wolfangblade hey thanks for watching my video! For your question, it could be a multitude of things and I couldn’t give you one answer. I can give you my experience though. There is a steady state that I found where I kept up my hr at about 80-90% max on my runs so I don’t over exhaust myself. For this exercise this was my MAX 1.5 mile run so it was an all out effort and I Definitely felt like I couldn’t breath after. Hope this helped. “It never gets easier you just get faster.”
wolfangblade don’t focus on your speed , focus on your endurance . Every other week , go 10% further . Once a month try going a little faster. Run twice a week on a treadmill and once a week just do sprints . Your goal is to try to achieve as much cardiovascular benefit as possible and increase your efficiency with oxygen . Focus on being able to just run 20 minutes straight without stopping first then start worrying about speed . A typical workout might be one mile at 7mph, then two weeks later bump it to 7.5 A rule of thumb runners use is you want to run at a pace that’s challenging but you could still hold a conversation with someone . If you can do that just barely , that’s your current pace . As you run that pace it will be easier and easier to run a mile at that pace and talk. That’s when you go a little further or a little faster. For some odd reason sprinting helps you too . Do 30/60’s (sprint 30 seconds; walk 60 seconds ) once a week , 5-10 rounds and when you get good at that do 60/120’s, which is the same thing but just longer . Follow this advice and in six months you will be running much faster and further and losing weight
