As someone associated with the Marine Industry here on the Upper Texas Gulf Coast I got a chuckle about running your wires at the same time. I'm sure you HATE it as much as we do when a DIYer freak'n zip ties wires together every 3 dang feet before pulling them. Anyway great video. I've trusted Garmin for many of my 60 yrs of life. I just bought the UHD2-94SV w/ GT56 Transducer for my Shallow Sport 18 Bahia and seriously unsure where to put my transducer. Again thanks for sharing and as always "Tight Lines and Full Limits To Ya"
Good tutorial, thanks. Simple comments like “industry standard" are incredibly helpful for weekend hacks like me that don't know anything.. I can F up just about anything, but knowing I'm at least using the right stuff helps a lot. Again , thanks
Awesome bro! Thank you. Looking forward to the live well fix video. I am thinking about getting this boat in the future but from a hear the live wells suck and for what ever reason they don’t fix it lol.
Thanks I’m glad you liked it! My rear livewell has zero issues! One of the big reasons I went with the 17 over the 15. The front one works about 50% of the time.. I’m debating on trying the vent method or just pulling the trigger and going with a self priming pump.. I have no clue why they don’t address it at the factory! I work as a mechanic at bass pro and they are well aware of the issues.. but it’s a great boat! I have no regrets about buying it.. stay tuned I’ve done a lot of work to this thing. Working on all the videos.. thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it!
I connect it to the bus bar power and ground under the helm. It is controlled by the main battery switch. But you could connect it to the battery. Just make sure to turn off the unit and don’t forget. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks for watching
I'm in pretty shallow water most of the time so at higher speeds I loose it . But it has depth shading and contours so I use that to navigate. Besides it's on the back of the boat no matter what.. so if you're going to hit something..you already have ! 🤣
Only reason is that is how they show it in the directions.. I'm sure it works fine either way.. I've seen lots of units installed by others with nothing on them and they seem to work just fine.. thanks for watching and commenting
I laughed so hard when you said put the rubber o ring on the tip…just the tip!! As usual great video!!!! Very informative!
🤣🤣 thanks ! I appreciate you watching!
Thanx for this. Getting my mps17 next week and installing garmin 94sv uhd2. Perfect timing🤙🏼

So did you connect the power leads from the head unit to the main positive and negative of the starting battery under the center console ?
Power and ground where you connect?

Hey bud quick question.. would you happen to know if drilling the holes for transducer etc. void the Makos stem to stern warranty? On the Hull
You said you worked on boats alot is there a way someone could hire you to come out and do installs on boats?
Where are you located? I work at a boat shop and also have a buddy that does mobile.. I used to do more but don't do a lot in the Florida summers..
Did the clam shell you used come with the Garmin? Thanks
I like to use one made by sea choice I’ll send you the link to them. Thanks for watching!

Thank You@@ReelLifeFisherman
Does it connect with the trolling motor?
Probably a stupid question but would it be different placement on a trihull
Will it display your engine info?
Can you tie the garmin to your minnkota.
How does it work while your on place with the transducer placement you chose?

The Loop is only to keep the Ferrite Ring from slipping down away from the Garmin..:)
