad but this is what the IRON BOWL is all about. I’ve been a Bama fan all my life and I have to give a thumbs up for the hard-fought Auburn team that left it at all on the field. Great game. RTR. ❤️🐘

Me and my dad are Georgia (Dawgs) fans, but I was on the edge of my seat watching that game. Definitely one of the closest iron bowl games either team played and for their season in general. congrats to bama for the clutch win. The dawgs have been insane this year (especially our defense), but either way looking forward to next Saturday.

Man being an Alabama fan is hard sometimes despite how much we win. We have had SEVERAL frustrating nail biting games like this on our way to winning national championships. It's almost always against opponents we should beat. Tennessee in 2009 was one of the most anxiety driven games I've watched, but this one took the cake.
This was an instant classic. Credit Auburn for their defense keeping Bryce Young at bay for 3 and a half quarters, but without Bo Nix, they just couldn’t hold off one more roar from the Tide

Then they'll want out if they feel their team isn't with them. So, he went somewhere different. I'd say it worked out well for him.

Both teams had bad calls go there way. There was no calls on alabama and there was no calls on Auburn its just part of the game. I understand though this year especially refs have been making bad calls on every sec team. I'm a die hard auburn fan it was a great gane no one even gave us a chance to even keep it close but we had chances to win. I wish Bama good luck in Atlanta I really do hope they take out georgia but I'm not sure anyone can do it.

Doesn't matter what AU's record is, they turn into a completely different team for this game every year and I don't care what Bama's team looks like each season, I always know that Auburn is gonna bring their best game. Yeah, there's been a couple flop games here and there over the years but there's still no doubt in my mind that when the Iron Bowl comes around it is going to be a really competitive game.

However, not wining their division or conference they still beat the 2 best teams in all of college football that year - when it counted - #1 Clemson and #3 Georgia in 2 week's time to win the championship! There is a reason that Bama so often gets the nod and it's conference play. SEC is a tough conference to play in.

This game is right up there with the 2013 Iron Bowl as one of my top college football games I've watched in my lifetime. I absolutely thought for sure that Auburn was going to get another W clutch like the 'Kick Six', but Bama pulled through and snatched it. Phenomenal game and great plays by both teams.

Watch closely John Metchie's route on the final play. He starts out like he's going inside, then catches the ball, spins around, loses the defender, and he's in the corner of the end zone.
This Auburn team really kept it close, but credit Bryce Young and Alabama, because they really stepped up in this game.

That has to be by far the lowest targeting call I’ve ever seen. The best receiver, the biggest game, a literal borderline targeting hit. This has a huge impact on his mentality I bet just having to watch over an absolute INSANE HIT
Some of the targeting calls I’ve seen this season are just dumb. They have gone beyond crazy with this rule.

You have a point. It does seem like Alabama players get a lot more 'roughing' penalties then other teams.
Especially on defense. Thats how they lost the Texas A&M game earlier this year. Alabama is too good to play these other teams. They are crisp, explosive and aggressive.
That targeting on JW was a trash call. It was a big hit. The type of hit that is game changing!
It will be good to watch Alabama play Georgia. Which is someone their own size. Now they can flex.. FOR REAL
That's not borderline I've got no horse in this race was just watching. But he lowered his head lead with the crown made contact with the Auburn players helmet and launched. It was litteraly exactly what the rule describes. And defenseless or not doesn't apply right there because the contact was made to the head/neck area. The roughing the passer call on the 2nd INT was actually a bad call though
That was targeting. But some of the no- calls against Auburn were absolutely infuriating last night.
